I signed up through YesTheory free giveaway for 2 months membership!
Then i got charged for 99 USD! I can not afford that! That's a lot of money for me!
They will not refund! Wont answer emails! I havent got any warning about my subscripton!
Their mails go to SPAM!
I can go on forever!
Horrible company policy! Doesnt matter what they teach or how! You can not run a business like this in 2018! Shame!

Thanks to this website and all the people who have posted!
I was offered that infamous 2 month free trial for AUD $1.27, i filled out all the fields, including the credit card details but I suddenly thought I should find a review about this skillshare organisation adn got a rude awakening reading the reviews!
So I quickly deleted all my information, did NOT send anything, and i have added all skillshare emails etc to my automatically send to the delete bin.
Thanks to all again. I am so glad I checked!

So I signed up, One day i found that my account was deactivated, and because of that i couldn't reset my password or anything which is completely stupid. And on top of that my automatic payments to them are still active.
You'd better off finding courses on sites like Udemy

Scam, Ripoff, Thieves
November 30, 2020

I paid for a membership a year ago for Skillshare, chose NOT to renew. They charged me a full year's membership charge for a second year without any notice or authorization. I've contacted them multiple times to get a refund (I caught the charge within 24 hours of their grifting little charge to my credit card), and I hear nothing, just get automated garbage emails saying they received the request. DO NOT EVER sign up for a free trial or a class or a membership with these scammers! The teachers are not competent, the classes are awful and unprofessional, and Skillshare is just taking money from both "teachers" and consumers.

Class Reviews
May 28, 2019

I like the detail of the new review system but it doesn't seem like the whole website experience is reflecting it. While my class is being reviewed, my class thumbnail doesn't reflect any of those reviews leaving an unreviewed perception for other students.

I didn't even know i had an account till i got a message on my phone saying i got charged 96USD by Skillshare. I send mails saying that i didn't know about this and asked for a refund but none is replying to me. I'm a broke university student and this amount of dollars in my Turkish currency is higher than my monthly rent. I regret it so much but i had no idea. I always saw the company on youtube and stuff and thought it was a decent company. I hope they respond to me give me a refund.

The programming courses are awesome, they push you to the limits
And make you go one step further. Also, they have really really good
Affordable membership and I would encourage anyone to take them.
The point is they are technical oriented, and we lack good technical
And specific education.
Don't overthink, this is the way to go. If I would be starting again, I
Will start here directly.
They have a lot of resources career oriented and a lot of best
Practices for a wide variety of ranges. Love them!

I already have an account but haven't used this site in a long time. So I wanted to take a look at what classes they currently have, but the site redirects me to 'checkout' and doesn't even let me look at what the site has. I can't even log out of my account so that I can take a look at what the site has to offer before being forced to give them money. No, skill share, I am NOT going to give you money before I am even allowed to see what classes you have. I don't see why the site blocks me out of seeing the site if I am logged in and why it doesn't even give me an option to log out. I kind of what to see what is being offered before paying over $160 a year or $30 a month.

I did not use skillshare for over a year and got billed for it even though I thought I already cancelled my subscription. I did not know about this until I checked my bank statement and saw the charge. I contacted them about this and they said they couldn't refund me because I contacted them too late. Terms and conditions said 7 days while I asked for it 9 days later. I did not receive any emails or was I contacted by them during this period with only the last emails being from July. Feels like I was scammed.

Awesome website
April 10, 2019

My desire is to be an entrepreneur with special specialty in motivation and Telecommunications networks account management. I am a natural salesman and I am looking for a mentor to help me throttle to the next level of success and self-actualization. I am an avid sales consultant and a great communicator. I love been of service to humanity and it's the high time I meet world-renowned selfmade God fearing and successful mentor. I am recovering alcoholic who spent 6 months in rehabilitation because of identity crisis. I love writing and reading and making a difference in somebody else's life. I need to shift gears and blend with a person who understands and has almost a similar experience. But has finally made it to the top of the food chain. I am smart, astute and go-getter. I am passionate about life and naturally intelligent.

I have been using SkillsShare for 6 months now, specifically for learning and improving creative writing skills, and I am very impressed. The quality and value of the course material and teaching is very good. The overall value of the site is also very good. I would like to see some improvements in the UI, navigation and discovery, but overall I still give it five stars.

They have some amazing classes on the platform, but be aware with the payment as they have extremely shadey billing practices. In my experience, even though I signed up with a coupon for a 2 MONTHS FREE subscription, they withdrawn the money from my account straight away (of course, I've never authorised any transaction).
After I wrote them about the problem they refused to give back my money and offered to recommend me some interesting courses "to make the most of Skillshare during the rest of your paid month". Shameful.

Great Place to Learn
April 10, 2019

The best thing about SkillShare is the interface. It is very easy to use
And helps the learning process.
Make sure you that when you are using SkillShare, you finish all the
Videos in time. Do not procrastinate otherwise you will fall behind
And forget stuff.
I am using SkillShare to teach fellow employees about data analytics.
The benefits of using SkillShare are that there is already a system in
Place with all the materials and that the interface is easy to use and
Understand.

Each one, Teach one, was the mantra used in my medical training years ago and basically it meant that everyone has something to teach and everyone has something to learn. This company skillshare.com has taken that concept and is allowing everyone to become a teacher and a student. There have been other websites and companies with similar ideas throughout the years, but this one seems to have hit a home run with their efforts and understands how to motivate people to become either a teacher or a student. Now, I just need to decide if I want to learn to become a bartender or play Settlers of Catan first...

I was curious and Skillshare had a 2 months free trial offer... I signed up to see what it was all about. Took the very basic HTML/CSS course (refresher for someone out of it for a long time) & found it very effective for me

Horrible with no heart
December 11, 2019

Horrible money grabbers harassing the trainers who steal the money of hard working trainer and bloody students who expect everything from trainers. Skillshare is horrible. Evil is respected and good are abused to the core. Skillshare is a trash. Lets trash it.

They charged me the premium membership for one year (99USD) even though I have canceled it! And when I asked for refund, they just refused because they said I asked for refund after 7 days after charging! I would not know they charged me even I canceled my membership until I checked my credit card bill! So I think this is a trap and their business is insincere and very sneaky!

I like the content variety available on the site for learning and skill development. There's courses from everything including Microsoft Server and SQL to technologies like Citrix and the deployment practices to be successful there. Right now I'm particularly happy with the Citrix deployment courses - there's tons of great content and the instructors who record it are passionate and interesting.
