My bed is less than 2 years old. It doesn't hold air. Not helpful to repair and not under warranty. Still have 2 years to pay for it. Don't buy a bed that you have to pay to repair every 2 years. There is nothing more disappointing. Don't make my mistake.

Don't Fall for It!
July 18, 2017

We thought this is new technology, this should last a long time. No! We have had this bed a little of 2 1/2 years and it has been nothing but aches and pains the whole time and getting worse! We tried to adjust our numbers, etc. A couple of nights ago I was ready to throw the bed out in the yard! The next day we inspected the bed and found that the bed "plastic" base is broken and sagging in the middle. Then we unzipped it to find the foam has a 15" tear in it, inside the zipper, mind you! I called today to ask for part of my money back, because personally, I don't want their bed. They would not go for that, but they are sending a new base and new foam (which is on backorder and we will probably never see). This is a ridiculous gimmic. From day 1, the salesman took advantage of us and the company is still doing so. DO NOT BUY ONE!

We have a pre2000 Select Comfort which is now in our guest room and a Sleep Number in our bedroom. We tried an expensive traditional mattress and moved the old bed to the guest room. Hated it. Gave those mattresses away and got the Sleep Number.

Terrible smell
April 7, 2023

The new mattress C4 had a terrible smell which lasted about 3 months. After 3 months we tried the mattress and couldn't return it since the trial period has expired.
I wouldn't suggest this brand for people with elevated sensitivity.

Sleeping on the couch
November 19, 2020

We purchased a sleepnumber bed about 18 months ago. Maybe a month ago I noticed my side of the bed was not holding air. Went through the troubleshooting recommended on the website without a resolution. Did a chat with a sleepnumber rep. $100 and 12 days to fix a leaking air chamber. In the mean time, I do not have a bed. You do not consider when you buy one of these things that it may "break" and leave you bedless for a month. I tried to repeat my dissatisfaction on the constant marketing posts that were thrown on my social media feeds after I visited the website. They called my attempts to get better service on a useless bed I paid $7200 for last year "spam" and blocked me. Don't fall for the gimmick, once you've purchased, they've got you trapped.

BUYER BEWARE
August 25, 2021

The day my new bed was delivered the bed went flat. They took our old bed away. Now iam sleeping on a mattress topper. They just keep telling you that they will send someone to check it out. But that never happens. Its the most I have ever for a mattress in my life. Iam a senior with a bad back. It's ashame how they rip off people.

I purchased a bed, didn't like it so I up-graded to better bed still was having the same issues. So I called to return the bed and was told it would cost 199.00 for them to pick it up or 129.00 for me to box and send it back, I'm sorry if I spend 2000. 00 for anything I should be able to return it for free..

Customer Service
January 26, 2023

I have called customer service to arrange for the removal of a sleep number bed. I explicitly told customer service I was not replacing the bed. I was quoted fees by one of the stores, I was quoted a price by customer service, I had to receive call backs as your were busy and when I was called back, I was disconnected. When i finally was able to talk to customer service, I was told the bed is only removed if I buy another one. Your poor reviews are warranted.

No Sleep
January 14, 2023

We purchased the top of the line climate 360 from Sleep number. After a two month wait the bed was delivered. It's been one thing after other. From connectivity problems to the mattress constantly losing air at random times. One of the major reasons we purchased this ridiculously expensive bed was for the cooling feature. The only problem is, it sounds like a jet plane taking off when you turn it on. I have not been able to use it, as no one can sleep with that kind of noise. It records our sleep as great when we aren't even sleeping in it. I gave it a good try but I finally gave up and I am sleeping elsewhere. My husband spends more time sleeping in his recliner than in the bed. We are in the process of try to get sleep number to address the problem. Save yourself the headache ( and the 10,000 bill) and buy a different bed.

Delivery
July 15, 2020

Ordered our sleep number bed July 3rd. Scheduled for delivery July 15. Received a call on July 15 at 0845, sleep number stating they are unable to deliver the bed today. This is after anticipation of the bed being delivered and following sleep number instructions. We were asked due to COVID to remove our old bed, bed was removed this am and taken to the dump. Now have to sleep on the floor for 2 weeks because our sleep number can not be delivered until July 31. After spending so much money on a bed, you would think their customer service was better!

As the owner of a sleep number mattress, I would never recommend it to anyone. There is a ridge in the middle because there are 2 air chambers. It is uncomfortable at any Number! If people sleep close together one has to sleep on the ridge. It is so uncomfortable I had to buy an additional mattress topper. For the amt, of money you can buy a quality brand name mattress.

I have called numerous times to get the zippered top replaced and each time I get a different quote on how much it would cost. I finally gave up and I will buy a decent bed from a different, more reliable company.

Functionality
February 3, 2023

The sleep number top of the line is a waste of money.
I wouldn't buy another one ever!
Plus the bs warranty depreciates over time so just a good marketing job for a crappy product. If the would have put the marketing money into RND might actually have a good product

Apparently their warranty is as follows for our bed: purchased before Mar. 29,2020: covered for 25 years,
0-2 years cost you nothing
3-20 is 20% plus 4% for each complete calendar year after the purchase date.

We spend $8000.00 for a M7 Sleep Number Bed. After 2 years the side foam where it connect to the top foam bed top as separated and so I contacted Sleep Number to schedule a repair / replacement of the faulty part. The lady I was speaking to said "I have heard of that failure and we have redesigned that part for that issue, we will send you out the new updated version. Does that sound okay? I said yes and then she said how would you like to pay for that? I asked why I would have to pay for it on a 2 year old bed? When we bought it they told us it was covered for 15 years and even had us buy a special bed mattress cover to make the warranty better. She said it's only covered for 1 year and then it's prorated at 65% then goes down by 5% every year there after. So that will be $480.00 to replace it. Its funny. If you go to the Sleep Number website, they have them for sale for $571.00? So seems like they overinflate the price and then get the consumer to pay for almost all of it and on a defective part that has been redesigned and should be free. This is my 3rd Sleep Number bed and my last one we had for 15 years with no foam issues. This will be my last Sleep Number bed unless they take care of this defective piece and make it right. Customer service goes a long way these days.

I was recently in a bad accident where I am now bed ridden for the next 2 months. My sleep number bed broke down. I have to have my head and feet elevated. The head elevation no longer works. I have called Sleep number Customer service repeatedly to no avail. They pass the buck to a company called Legatt and Platte that services the platforms. This company was even worse. I have talked with four supervisors at both companies, all of which were useless. Legatt and Platte told me they do not service Colorado yet Sleep Number sells their product here. All I got was runaround. Do Not Buy Sleep Number products! They are the absolute worst!

RIP OFF
October 3, 2012

You say you need a new bed but you don't want the usual ones, you want the better or best so what do you do, you go to Sleep Number beds and you find a bed that you like or love and spend big money between $5,000.00 and $7,000 and of course you want the warranty and you go home happy as a pig in (you know). Then one day you need service on this expensive bed only to find out that the parts are guaranteed but the labor is around $200.00. Your warranty starts from the day you buy it and not from the time you received the delivery. CHECK IT OUT. Would you really buy the bed now, I THINK NOT.

Delivery
November 15, 2022

The company delivered the bed without having the proper equipment. They sent in an order for the equipment and scheduled an appointment a week out. We received text messages and emails stating the day and time window. We scheduled out day around this window. The company in Austin decided to change that window wihout ANY notice prior to the day. Nobody was home as this WAS NOT the window scheduled. We suffered as they refused to make it right!

We spent $8.800 on our configuration and some problems which have been dealt with except one large ongoing $1.036 problem that has not worked since 2014. Despite six visits to the store, 4 calls to the support center the dual temp temp system has never worked and they have refused to send someone to fix it. We have asked for a refund of the $1,036 and Sleepnumber supervisors Trellis and others have refused to refund.the dual temp system since they never fixed it. If you expect Sleepnumber to honor their warranty then DO NOT BUT THEIR PRODUCTS.
