Skillshare has a huge collection of educational material that is
Accessible in a very interactive manner.
It has a large library of course material and training videos.
Some of the content for fast evolving technologies should be updated
Quicker in my opinion.
I had also been charged with 99USD for annual subscription. I sent them email requesting refund, they turned out very responsive. I just get my money back in my bank account. For customer support care I am giving them 5 stars.
Thank you Skillshare.
Nov 16: Today I received an email that I will be refunded in next 10 business days.
Nov 15: I sign up for free trail and forget to remove my bank details. Yesterday, I received notification from my bank that I've been charged 100USD for annual subscription. I never opted to this plan. Please I want refund. I am a student and simply can't afford this at all.
Did anyone get refund?
Thanks.
To anyone who were ranting about the annual charge, It's your own $#*!ing fault that you can't remember their billing dates. It's your own responsibility that you should remember it! Even Netflix won't tell you that they will be charging you for the following months!
As for the actual product review, I found many nice classes and teachers that I couldn't find elsewhere with a reasonable price. The interfaces are easy to navigate. I think I will be here for a long time.
I love that courses have very credible material sources. For example, I
Took the android course and all of the instructors were actual Google
Employees.
I am mainly solving personal agendas when utilizing SkillShare. I
Want to level up my skills at my own speed through online courses.
The price, the flexibility, and the expert staff makes SkillShare a "nobrainer" for me.
So i have been trying to cancel since I started the trial, just because it didn't have anything that I really wanted. At no point did it acknowledge that I had a premium membership, so I couldn't cancel. Customer service does not respond to emails, and the only number says, "hi you have reached skillshare the best way to reach us is via email, um thanks." (I had to hunt on a different site for that number too.Red flag). Any way, I get charged $99, after numerous emails asking them to cancel my trial, and now I wait. The only response I have ever gotten from them has been them saying they are escalating my issue to a senior team, They have useful things on their site, but the it's not worth it if this happens!
Try to come up with a learning plan that best suits your long-term goals. There is a lot of information, and it's easy to get distracted by nice to have knowledge. That being said, I always try to have one additional interest area that I maintain by completing SkillShare lessons.
I have a class on Skillshare.
My class was fine until I contacted Skillshare when they didn't pay me for the first month. They didnt provide a good customer service experience, and I expressed my frustration with this and asked to speak with a supervisor.
Skillshare didnt let me speak with a supervisor, but then I found my class was being removed art the end of the month.
There have never been any problems with my class or anything before, but now Skillshare are removing it, just because I asked to speak with a supervisor about their customer service.
I still haven't been able to speak with a supervisor, every request I made was denied.
So not only are they now removing my course, but all of my students will no longer be able to finish the course.
So their temper tantrum is affecting hundreds of their users too.
I actually want this fully investigated and find out who is responsible for this, or im actually going to seek legal action as im sure there are grounds for a legal case here.
I hope you will take this matter seriously. I will be logging all emails and all communication.
The diversity of courses and designing skills provided and the way
They are provided. Skillshare.com has a great team of teachers! Also,
The project based designing help you dive into the subject.
Go for it! It'll be very valuable when looking for new professional
Opportunities.
I learn a lot of new skills, especially by completing one of SkillShare's
Designing.
The teachers set you up for success by showing you the process. The
Comprehensive approach to software development is excellent.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone learning software
Development.
The benefit to beginners is that it assumes no knowledge of ios or
Swift and the benefit to more experienced developers is getting to see
How other experienced developers tackle certain problems and
Design decisions.
I have enjoyed my subscription and have referred many others to one. I have been going through a crazy time right now and still watch for classes but have not been able to complete one for several months. It is a tremendous value for the price and I don't feel like I'm wasting money when I cannot do anything for half a year.
I signed up to Skillshare for the free trial. All of the tutorials looked very bland and basic, the kind of thing you could find on youtube for free. I wasn't interested at all. I forgot to unsubscribe to the service and since then they've been charging me £84.00 a year. They did this twice until I noticed a few days ago. They only agreed to send me the last payment and not the first one. I want ALL of my money back. I never watched a single one of their videos! If I had automatically been assigned a monthly plan the impact would not have been so devastating and I would have been able to notice sooner but they took all of this money at once which really hurts me, I think they assign the annual plan for this reason. Skillshare, give me back my £168.00!
The varied set of courses are a bliss for a computer science fanatic
Like me. I have learn a lot more at skillshare than at college. Their
Courses are really worth it if you believe you can work hard.
For computer science courses it is really good. You will learn a lot
About real world problems and how to solve a problem with a
Language/framework/ tool.
I'm a student and have found skillshare.com great to learn about app
And web development. The quality of courses are also great since
They are being taught by the best in the industry
Vast amount of courses available, easy videos to follow as well as follow up tutorials and quizzes to test what you have been learning about. Video tutorials are great for on the go, if you just want to listen to someone teaching you, rather than actually participating in the tasks, then there's the option for this, as well as learning as someone goes along with teaching you the subject.
Using SkillShare for 3 months. First 2 months were free trail and i liked there free trail. That's why i subscribe for the paid version and I'm not disappointed with this decision of mine. Study material is of very high quality and very interactive easy to understand.
Skillshare is a nice platform to learn on. I really appreciate the variety of topics covered. Personally, I am equally interested in art and technology and I had a nice surprise when I discovered programming courses as well, I did not expect to find such courses here.
As an online community, I like the way how Skillshare differentiates itself from other educational online courses is mainly due to the fact that you can critique other peoples' work with constructive feedback, and what can be improved. Other online courses only attempt to teach you technical skills; hardly, anybody gives you feedback online.
I love to look through all the relevant courses for a skill by reviewing the detailed table of contents for each course. This helps me determine which specific modules of a course I want to listen to. I may listen to an entire course or just the portions I need help on. It's often good to hear two different instructors present the same concept to ensure I understand it thoroughly.
Skillshare is an awesome online learning community and it's one of my favorite places on the internet. I've had wonderful experiences with the staff. And I love the platform, the passionate teachers, and the eager community of learners! I've learned so many useful skills from the classes and have found a community of people who share the same interests as me. Learning is fun with Skillshare.
Using innovative teaching methods, uversity courses are designed to help students learn from anywhere in the world. Much of the coursework is free to use, and students earn a certificate when they complete a course.
