Skillshare is an easy to navigate platform filled with all manner of creative classes. The only issue I had (which was my own fault) was dealt with easily and patiently by one support staff member. I was lucky to get an introductory deal when I first signed up but when the next year rolled around, I was more than happy to pay the full price (which is super affordable) for all the great classes available.

We used skillshare.com in my previous organization as a counterpart
And aid to media marketing, specifically used to sharpen skills.
It provides in-depth tutorial, training, and reviews.
An influx of information and specialists/experts available to help.
Best part is that I don't have to be in a desk at work to use Skillshare.

Definitely one of the best, no actually, Skillshare is the best online creative learning platform out there. Love it! It's like being handed the keys to the candy kingdom. Pretty much all of my favourite designers teach on there and it's also a great way to show your work and interact with them.

Are you kidding me?!
October 29, 2018

Just look at all those comments! Rage everywhere. My story will sound very familiar..

I have created a trial account to check out some Illustrator tutorials, but was not convinced that I need a yearly subscription. Some time later my husband got me the subscription as a present, so I decided to keep the trial till it expires and switch to premium afterwards. NO EMAIL NOTIFICATION, nothing.. You have been charged. AWESOME! So I have contacted the support the same day, explaining that I already have a premium, I just need to use the code. No reply. I would really-really-really appreciate a refund.

Please, contact me. Best regards.

I hear you that I forgot to end my free trial, but I never got a email confirming thank you premium, or you will be a charged a premium.
Upon contacting you, you offered me a refund with a fee, which definitely is a rude gesture to customers for such a new company. This is not a physical product where you have to restock, or there were limited seats available that you are losing anything here.
I told you that I don't have much to make the full out of it, so just give me my money back, and moreover I didn't use any of the service, plus it's only two days yet!

Very Disappointed if I will be charged a fee more than.$99 because now you are offering three months premium for.$99

I hope you listen to your customers, and take a step in the right direction!

We have Skillshare. Part of the program will not work. We turned in three emails through the site page that is used to contact the company. I have sent two messages requesting the subscription be cancelled. The are still taking $19.95 from our account every month. Finally, we have cancelled the card they are charging. The bank is sending the complaint to the "Fraud" department. I'm not sure what their problem is, but the had better correct it soon.

I hoped this would not have come to this point, but Skillshare.com chooses not to answer or cancel the service. I love this credibility rating. My opinion is based on my personal experience with the company.

Just plain awesome
April 10, 2019

Initially, I was skeptical about starting a course at Skillshare. I did some research though and had two choices either Udemy or Skillshare. I chose the Skillshare. It just grew on me. From the first day I was in love with programming for android. I learnt a lot of things that I can use in my own projects.

Through a student deal, I received 3 months of premium membership for $0.99 and I enjoyed my time on the site. However, as a recent university graduate, the automatic $99 charge at the end of my trial has completely crippled me financially. I do recommend this site for its content, but the way the payment method is set up automatically is a scam.

Hello,

Just a simple Google search (only search Skillshare scam) will show you hundreds of people complaining that even if you cancel during the trial period, Skillshare will charge you and will not provide any refund. They don't even allow you to remove information about your credit card which is bizarre. I had to contact them after I cancelled my trial and had them withdraw my credit card information and delete my account after about 20 emails were sent back and forth, and eventually they did it.

After 4 days I see $120 charge on my credit card even though I don't have any account with them anymore! And they don't respond to any of my emails plus they don't have any phone number in their contact. It's also bizarre (and definitely intentional) that they don't send you confirmations when you cancel your trial period or even register with them.

Skillshare's best demographic is already-seasoned technology for professionals who are looking to improve their skills and train themselves to move up in job titles. There are competitors that are better suited for absolute beginners. While the content is excellent and presented in a manner significantly less boring than reading the documentation, it's still up to the user to ensure they comprehend the information.

Lots of courses from well-known college and universities, where you
Can have access to the material for next to nothing. Can take courses
With certificates fir cheaper than going to university.
Try an experimental course that doesn't cost money, you have to be
Self-motivated in order to complete the curriculum. Great to sample
Material before enrolling and paying for actual courses.
Taking courses in management to further my skills as well as other
Hobby courses and general knowledge.

Got charged for subscription even though I deleted my account. There is no way to opt out in my account on Skillshare, so I deleted my account thinking that once the free trial was over I would not get charged. Well, that didn't happen. I was able to stop auto billing in Paypal, but I didn't see a way to do that within Skillshare and they are not going to refund me even though I have no account after deleting it. A very negative experience and I would never recommend anyone sign up.

Fan of Skillshare
May 28, 2019

I personally enjoy the classes I did so far very much. There are so many classes for a reasonable annual fee from very talented and dedicated artists. I would recommend skillshare to anyone who is looking for going further in his art and learning new stuff.

I have been using Skillshare for over a year and I have found it an excellent resource for online art classes. A lot of my favorite designers and illustrators teach there, the variety of subjects is pretty staggering, and you always get feedback on your projects.

I learn a lot about web design from Skillshare courses. They are really simple and easy to understand. But I have also tried Code School, which is similar platform like Skillshare. I think best results can come from combining both of them. Code School also offers a month trial.

Before, I did like this site and what it had to offer. I was able to get a discounted free trial ONCE and that was years ago. Suddenly out of the blue my card has been charged and I only have $20 left to my name! The bank is closed and I haven't gotten a message back from the support team. I was randomly charged $96 for something I don't even use anymore! Please, someone just refund me or give me help, I have a medical appointment this week and I need this settled ASAP

Scam billing
August 27, 2018

I, as well as many others, have the same problem, after two months of free trial I was billed 99$ without notice. Funny thing is to be a Pro you pay only 15 a month. Now I am a proud member as they took 100$ from me which is a lot and I am not even Pro. Not sure why they taxed me that much, to just surf the basic tutorials alike a free trial member? Cancel your account now! It will save you serious headaches as their customer services is pure bs. They don't even have a phone number. Just a bs form to complain and request "help" for your issues. Never again am I gonna start a free trial with my "money card" nowhere because of this awful experience. SKILLSHARE ENJOY YOUR 100$. I am better of with youtube and I am dead serious!
