They Demanded immediate payment for services. Overcharged me 3x the cost. It's been over 2 mos with no refund yet. What kind of business practice is this?
Everyone is "spot on" with their reviews. Should be a.5 gratis at best. Called to schedule and imaging appointment. During the conversation, I asked the scheduler if it is common to take 2 hours to get an Xray because that's how long it took on my last (first) visit to SimonMed. She asked if I made an appointment for it. I said Xrays are walk-in only. She actually started arguing with me that you can schedule Xrays. Next thing I know, the phone went dead. Said hello several times and no answer. She actually hung up on me. Received an email shortly after for my ultrasound a month later. Had my Primary Care doctor switch me over to Desert Radiology which is where I had always been going. Their service is sickening Simon. Majority of the review ratings are spot on. It's the worst customer service I have ever seen!
I went for my yearly mammogram at the Queen Creek Simon Med a month ago. I had an additional issue so I was told to reschedule, which I did there, and they said they would get an order for the additional testing from my primary physician. One month later, at my appointment, they have no order. During the month I received uncountable texts and emails regarding the appointment. I filled out all paperwork online. Not once, did I receive any notice that they did not have an order. They were able to contact my primary by phone who was willingly to provide a verbal order, but, by that time, the testing person was gone. Result…I have to reschedule, yet again. I tried to get in touch with the facility manager to no avail. Terrible situation and I would not recommend this facility to anyone.
It is impossible to schedule an appointment online for anything slightly unusual, it is nearly impossible to complete your paperwork online (which is okay because they usually can't find it even if you do manage), they are always at least an hour late for any appointment, and the front desk staff simply does not understand basic patient privacy rules.
Excellent customer service, very nice attention at SimonMed on 208 west Oak st Kissimmee Florida, Excellent Tim work, and We need more employees than Vanessa G at the front desk, thanks SimonMed
AWFUL! We had an appt scheduled for an MRI w & w/o contrast, after we arrived we were told no one was available to do contrast so the clerk sent us to another location that did not have the machine the doctor wanted to be used. We booked another appt and received a phone call the morning of telling us they did not have a tech who could do contrast. Schedule another appt at a different location and when we arrived we were told they didn't have a tech who could do contrast. WHY SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE PERSONNEL WHO CAN PERFORM THE TEST? WHAT A JOKE. Save yourself the time, money (1/2 a tank of gas), and aggravation and use another company. These people are hopeless.
I don't even know where to begin! SimonMed is a nightmare medical practice! Their billing practices are atrocious, lazy, and unethical, and that's not even their worst problem! They flat out lie to their patients about so many things. They do not return calls, make it impossible to talk to supervisors, make promises they can't keep, and cancel appointments all of the time because of their failures to operate properly. There is absolutely no follow through on anything! They can't be trusted and should be shut down!
I paid amount they said I owed at time of procedure, and then insurance showed only a copay was due. Its been 6 months since the imagining, and 4 since I contacted them about the $175 I over paid. They just give me the run around and change their stories. I have yet to be able to get my money back they owe me. I will not be returning to them due to the problem I am having. Make sure you don't overpay for a procedure if you go there.
I overpaid for an MRI in April. This is July and I just called to find out where my $215 was. I was told it will be another 30-45 days. This is complete rubbish. Why can't I get my $ back. Please don't go here. This company won't do your scan without paying upfront. Use Banner Imaging or Smiles. Simon Med has been such a nightmare.
They have multiple offices in the Phoenix area and probably 1% do x-rays so at that 1% you have to wait for hours to get an x-ray. Ridiculous that this company is still in business.
I have been waiting for a 3 o'clock appointment It is now 4.30. They keep saying I'm
Next. Just feel
Like walking out.
I left a Google review stated that one of the technicians was culturally insensitive about my hair piece( he stated it look like a mop) never seen a black mop before so you know where this going. Well today I received a call from the regional manager or whatever her title is. She stated that she spoke with the both technicians to see what occurred. Of course he lied and said he didn't say that it look like a mop however, he stated he said the other technician through it like a mop. Which I think is weird because I didn't see him until after all three of my MRI's were done. Anyway the young lady stated that he has worked there for 25 years and is a great tech. Needless to say she believed them and well I will not go back again due to the racist comment made. She apologized but never said the tech apologize. I would not recommend this place. It was very offensive as I my hair piece is the same texture of my hair, so it is obvious that he believe black people with texture hair look like a mop. He can say what he wants to say but I know what I heard. It was racist and I will not recommend this place and will not return. I know his name but I will not mention it in this post.
Differently the worst Medical company you would use for Imaging.
Tte reason for this review is to make you aware of the total incompetence of the people who work there as trying to schedule appointments is nearly impossible as for example it took 8 phone calls as the call center either cuts you off or hang up on on you as the don't know how to transfer to the proper department.
Poor customer service and rude rudeness is what I received.
In conclusion I would never recommend this company for medical imaging,

Two MRIs; one was 1:20 late, the other an hour. The first is more than a month ago.
Neither has yet sent results to my doctor.
The first has yet sent bill to my insurance company.
Spent more than an hour trying to get the first one sent; have failed to even have the company *find* the exam.
Because of the first one, I asked
Every
Single
Step
Of the way to have the results faxed to my doctor.
Still failed.
I had a CT scan done and requested Self Pay the morning of the appointment at check-in and also in the online paperwork completed the previous day. The Self pay is $175. I was instead charged $272.63 which I am guessing is the deductible for my BCBS. I have called numerous times to have this corrected and am given a different explanation every time! I have done a dispute with my credit card company for the $96.73 overcharge as a last resort.
Ridiculous billing practice!
I walked in filled out the forms for my mri
They called me in immediately, I was very impressed fast and friendly, waited about 8 business days for results. The dr spent a good half hour on the phone explaining my results in detail not rushed at all. I'm very happy and would refer. I'm from Canada
How they actually paid someone to install this new bill pay system should be a corporate example of "DO NOT EVER HIRE THIS COMPANY AND USE THIS SYSTEM "
If you go online to pay they ask for your the provider number but nowhere on the bill is a provider number so then you wait almost an hour to talk to someone who doesn't have the provider number either and then they transfer you to someone who can't input the actual dollar amount of the bill so if you want you can OVER PAY after all this wasted time and aggravation!
They need to have all executives come in and try and pay a bill to see how useless this system is … and live chat is equally useless as they just refer you to the website and the phone number
I feel bad for the poor customer service people that answer the phone because it's not their fault some complete idiot approved this new system.
They need to be compensated from the executives that signed off on this useless system of bill paying for having to listen to customers like myself that just want to pay their bill
My first appointment I had to reschedule. I only wanted to do the CTA portion of my script and not the calcium scoring, as my insurance didn't cover the latter, but the office made me get a new script.
Additionally, they told me I had to take beta blockers and the protocol was for 3 which is way more than other reputable imaging centers in Tampa. Additionally, I was on asthma medication which scientific research published in medical journals states should only be given under supervision. I tried to call the morning of my appointment for guidance but the cardiac team was unavailable as it is located in Arizona (2 hour time difference from Tampa).
Additionally, I showed up a little early to take the pill on site but was told it would take an hour to be effective although medical journals states it will become effective in 30 min and peak in 90. In the end, I waited an hour to be seen. This protocol is cookie cutter and doesn't take into account the individual's situation. My pulse which runs low because I've been athletic/active all my life was within the acceptable range without the beta blockers. No one ever asked my pulse history or if I was on asthma meds.
Then in prep for the exam, the tech could not get the catheter in either arm and had collapsed the veins so that someone else had to be brought in to do it. I've had MRIs with contrast and CTs done throughout my life and never had this problem. During the exam when the iodine was released, it caused an infiltration event. I was crying from the pain. The tech did not realize at first as she kept telling me to bring my arm down but I couldn't move it. When she realized what happened, she couldn't find heat compresses at first as the room was not stocked with them. Then, she couldn't get a hold of a doctor to examine me. In the end, I had a telephone consult where the PA told me if it got worse to go to the ER. I had swelling the size of a golf ball on my arm, excruciating pain, and within an hour started to have a splitting headache and began to run a fever. I have bruising on the arm as well.
I took a photo of my arm but for privacy purposes will not post it.
I will not be returning back to this facility.
Beware! They billed my insurance company and the insurance paid. Then they created a second bill for the same date of service and same exact service and are billing me showing a totally different "total" amount billable then they sent to my insurance company. My service was completely covered by insurance but now they say I owe over $500 and after 12 calls can't get the issue resolved.
I went there to get a basic chest x-ray for a volunteer visa that I'm applying for. The person behind the counter, who would have been helping me was named George. He was incredibly rude. When he finished assisting the person that was at the counter, and they walked away. He started working on his computer. He never greeted me. He never acknowledged me he never looked up. This went on for over five minutes of me, standing there with not so much is a greeting or even telling me that he would be with me in a moment. When I finally walked up to the counter where he was at. He looked at me rudely and asked me if I had some type of issue or problem. Long story short, he was incredibly rude, and even though I stood at the counter, with my hands crossed on my purse he accused me of intimidating him when I walked up to the counter. When I asked for his supervisors name for the manager name, he said he was the manager, and didn't offer to give me information for anyone else. I could talk to above him. He claimed that he would take my information and pass it to his supervisor, but that he didn't have any contact information for his supervisor. He didn't offer to give me the information for the corporate office either. I would not recommend this location. The gentleman behind the counter George was incredibly rude, condescending patronizing. The most bizarre part of all was after this encounter he claimed that somehow he was a victim that I had done something to intimidate him because I walked up to the counter and asked him to acknowledge me as a customer. Somehow by me doing this, according to him, he was victimized. He also claimed that the very active me just standing at the counter was intimidating him and I was also entering into his personal workspace. That's actually a direct quote from him my standing at the counter is entering into his personal workspace. Like I said, it was the most bizarre experience I've ever had. I do not recommend Simon med men imaging to anyone find someone else go to their competitors.
Answer: SimonMed is NOT a scam - but it is far from a legit company. They take advantage of customers and hope you don't notice or ask questions.
