Be very careful. You don't receive any discounts on renewal. My hosting price went from $7.45 per month to almost $30.00 per month! As a small business, an increase of over 300% in price is not something that my budget can handle. If I did the same in my business with my prices, I'd be out of business.
I was going to give 2 stars due to not having issues in the 2 years I was with Siteground. However reading the insincere replies from them to the many other customers who have the same issue left me needing to change to a 1 star. Jumping up prices like that was deceptive (as much as they say they are being transparent with their prices).
Getting you in on a 'too good to be true' promotional price to have you do the hard work and move over to be stung by the "regular" price as soon as it renews.
Luckily I cancelled renewal before this happened. I asked them if there was anything that could be done and the price offered was still double what I can pay in my local area.
I'd suggest going elsewhere. I can get a local hosting company to host for less than half the cost.

Oh my gosh... I was struggling with a site issue for a couple of hours. Dropped a ticket to SiteGround support and the error was resolved in less than 2 minutes. Wow!
I have been using siteground for 6 years and never had an issue with customer support. They are super knowledgeable and assisted me every time under an hour.

I have had SO MANY different hosting companies. Had the cheapest (and yes that turned out to be in quality as well) and the MOST expensive due to client needs. Siteground has been GREAT! Their has never been anything that the Customer Service team has not been able to resolve. Granted in some cases it took time but as long as there is a resolution and communication - that is easy peasy.
Never got a Wordpress white screen (autoupdate and the like has protected me) Now with them for 5 years and no complaints.
Wordpress issues are interesting and some you have to blame the plugin developers not the hosting company. When you know that the hosting company simply provides the DB and the space to host it then you gotta separate the parts to the right responsible party.
My problem was basically because of my own stupidity!
I thought I should contact the support and go grab some tea and YET the moment I pressed that "Send" button someone had already got my back!
This is the first time I have experience such speed, so I've got to say I am quite MOVED: D

I have reluctantly upgraded early to cloud hosting at much more money, but I did this because I am super satisfied with their support, and I rarely say that about any company.

The inode usage consists of the total number of files and folders present on your hosting account and the quotas are listed in the plan comparison sales page, in the “Server Resources” section. Whenever clients reach the plan inode quota, they can either delete any unnecessary files from the hosting plan, thus decreasing the usage, or upgrade to a higher plan. You may want to review and delete old email messages, old website pages in order to decrease the number of files/inodes and eventually downgrade your plan.

Despite the fact that my mistakes were self-inflicted and that I made those mistakes in order to avoid paying the higher price - he did not make me feel like an idiot. He quickly fixed my issue so that I could go ahead and renew for 36 months.
Why did I decide to renew Siteground despite the increased cost? I have been with Siteground for two years now. In that time I have not had any issues with them or their service. After carefully looking over all of the options available and considering all factors, including reliability, ease of use, customer service, features, etc... Siteground is one of the best hosting services I have ever had. It sucks to have to shell out a lump sum for a new or fairly new business but it's so important to remember that you get what you pay for. And if you consider Siteground's track record, that still comes at a reduced cost when comparing all factors against other hosting companies. Honestly, if you're serious about your business, I highly recommend Siteground. I won't think twice when having to renew again three years from now.
I have been a happy Siteground customer since 2016, and was VERY surprised (not to say annoyed) to learn today that a hosting plan is required to access DNS management services. This is true even if you don't actually host with them, and use them only as a domain registrar.
There is LITERALLY NO WAY to contact this provider unless and until you pay for hosting...even if you have other products with them. Very poor form to make customer service an upsell embedded in a services some customers have no need for.
Some basic level of service should be available to EVERY paying customer, and if they want people to pay for additonal customer support, then allow them to pay JUST for that. Don't embed it in hosting they may neither need nor want.

The domain can also be managed on its own if you no longer require hosting. Users have complete control over their domain admin details, privacy settings, billing information, and also name servers, so they may point them to an active hosting account/DNS management tool at any time if needed (this does not have to be with SiteGround). In such scenarios, we do not impose any restrictions or limitations, and users are free to connect their SiteGround-registered domain to another host or even a free third-party DNS provider by simply entering their name server records.

For any domain-related questions, you would need to visit the Help Center page in your Client Area and select "Domain" from the list of categories.
