STAY AWAY... SLING is AWFUL! I tried sling tv on the recommendation of a friend as a way to watch live sports. I tried multiple different sports and days and could NEVER actually find what I had hoped. There were ONLY two live NCAA on a Saturday... really... there are over 100 games being played. So I called and got a very nice woman who was helpful but when she couldn't fix my issue I asked for my account to be cancelled and asked for a manager to get a refund. I was unlucky enough to get Antwon who is not only a condescending $#*! but apparently he is the only manager ever available at sling tv. When I asked for his supervisor he stayed his name was Tommy but that Tommy doesn't take calls! That's convenient! So not only are their supervisors asshats but they don't allow customers to complain above the floor supervisors! They clearly don't give a crap about how they are screwing over their customers!

I *******% cancelled the service but just found out I got charged for 2 extra months. Customer Service agent did not do a single attempt to try and help out, never ever ever get this service.
Sports package is a RIP OFF for college football fans except PAC12 - 6 PAC12 channels, 2 BIG10 channels. 95% of Commercials on every channel target minorities. I get it- we're all supposed to be 'woke' now - don't beat me over the head with it when I have to pay for it too!

COMPLAINT: Sling TV did not refund my $25.00 within the seven-day trial period.
FACTS: I order the Sling Blue package on 11/23/17. I called to cancel on 11/27/17. The representative, Liz, refused to provide me a refund.
PRO: The representative Liz was very polite. She was very careful to avoid directly challenging me or saying no to my request for a refund. Instead she evaded my questions and repeatedly stated I was on a prepaid plan instead of the trial period.
CON: Sling TV refused to issue me a refund as a courtesy or because I was in the trial period. Even after asking to speak with the manager, Liz placed me on hold for over 45 minutes. The manager never answered. The phone line eventually disconnected.
SUMMARY: Be aware their promotion may be designed to make it difficult to cancel or receive a refund if you are unhappy with Sling TV service.
I am extremely disappointed with this streaming service. Not at all what I signed up for. Most of the "Live" shows are at least done a day before. Could not find any live sports available at all!
I was an hour late cancelling the "free trial" and they charged me $99. Saying that had I not used the free trial they would have been able to refund me... what BS
I activated the subscription to watch FIFA 2022 and cancelled the next day when I realized not all matches are available live in my area. They charged me for the whole month.
They have tons of bugs but the main ones, especially for watching sports:
1. Many games are missing the end or beginning. I understand that some games get longer than expected, but can; t they assign someone to readjust the actual play time? There are only few games a day at the most, and there is one recording for everyone (you cannot choose to add 30min like you can do with a normal DVR, only Sling can). A lot of games stop few minutes before the end at the cliff hanger.
2. On replayed games, Sling replaces the commercial with their own, and sometimes big chunks of the game are missing. Not only the commercial run over, they stitch it back missing entire drives and scoring plays in football. After the commercials are done, the scores are completely different.
3. On some channels, like comedy central, the Sling commercial start in the middle of the scene. And to make it worse, it resumes not at the same point, making it impossible to watch.
4. Some recordings will just not play. As a sports fan, I had to pay other subscriptions in order to see the same content that appears on my sling dvr, but won't play.
My husband and I chose sling over three years ago and were very satisfied with the service and pricing. Although, each year they increased the pricing by $10.00 we continued with the service because at the time they were still the best option. However, for the past 6 months or so we have been experiencing major buffering and other errors that sling refuses to take accountability for. Not to mention we are currently pay twice as much as we were paying when we first chose the service. We are at our wits end with having to restart a show/movie every three to five minutes. When restarting many times yo do not have the option to continue where you left off but have to start from the beginning. If you are privileged to see 30 to 40 minutes of the episode behold there comes the buffering and you have to restart from the beginning. HORRIBLE! Sling if you fail to resolve these errors and we have to continue paying over $67 monthly under these stressful conditions we will be forced to go with another provider. There is another provider out there and they offer channels that you all refuse to offer. PHILO will be getting our business.
I canceled my sling account and lift the US for three months, when I came back I found out that I was still being charged on my credit card. When I contacted them they refused to refund me the money and told me that they never received any cancellation even though I emailed them the cancelation email. DO NOT subscribe with them.
This company does not provide Competitive Priorities in Operations Strategy: Cost, Quality, Time and Flexibility. They also have poor customer service I will not ever use this service again. Buyer beware of the free-trial IT WILL COST YOU BIG TIME!
I called their customer service center only a few minutes after being notified that my card was charged, Rep said their policy is that they cannot refund or reverse charges. Customer rep would not let me talk with a supervisor and simply quoted it was company policy. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
SlingTV is garbage! I called several times that when watching a program it would freeze and requested a refund. Corine N. (supervisor) ranted the whole phone call not asking how she can resolve the issue. DO NOT GET SLINGTV. THEY ARE A SCAM.
They say you can have one stream with the orange package, 3 with the blue package and 4 when you get both. But I can not stream even 2 with both packages. The first customer service rep told me because of Disneys contract with them you couldn't watch espn on more than 1 tv. The second rep told me it was because of the orange package. So in short you can not strean 2 at all so I gave up and canceled sling tv and learned a 40.00 lesson. I will never go back to sling tv, once I say I will never return, bet on it. Just ask Verizon if I ever went back. These nodern snake oil sales men need to go.
Sling itself is just ok. We liked it at first but when they got rid of Bally's sports and we could not see baseball live all the time it became obsolete to us. My wife canceled online and that should have been the end of the story. However, four months later I got an email from my bank account that I was charged basically $70 from them. After I looked into it Sling never canceled our account and continued to charge us. My wife used their chat service to talk to a rep and a supervisor. They said they were sorry that there was nothing that they could do to fully refund our account saying that because it was a prepaid service that they could only credit back the latest charge. They would not investigate it, didn't care that we were not using Sling for four months, and didn't care about us as customers. Sling never canceled and we are busy with 6 kids and just thought it was done. We didn't know but Sling should have pumped out an email to confirm cancelation but we never got one and didn't know we were supposed to get one. So buyer beware that if you decide to cancel make darn sure it's canceled because you will get no where while their reps and managers are towing the business line that there is nothing more that they can do for you. That is what their answer will always be. We are currently looking into other options as we are not going to give them 210 for free. Extremely dissatisfied.
The internet said I could watch MTV Catfish Season 9 on Sling TV. I signed up but could not find this show or MTV. I checked again and the other site said I had to sign up for the "Comedy Bundle" to get this. I found a "Comedy Dynamics" and signed up for it. Still no MTV or Catfish. The first time I tried to cancell Sling TV, I went through the process, which seemed designed to confuse customers, there was no real cancellation option. The second time I had to sign in and was able to cancell.
They charged me a month even though I was not through my 7 day preview, the app sucks, freezes and they would not refund my money, now I have to contest charges
Their DVR feature stopped seriously short this evening when it decided to stop recording 30 min before the event actually concluded. The ONLY response the low-functioning single digit I.Q.; clock-puncher chat agent could muster was, "there is nothing we can do...that is our Policy and Procedure'. This was repeated several times as if the so-called chat support agent assumed I was deaf and dumb. While I am definitely not a rocket scientist, it wasn't a reach to figure out that "troubleshooting My Account" wasn't what caused the SLING DVR to stop recording a show because a specified hour was up. The DVR isn't located on any of my devices or my Settings account. I clicked on a specific sports event and the App responded with a confirmation it was going to record that event. What does my account have to do with that? With no help offered I simply asked the bot-like creature on the other end of the chat, 'why I should remain a SLING customer if that is what i can expect when I ask for support?, and no answer was forthcoming, only a 'friendly' invitation to cancel my account. I never mentioned or asked to cancel my account...I merely wanted a reason to STAY a customer. Shame on you SLING!
DO NOT TAKE THE FREE TRIAL! We were charge for the free trial even when the service was canceled. Rather than refunding or working with us, the C/S agent was argumentative and would not assist. We were forced to open up a case against Sling TV to have the issue resolved. Due to this problem, I can not recommend this service. Not a safe company to do business with.
I subscribed to sling in 2023 for a couple of months and decided it wasn't for me. My husband decided he wanted to try them 9 months later and set it up with his information. The next thing we saw was that both of our cards were being charged! I called and called it is so hard to get through. 3 months they charged both of our cards. Finally I got through early on a Sunday morning. These people said that I did not ask for my card information to be removed is why they still had it but could not explain why both my card and my husbands card has been charged for the same service. I was livid. After being told there was no manager available I told her I'd wait and puff one was available. I asked him what explanation and customer service would he give me for stealing my money. All this mother joker kept saying was he apologized. And no there is not one above him. I said so what services can you provide me for free since you've stolen my money. He said some robotic bs. This company is out of the Philippines! Why do these people bring their business over here to rob us. Sling you will go out of business really quickly conducting business the way you do!

Answer: The ROKU rocks! Just avoid SLING TV at all costs. When they rip people off the FCC will not make them give you the money they owe you. The FCC just says We received your complaint and you should be hearing from SLING. What a joke! I am out $50.00, because SLING told me they were only taking major credit cards or the SLING cards. I purchased 2 $25.00 SLING cards to pay my $40.00 bill. The cards only come in $25.00 amounts. It would not take them. I called and called and got different CS agents. The cards would not go through. I got all kinds of reasons the cards were not working. I finally dropped SLING and went back to Spectrum. Something I vowed to never do. The day I called SLING to tell them I no longer wanted their service, and to tell them why I was unhappy the CS agent told me that the cards only work on the bill due date. Blah blah blah. I dontt know what happened with SLING. The service was great for a long time. Then they went to those stupid cards that would not work.
