I would like to express my dissatisfaction with how this booking was handled. Requesting an additional payment after a booking is made, and then reversing the decision later, reflects a lack of professionalism and causes unnecessary stress and loss of time for the customer.
I booked a ticket using SmartFare and when I received the booking confirmation, it just said I was fying using "Regional Airline." It didn't specify which airline I was using and I had to ask Ai and do all the work myself to find out I was flying with FastJet. Under such circumstances, its easy for one to think that they have been scammed. That should improve.
Booking with SmartFares was flawless. I got my booking confirmation within 24hrs and there was a follow up email to confirm the receipt of the confirmation🤗
I experienced good and fast service. When I had a query they responded with in a few hours I can not complain about anything at the moment.
My credit card services was very strict on security and it took a lot of patience to complete the transaction, yet SmartFares stuck it out and helped me to get my ticket. They kept me informed and was available to take my call every step of the way. Thank you

My payment didnt go through due to my bank and after I fix it with my bank, I called to get them to put through the payment.
They told me that its now 80 dollars more, so i told them to cancel everything as the payment had not been made. The customer service rep ARGUED with me, then put me on hold to see if she could get the earlier fare. I kept saying cancel it, she insisted and put me on hold. When she returned, she informed me that she could get the original fare and that she processed the payment WITHOUT my consent. Then continued to argue with me until I asked to speak to the supervisor.
The supervisor kept asking if I wanted to keep the fare or cancel it, I told him to keep it now that the payment has been made. He kept asking me, over and over, then got angry with me for not answering him even though I had told him multiple times to keep it. He wasnt willing to hear my complaint about the earlier customer service rep either.
Absolute garbage customer service and both of them should be retrained in how to do their jobs and conflict resolution.
This site has saved my name and details from before I got married. I once bought tickets on this site from harare to cape town after I had changed my last name to my husbands. At that time the tickets were issued in my maiden name and I was convinced it was my mistake so I paid for the name change. But it has happened a second time and because the of that first mistake I always crosscheck and I've never made that mistake anywhere else. Just received my booking confirmation from Smart Fares for the exact itinerary I wanted at $80 less then the best price anywhere else. Haven't taken the trip yet, but so far so good!
Best price, and good response. As it is a global platform, it would be appreciated to have multi-language agents taking questions. They only have english-speaking agents now.
I booked the flight because it was listed as $624 CND on Kayak. All the other sites for the same flight were around $648-$650. When I tried to book it on Kayak, it directed me to Smartfares to conclude the booking. On the Smartfares site, the price for the flight was still $624. I did not add any additional options or coverages. So I was expecting to be charged $624. To my surprise after booking, it showed on my credit card as a charge for $650.86. I did not cancel the reservation because of the hassle. But I did feel that I got scammed…

The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price. SCAM SCAM AVOID!
