Terrible phone manner!

We're not even with Site Dudes but they called our office with a telemarketing call this morning. Our summer student receptionist was very professional with them, took their name and number and said goodbye and 30 seconds later they called back and actually YELLED at her for hanging up on them. They asked her if that's the way we treat everyone who wants to do business with us. They then hung up on her... luckily as it turns out because I would have ripped a strip off of them. If that's their professionalism, I'll stay a million miles away from them!

Tried these guys several years ago, it was a horrible experience. Their communication and set up was bad, customer service was bad, and the site they build generated no business at all. Now years later after I fired them they desperately try sending me a bill or collection notice by email. That's just how pathetic this company is. Highly recommend not wasting your money on these guys and their terribly and disappointing product.

I have around 20 domains registered with hosting dude for many years. They had a discount code for renewals. When I realized I didn't get the discount which was nominal, I contacted them and they did not honor it. I will be transferring all my domain names elsewhere.

Over charges US companies
February 10, 2016

SiteDudes has always made its money off monthly maintenance fees, but now that US dollar is so much stronger then the Canadian dollar, they are making a fortune. My $80 US is $111 Can. That's an extra $31 dollars. Ripping off US customers is bad business.

Site Dudes solved all issues with billing in satisfactory time period. Here's how they did it. They did not get site up on time and still billed my company. Sitedudes still demanded money, I said cancel the site as it was not ready on time. They harassed me for money and only agreed to stop it I wrote favorable for them. I do not recommend Site Dudes.
I do thanks Megan for your speedy conclusion once review was written, I just don't believe this company has honourable reviews

It was a pleasure working with SiteDudes to get our website modernized. They responded quickly with changes and corrections and attended to every detail. If you're looking to create or update a website, I would recommend giving these guys a call, you won't be disappointed.

I was afraid to try to set my own site so I went through site dudes for years. The people there are helpful and friendly but the site was very marginal looking. I felt quite disconnected from it and could have done updates whenever but didn't bother. Recently was trying to cut back on costs and looked into vistaprint. For less than half the cost you can set up your own site. You have to provide all the info you want to site dudes anyway- why not just do it yourself. Vistaprint offers all the help you need.

I was called and promised a site that would get a lot of hits. I paid $40 per month and after i year After getting no hits at all, I cancelled my pre authorized payments. When i signed up they told me i could cancel at any time. They have been harassing me with FDR collections every day for at least a year. I paid them $600 for nothing and they want another $240 or the harassing continues.

I recommend anyone that is looking for a custom website to give them a call. They were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. The design team are very knowledgeable, and with their experience were able to create the website beyond what i imagined.

This company is absolutely awful and so is the customer service is atrocious. To top it off to there services are awful as well. Go look at all the reviews that are 5 star. They are not real lol. The only company they have reviewed is sitedudes.

Please please save your money and don't waste it on this atrocious company.

ALSO, Chad is the biggest idiot you will ever talk to. You wonder how the hell he is in computer design. This guy is literally like talking to a wall.

We have been with Site Dudes for over 5 years, we use all their services in regards to Live Chat, Hosting and maintenance. Their customer service and especially Chad have always been attentive and there for us when we have needed anything. When it came to updating our site I looked nowhere else since I have dealt with other web developers and hosts and let me tell you they charge an tone of money and take forever to do anything, Site Dudes have always been reasonably priced and on time. These guys know their stuff, I would highly recommend them for any of your website needs.

So happy

I have a small spa service and I really wanted to portray a professional boutique feel for my business. I didnt really know how to go about it. The rep I spoke to initially showed me examples and helped me choose my pages and gave me some advice on what to add to my booking form. My website did take a bit of time to complete but that's because I was so indecisive. The staff there was very patient with me and now my website is beautiful. I love it. I update it regularly with them. They showed me how to do my own updates but I usually just send them my updates and that's my favourite part about their service. Thanks so much.

Stay away from these guys, they use garbage templates and you dont even own your own code or URL, they hold it hostage and ask for more money to release the URL that you paid for. They keep it in there name. Not the consumer who is actually paying for it

Great service

Site Dudes is a very easy way to get your website up and running, and not have to worry about it. Updates to the site are quick and easy, and done via email. The web folks apply updates very quickly and any change the service is done with ease. Very helpful staff with a quick response time. A no brainer service in my books. They offer the stress of not having to worry about our website. Very pleasant and friendly company to deal with. Thanks Site Dudes!

Scammer/Rip off

I was told I'm paying for a website with unlimited upgrades and hosting for $50 a month and they told me the website initial fee of $500 was for a service and not a website. So therefore they own my website which is part owner of my company. Why would I make site dudes a part of my company. This is ridiculous and then there manager offer me 3 options that benefits him, not me and wants me to go for it. I wouldn't recommend anyone to deal with this company and if you want to hear from me personally call me at *******613.

Hi Nakim, you spoke to customer service and were rude and disrespectful. You spoke to a manager after requesting one who gave you many options to solve the issues you complained about and you were rude and difficult. I would never act that way with any company and expect to be threated with respect. You need to reflect on your words and actions today and change how you communicate with people and businesses in general going forward. I do not believe any company should have to service clients such as yourself.

I used Site Dudes but recently switched to A&O Systems Group. They did a complete revamp of my site for just under a grand and a small monthly to maintain the site, features and hosting service. The difference now is that I am getting calls from customers and form email submissions, whereas with Site Dudes I never did. So you really do get what you pay for. Site Dudes sites do look nice, though. But don't judge a book by its cover, as they say.

I took a 2 weekend workshop to make a website, it was too much information and came home forgetting everything. Then 2 different outfits made me a web site that I hated. So I contacted Wix and asked them if they could make me a web site they never responded. Site Dudes phoned, I was sceptical but the price was right. They made the web site in about 5 days and I was pleasantly surprised, it was 100% what I wanted. The people seem young and very up beat and responded immediately whenever I had a concern or question. Mark, Simon, Sean and the the help line were very professional and friendly. I would totally recommend them they're awesome.
