I get a call from SimonMed that I need this appointment so I schedule. When I get to the appointment they say I need the form from the doctor that requested this and the dr office say they faxed it.
Waited over two hours from my appointment time. Second time I tried them. Nice enough employees but very poor scheduling. Avoid this place if you can. Go elsewhere.
If you don't want your good credit to be put at risk AVOID Simon Med! I just got a notice from a collection agency for a bill I had never received. I called Simon Med and dicovered they had sent 4 bills to a Phoenix address I left over15 years ago! As papers asking for an address as well as other information have to be filled in each visit there was NO excuse for this. And as the imaging took place in Prescott where I now live, common sense alone should have made it obvious my address was no longer 90 miles away. There is no way I will ever go back to Simon Med and their utterly incompetant billing department. If you value your credit and good name AVOID!
My experience with SimonMed Imaging has not been good in any way. I was scheduled to have an MRI at the Scottsdale location with sedation. I requested that my wife be present up to the point the exam took place. The tech would not let her go with me which in this case further delayed the process as I was going nowhere near that machine before being sedated. I repeatedly asked for my wife to be present and was denied. I requested a restroom break and was taken down several halls and told by the tech she would be right outside waiting. I exited the restroom and there was no one anywhere looking down any hall. I was lost! Finally, I saw a man and told him I was looking for the tech and he helped me find her back in the MRI room! After this big corporation experience of poor communication and insensitive and indifferent staff, I would not return here. The experience only heightened my anxiety and frustration over what should have been an experience conducted by caring individuals. That is not how this experience was handled.
My Doctor has now requested a CT scan so I made the appointment. I select the text link & fill out the forms. Then I receive phone calls that I need to make an appointment! I said I already made the appointment when I received the text request. The representative acted as if I never made an appointment even though it was showing online. Then he said he found the appointment for the wrong test. Now I had filled out all of the forms online already, but he proceeded to ask all of the same questions I already answered. It appears there is a clear lack of communication within this organization. In addition, the phone representative did not listen to what I told him. Clearly English was not his first language but that should not inhibit him from listening to me! I am not impressed with another contact with SimonMed Imaging. I will request options from the Doctor in the future. It feels like we are just a number that adds money to the big corporate bottom line!
They have multiple offices in the Phoenix area and probably 1% do x-rays so at that 1% you have to wait for hours to get an x-ray. Ridiculous that this company is still in business.
Called after a month of test to get results and was informed I needed to travel to their office to receive results. Last several years I received results in about two weeks. They are getting worse.
AWFUL! We had an appt scheduled for an MRI w & w/o contrast, after we arrived we were told no one was available to do contrast so the clerk sent us to another location that did not have the machine the doctor wanted to be used. We booked another appt and received a phone call the morning of telling us they did not have a tech who could do contrast. Schedule another appt at a different location and when we arrived we were told they didn't have a tech who could do contrast. WHY SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE PERSONNEL WHO CAN PERFORM THE TEST? WHAT A JOKE. Save yourself the time, money (1/2 a tank of gas), and aggravation and use another company. These people are hopeless.
I am a cash pay patient and they knew at both appointments. I had a mammogram and ultrasound done on both breasts in February 2022. I was charged 95$ (s/a) in office, and was told to follow up in six months. I did so in September 2022, per SimonMed I was only needing the ultrasound on both breasts. In office I was charged 172.56$(s/a). When I called the automated voice states the accounts remaining balance was 709.44$(s/a), I was shocked. How is it costing me eight times what it costed me six months ago? I then spoke with a representative, she was not able to tell me why it was costing so much when i only had the ultrasound with no mammogram. However she was able to give me a cash pay discount of 70% off, making the bill 212$(s/a). The full total now being 385$. Had I been made aware at the time that it would cost that much, I would of never of scheduled the testing. I am on a fixed income and am only able to pay 10$ a month and have been since November 2022. They just sent a letter stating that the 10$(s/a) a month is not enough. I will never have any testing done with SimonMed ever again, very disappointed. I wouldn't even leave a star but in order to post I had to.
They Demanded immediate payment for services. Overcharged me 3x the cost. It's been over 2 mos with no refund yet. What kind of business practice is this?
I went to the office in ocoee Simon Meds I meet a beautiful lady name Daniela Rodriguez she is a very pleasant lady she checked me in with no problems shared some Encouraging words as soon as I Sat down not even 5 minuets my name was called Wow I was shock I tell no long wait I was in and out of this place and Daniela Rodriguez lights up this place I pray that GOD will Bless all the staff JESUS supply for all of there needs According to his Riches and Glory AmenThankyou
I called at the *******8555 and I got and appointment for a diagnostic mammogram on Monday 30 at 8:00. When I arrived at the Chandler office, the front desk assistant told me my appointment was cancel because they do not do that type of mammogram until 8:30am and they did not have space to schedule me. I was angry, but I called back and asked for new appointment, the person give a new appointment at 9:00am at Mesa office. Again when I arrived there before 8:30am, they told me that it was cancel again! This time because it suppose to be an ultrasound and of course they have no appointments even though I scheduled the appointment 15 days before. I called again, and the person who help me gave a new appointment on Thrusday16 at 8:30am in the office at Phoenix. 2 hours later, I received a text message which that appointment was cancel,so called back again. When I called, they tell me that I need a mammogram and ultrasound! Both? So, I need 2 appointment same day, so they need to be there at 8:30 and 3:30. Will I have the test on Thursday? I am not sure yet because the company have a problem of coordination. That is A MANAGEMENT problem not employee problem. After a month a could not get the test
I visit Simon Meds Sept. 2022 West Colonial Dr. Orlando, FL to take a MRI. DONOT go THERE. There MRI MACHINE is OUT DATED
The Machine is VERY LOUD They will give you these Little EAR PLUGS That DOES NOT HELP LOWER the Noise! When I left my HEARING was Distraught. Their Tech told me that the MRI Machine DOESNOT come any WIDER to put HeadPhone on. He's a LIAR OCOEE Images and NCI Images have a MRI Machine. The Tech gives you HeadPhones with Music if you Perfer which TONE DOWN the Noise. ALSO Their CALL CENTER DOES NOT Communicate with Simon Meds. They will give you a date and Time on the Phone but they Do Not forward the TIME to Simon.
JUST GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, Please.
Excellent customer service, very nice attention at SimonMed on 208 west Oak st Kissimmee Florida, Excellent Tim work, and We need more employees than Vanessa G at the front desk, thanks SimonMed
How they actually paid someone to install this new bill pay system should be a corporate example of "DO NOT EVER HIRE THIS COMPANY AND USE THIS SYSTEM "
If you go online to pay they ask for your the provider number but nowhere on the bill is a provider number so then you wait almost an hour to talk to someone who doesn't have the provider number either and then they transfer you to someone who can't input the actual dollar amount of the bill so if you want you can OVER PAY after all this wasted time and aggravation!
They need to have all executives come in and try and pay a bill to see how useless this system is … and live chat is equally useless as they just refer you to the website and the phone number
I feel bad for the poor customer service people that answer the phone because it's not their fault some complete idiot approved this new system.
They need to be compensated from the executives that signed off on this useless system of bill paying for having to listen to customers like myself that just want to pay their bill
Initial scheduling and insurance processing was quick and easy. The staff was very communcative and responsive on the phone.
HOWEVER, a day before my scheduled appointment, I received a call that the service was going to be over a hundred dollars more than originally quoted. I decided to still proceed. The following day when I arrived the staff were cold and strictly business... fill out paperwork, provide insurance card and license, etc. Once paperwork was processed I was called up to pay. The amount the staff member said was now over $250 more than originally quoted!?! We worked out the amount due for the service and confirmed no more was needed. MRI tech treated me like the machines... robotic and mechanical. After the MRI I inquired about the results. They were irritated that I wanted a copy rather (at this point I didn't trust them to actually send results to my doctor). Sure enough, after a week waiting for my doctor to contact me about the results I found our SimonMed did NOT send the results as they said they would.
AFTER all of this, I received a bill for additional payment due. I've gone back and forth with a few customer service representatives questioning the additional payment needed after I was told the day of my MRI the total cost was complete... the representative pointed out wording on my receipt that once insurance is complete, the cost may vary.
From previous experiences with insurance, I understand cost of services change from quoted amount to actual amount due. I felt mislead and tricked by SimonMed. I was not treated as a human after the initial scheduling/information gathering phone call.
I write this review to suggest others do not select SimonMed for your needed service, review all information, and have everything documented prior to attending any appointment.
Thank you for taking the time to read this review and hopefully my experience will provide information to help you select an imaging clinic best suited for you!
I went there to get a basic chest x-ray for a volunteer visa that I'm applying for. The person behind the counter, who would have been helping me was named George. He was incredibly rude. When he finished assisting the person that was at the counter, and they walked away. He started working on his computer. He never greeted me. He never acknowledged me he never looked up. This went on for over five minutes of me, standing there with not so much is a greeting or even telling me that he would be with me in a moment. When I finally walked up to the counter where he was at. He looked at me rudely and asked me if I had some type of issue or problem. Long story short, he was incredibly rude, and even though I stood at the counter, with my hands crossed on my purse he accused me of intimidating him when I walked up to the counter. When I asked for his supervisors name for the manager name, he said he was the manager, and didn't offer to give me information for anyone else. I could talk to above him. He claimed that he would take my information and pass it to his supervisor, but that he didn't have any contact information for his supervisor. He didn't offer to give me the information for the corporate office either. I would not recommend this location. The gentleman behind the counter George was incredibly rude, condescending patronizing. The most bizarre part of all was after this encounter he claimed that somehow he was a victim that I had done something to intimidate him because I walked up to the counter and asked him to acknowledge me as a customer. Somehow by me doing this, according to him, he was victimized. He also claimed that the very active me just standing at the counter was intimidating him and I was also entering into his personal workspace. That's actually a direct quote from him my standing at the counter is entering into his personal workspace. Like I said, it was the most bizarre experience I've ever had. I do not recommend Simon med men imaging to anyone find someone else go to their competitors.
My first appointment I had to reschedule. I only wanted to do the CTA portion of my script and not the calcium scoring, as my insurance didn't cover the latter, but the office made me get a new script.
Additionally, they told me I had to take beta blockers and the protocol was for 3 which is way more than other reputable imaging centers in Tampa. Additionally, I was on asthma medication which scientific research published in medical journals states should only be given under supervision. I tried to call the morning of my appointment for guidance but the cardiac team was unavailable as it is located in Arizona (2 hour time difference from Tampa).
Additionally, I showed up a little early to take the pill on site but was told it would take an hour to be effective although medical journals states it will become effective in 30 min and peak in 90. In the end, I waited an hour to be seen. This protocol is cookie cutter and doesn't take into account the individual's situation. My pulse which runs low because I've been athletic/active all my life was within the acceptable range without the beta blockers. No one ever asked my pulse history or if I was on asthma meds.
Then in prep for the exam, the tech could not get the catheter in either arm and had collapsed the veins so that someone else had to be brought in to do it. I've had MRIs with contrast and CTs done throughout my life and never had this problem. During the exam when the iodine was released, it caused an infiltration event. I was crying from the pain. The tech did not realize at first as she kept telling me to bring my arm down but I couldn't move it. When she realized what happened, she couldn't find heat compresses at first as the room was not stocked with them. Then, she couldn't get a hold of a doctor to examine me. In the end, I had a telephone consult where the PA told me if it got worse to go to the ER. I had swelling the size of a golf ball on my arm, excruciating pain, and within an hour started to have a splitting headache and began to run a fever. I have bruising on the arm as well.
I took a photo of my arm but for privacy purposes will not post it.
I will not be returning back to this facility.
I have been waiting for a 3 o'clock appointment It is now 4.30. They keep saying I'm
Next. Just feel
Like walking out.
