In the past we have used Smart fair and has been good. Although I had a situation with cancellation issue due to my Borther got sick and couldn't make the trip and they weren't accommodating to help. When it comes to cancellation that might be challenge to get someone to help you.

I bought a ticket and purchased the bag option. Then, when I got to the airport in Antalya, Turkiye, they said I did not purchase the bag. I tried calling Smart Fares from the airport on my internet phone but was on hold for such a long time that when they did answer I got disconnected because the internet had a 30 min limit. I ended up having my roaming calls cut off 5 different times going through customs & immigration. When I finally talked to a Rep, he informed me that I needed to call back and order my bag separately as the option was only for lost or delayed baggage. So, it cost me $263 for my bag. I asked the Rep why I would get baggage insurance if I didn't pay for a bag. That's SmartFares Policy. WHAT A WORTHLESS COMPANY! THE AMOUNT OF MONEY AND AGGRAVATION SPENT ON ROAMING CALLS AND A BAG BECAUSE OF THEIR DECEPTIVE POLICY ENSURES THEY WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANY OF MY INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS AGAIN.

It took forever to receive my ticket and booking information, i had to get on the smart fares chat help multiple times across multiple hours to receive it. I also had to pay an extra 150 dollars after purchasing the ticket.

Answer: Yes. They stated because of flight increase they canceled my flights. Then they wanted me to pay a balance of what the new increase was. So disappointing. I paid for four fares. They took the funds from the bank n then canceled my flights.
