I went for my yearly mammogram at the Queen Creek Simon Med a month ago. I had an additional issue so I was told to reschedule, which I did there, and they said they would get an order for the additional testing from my primary physician. One month later, at my appointment, they have no order. During the month I received uncountable texts and emails regarding the appointment. I filled out all paperwork online. Not once, did I receive any notice that they did not have an order. They were able to contact my primary by phone who was willingly to provide a verbal order, but, by that time, the testing person was gone. Result…I have to reschedule, yet again. I tried to get in touch with the facility manager to no avail. Terrible situation and I would not recommend this facility to anyone.
On the day of x-ray's I handed in a written records request form.
I also requested a copy of the report be sent to my primary care doctor.
After 5 days I called and they said it was sent. Waiting another 3 days I called again
They claimed the information was sent out to both of us but another request would be sent. After waiting another 3 days I went down to the facility the x-ray's were taken and demanded a copy. While at the office I had the personal check the records and they claim the information was sent out to both me and my primary care doctor. Arriving home I contacted my primary doctor and they claim the fax was never sent. It's two weeks now and no copy is in the mail. The Simon Med I went to was at 1111 S. Dobson rd., in Mesa Arizona. If you need a copy of your report I suggest you locate another
Provider.
Simon Med has been great in posting imaging results on the clinic portal. Special mention to Cameron David, our Rep for Premed care clinic. He is excellent, goes the extra mile to help us out with getting patient schedule done including with assisting patients regarding issues with health insurance. He is available anytime day or night. He answers our calls to him in a timely manner. Simon Med is very lucky to have Cameron working for them. Thank you Cameron!

I left a Google review stated that one of the technicians was culturally insensitive about my hair piece( he stated it look like a mop) never seen a black mop before so you know where this going. Well today I received a call from the regional manager or whatever her title is. She stated that she spoke with the both technicians to see what occurred. Of course he lied and said he didn't say that it look like a mop however, he stated he said the other technician through it like a mop. Which I think is weird because I didn't see him until after all three of my MRI's were done. Anyway the young lady stated that he has worked there for 25 years and is a great tech. Needless to say she believed them and well I will not go back again due to the racist comment made. She apologized but never said the tech apologize. I would not recommend this place. It was very offensive as I my hair piece is the same texture of my hair, so it is obvious that he believe black people with texture hair look like a mop. He can say what he wants to say but I know what I heard. It was racist and I will not recommend this place and will not return. I know his name but I will not mention it in this post.
Today was the longest check in process ever at the Dobson Road location. I waited over 20 minutes to get checked in. There was one person working on 3 desks for checking in clients. The other 2 were manned but it was over 10 minutes before one of them opened for a customer. The person at the desk was calling a doctor's office about their appointment and none of the other personnel at their desks asked to help. The woman in front of me was checking in after her appointment time. Once I was checked in and waiting for my appointment, the line to check in got even longer and there was one poor man with a walker who could barely stand. If these people want to have this type of business they need to consider their cliental and provide some reasonable service. This office has always been bad in it's organization and checking in of clients. Their was one employee who kept walking back and forth behind the desks and would sometimes have her mask off.
I recieved a CTA with contrast. After going through procedure, nurse said the timing of the cat scan machine was off. And did not caputure necessary information. She suggested I go through the procedure a second time. With radiation and contrast risks, I decided not to try it a second time as there was no guarantee the same error would not occur. I heard the same thing happened to another patient a week earlier. I was not charged and I would not recommend SimonMed.
I have been visiting to different area Simon med and always had a great experience but this Laveen village Arizona mammogram technician name Marilyn was so rude. I came over there a little late she grabbed the paper work from my hand and start scolding as if I am her student, after that if I asked any question she keeps stoping showing her hand to stop and says Do not interrupt or just ignoring. I almost start crying and told her about her behavior is not appropriate if she wants I can take another appointment but she did not answer. After I had ultra sound lady name Sonia was so nice. Do not go for mammogram there because if you are already sad for your health you will be tormented.
I had a CT scan done and requested Self Pay the morning of the appointment at check-in and also in the online paperwork completed the previous day. The Self pay is $175. I was instead charged $272.63 which I am guessing is the deductible for my BCBS. I have called numerous times to have this corrected and am given a different explanation every time! I have done a dispute with my credit card company for the $96.73 overcharge as a last resort.
Ridiculous billing practice!
Cash buyers w/o ins. BEWARE. They do NOT tell you their prices are estimates and will price gouge. They billed at insurance rates, billed an insurance company I told them I wasn't insured with, then sent me the bill when the insurance company didn't pay. If you are a cash pay health services consumer, do not choose to go here. I will be filing with the BBB as when I called customer service they just offered payment arrangements. You get no stars when you lie to the consumer.
Beware! They billed my insurance company and the insurance paid. Then they created a second bill for the same date of service and same exact service and are billing me showing a totally different "total" amount billable then they sent to my insurance company. My service was completely covered by insurance but now they say I owe over $500 and after 12 calls can't get the issue resolved.
Differently the worst Medical company you would use for Imaging.
Tte reason for this review is to make you aware of the total incompetence of the people who work there as trying to schedule appointments is nearly impossible as for example it took 8 phone calls as the call center either cuts you off or hang up on on you as the don't know how to transfer to the proper department.
Poor customer service and rude rudeness is what I received.
In conclusion I would never recommend this company for medical imaging,

I paid amount they said I owed at time of procedure, and then insurance showed only a copay was due. Its been 6 months since the imagining, and 4 since I contacted them about the $175 I over paid. They just give me the run around and change their stories. I have yet to be able to get my money back they owe me. I will not be returning to them due to the problem I am having. Make sure you don't overpay for a procedure if you go there.
Everyone is "spot on" with their reviews. Should be a.5 gratis at best. Called to schedule and imaging appointment. During the conversation, I asked the scheduler if it is common to take 2 hours to get an Xray because that's how long it took on my last (first) visit to SimonMed. She asked if I made an appointment for it. I said Xrays are walk-in only. She actually started arguing with me that you can schedule Xrays. Next thing I know, the phone went dead. Said hello several times and no answer. She actually hung up on me. Received an email shortly after for my ultrasound a month later. Had my Primary Care doctor switch me over to Desert Radiology which is where I had always been going. Their service is sickening Simon. Majority of the review ratings are spot on. It's the worst customer service I have ever seen!
On Oct 24-2021 made appointment for MRI. I provide them with all insurance information. On Oct 25 6 hours before my appointment for MRI they called me and told me that they will not accept my insurace. Stupid people...
Steve, Jessica, and, Tori, were all really really good. Good job all three of you guys. Keep up the good work. I had 3 tests done today back to back today I had a really really good experience. I give all 3 people a 5 stars rating. The imaging Center is a five star rating as well. Dimple Babani
I've gone to SimonMed for my mammogram & had several of my appointments were canceled at the last minute because no technician showed up for work. One time tried to book an appointment & was told the procedure would cost me several hundreds of dollars. But I told the rep no, it should cost me $0. Another time I tried to book another appointment and I got the run-around. I was given several different numbers on numerous different calls. All the numbers didn't have any response. This company is a total waste of time.
Two MRIs; one was 1:20 late, the other an hour. The first is more than a month ago.
Neither has yet sent results to my doctor.
The first has yet sent bill to my insurance company.
Spent more than an hour trying to get the first one sent; have failed to even have the company *find* the exam.
Because of the first one, I asked
Every
Single
Step
Of the way to have the results faxed to my doctor.
Still failed.
While the service in the San Francisco Office was very good, the billing practices of this company are unethical and possibly illegal. You need to review EVERY single detail - and if you have a mistake on your bill, it will take months to resolve. The people that answer the phone "attempt" to be helpful, but nothing is resolved in real time... you have to call back in 7 to 10 days. When you do, the issue still isn't resolved. I have now made 8 calls to resolve a $200 billing issue... and the issue is still not resolved. Each call lasts anywhere between 15 minutes and 1 hour each time. I am at the point now where I don't care about the money and just really annoyed with how they operate. Before doing business with them check YELP in your local area or the Better Business Bureau. The number of complaints about this company are through the roof. Would seem like the CEO and Executive Team are not paying attention to the billing department at all... which is too bad, as the actual service for the procedure was quite good.
I had been waiting for an MRI for a month; I went the day it had been schedule on December 23th. Only to find out I had to reschedule because they had not received the clearance from the cardiologist. I went to the cardiologist, they told me they had sent it December 8th. They gave me a copy, I took it to Siminmed and the receptionist said: "oh I'm sorry, it's not in your file". I called numerous time to reschedule, after one hour and forty three minutes on hold I was told that the only person who can reschedule me is Mercedes, nothing from her yet. I told them I'm in a lot of pain, I hurt my hip in Paris over two months ago and I need to know what my problem is. I cannot believe how disgustingly unprofessional these people are. Shame on them!
Answer: SimonMed is NOT a scam - but it is far from a legit company. They take advantage of customers and hope you don't notice or ask questions.
SimonMed has a rating of 1.4 stars from 60 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with SimonMed most frequently mention customer service and front desk. SimonMed ranks 176th among Medical Equipment sites.
