Silver Singles sends inactive member profiles to fill up your mailbox. SS sends people that you have eliminated on your Q&A. Extremely disappointed in this service.

Not everyone will be as lucky as me. There are some clever scammers on this site.
Best to totally stay away. There is no way to authenticate the profiles because they send them to you without any backend info: paying member, not a paying member, history like divorced, single, widowed.
All the important historical info is screened out of the profile.
Disaapointing at best!
Have no proof of purchase cause I deleted everything that would remind me of this waste of my time and emotional energy.

Silver singles is nothing but a Scam site that uses Fake moderators and stolen female profiles an pictures from facebook to act as current members, This whole guise is a Fraud them sendin you fake messages of woman liking ur profile or sendin you a smile.Im reporting for wire fraud an illegally taking unsuspecting members money when they know they have zero real members

I get emails about someone and after I click on view profile, that someone is nowhere to be found. Instead, it looks like I get everybody that's on the site except for the one that is referenced in the email...I prepaid for 6 six months.bad choice on my part, but hey "live and learn"...One of the worse sites ever...I do not recommend. I won't even mention a scammer I ran into in this review. Needless to say, I would be an idiot to renew my membership.

You get matches from hundreds of miles away- even other countries! None local. You get emails about almost every one who contacts you (15 out of 20 in two months) telling you that these members are a risk and do not give out any information to them. Total Scam site! Horrible!

Joined in August, subscription runs out in mid February. I have sent over 200 messages, virtually no responses! I'm in shape, have a very good job and my looks have held up pretty decently considering I'm 50+. I always write a nice, respectful, positive message, and I get no response. The few responses I did get were from women in Maryland, Pennsylvania, D.C., Virginia, Maine, Massachusetts. Apparently women in the tri-state area (NY,NJ,CT) are rude, holier than thou or looking for GQ model looks coupled with Bezos, Musk, Gates wealth. Good luck with that! Yeah, I'd like a Victoria's Secret/Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, but that ain't happening! I truly believe 9 out of 10 profiles are phony, manufactured by the disingenuous cretins running this disreputable site. It is almost impossible odds that I have yet to meet someone. If they offered me a year at half price to remain I would quickly decline. PURE GARBAGE!

Over 95% of so-called matches are:
- over 100 miles and many not even in my state
- under 5'9"
- miss the age by a mile in either direction

Basically out of the 200 matches in the past 2 months less than 5% even come close. In addition, for the last month, every single match has "NO PHOTO" When I contacted customer service (what a joke) they said it was something on my end. I paid $200 for an IT person to come out and since it happens on both my PC and iPad App - he determined it was their platform. I again advised them of this and again, they said not their problem so for over a month, I continue to get new matches but not only do they NOT fit my requirements - there is no photo.

It' simple...they get to claim over 200 matches yet less than 5% actually are within the criteria I specified. Basically, it's a numbers game so they simply send you whatever and then if you want more, you have to pay for it.

They need to change their name from "Customer Service" to "It's your problem, don't bother us" YOu can never reach anyone and their answers are almost always canned and not specific. Don't have this problem with MATCH.COM I am actually going to have American Express check into this because as far as Im concerned this is fraud or at the least false advertising at my expence. 0 rating from me. This site does not deliver.

First of all, the site does not have any matches that are nearby. Also, the site is set up in such a way that although you have cancelled the service, in fact, if you're not thorough enough, they will charge you for another three months. And then, refuse to refund the money, on the day of the unwanted renewal. Stay away from this place. It's a total rip off.

Bottom line. Probably too risky now, to try online dating. Stop while you're safe. Years ago Greensingles was a good site. My perception; no online dating site is safe or secure, circa 2022.

I actually KNEW one of the ladies whose picture popped up here and she told me that she DID NOT SIGN UP to use this website and did not consent to have her picture used here.

Also the distance parameter simply doesn't work or is being totally ignored by design.

I have sent out no less than 50 "Likes" and heard back from only about 3 of them.

I began communicating with a beautiful lady on this site and we have been on 5 dates so far. I am more than happy with my results. I won't deny I had to wade through many scammers that I'm sure infect other dating sites as well. Silver Singles does alert you when they suspect a problem with someone who has contacted you is not legit. After awhile you can ID these scammers on your own.

Please don't waste your time and money. The "matches" I was given were nowhere near me, and I was contacted by several scammers. I don't think there are any real people on the site.

Use PLENTY OF FISH instead. They have have FREE MESSAGING. Yes, you can pay for more features but Messaging is free. So, you can chat and meet people without paying.

SILVER SINGLES is just an ELABORATE SCAM! You can't do anything useful as a free member.

I WASTED HOURS setting up a profile, taking their "personality tests", and THEN found out that you can't see profiles, message, chat, see photos or anything else unless you pay $20-30 per month!

Terrible dating site. Nightmare to correct a mistake such as wrong height on profile. Cannot search but you have to wait for them to match you up. Beyond a ripoff

I joined with the monthly rate of $59.00 because I didn't want to commit to a 3 or 6 month membership until I checked it out. I wasn't very happy with the site because most of the matches were Way too far away, and i the first month, I didn't have a match that interested me. I decided to try it one more month….Well, instead of the $59.00
Automatic withdrawal, they charged me double, $119.95, for the second month…
And they refuse to refund it, because, I didn't notify them 3 days before it was due. They sent me a copy of the second page of the agreement, in very, very, tiny small print, it reveals the following charges would be doubled. Why would I knowingly, agree to pay $119.95 for one month, when I could get 3 months for that price! They correspond to my complaints with "standardized " emails, stating that I will not a get a refund…They have turned off my service, yet are keeping the $119.95.
There are a lot of scammers on the site, but, the biggest scammer is Silver Singles!

I accidently registered in English (I'm bilingual) but filled my information in French, since I live en Quebec (French canadian region). The app squarely rejects my information, even in certain cases where I put it biingual! I'm trying to get support to switch my profile to French and the only thing they have to offer me is "Send us a screenshot"... what? They just don't care, I lost hundreds of dollars on a useless profile and I'm not renewing!
