I was contacted by over 20 fake profiles in under 2 weeks. I received emails from Silver Singles warning me about these profiles - many of whom I had already figured out were fake. Don't waste money on this site!

Began completing my profile and was about 20% complete when I began getting creepy responses every couple of minutes from an obviously fake account "Mr. Honesty" telling me (not asking me) to post my photo. I would think a person could wait a few extra minutes for the final keystrokes and photo upload.

The lack of concern about 80% of info missing and emphasis on my photo deeply concerned me. My profile status was "in progress" which is self explanatory. I found - as suspected - this site is headquartered outside the U.S. as the response I got was very curt/rude by my standards. Whoever runs this site should block responses until a profile is 100% completed and final. I only want to communicate with age 50+ people on dating websites, but this could be anyone from a web administrator wanting more information to much, much worse.

This site isn't just non-legit, it's potentially dangerous. Sent a complaint to customer service. Explained my dissatisfaction as described above. Asked them to delete any/all info I submitted since I will not be doing business with them.

Back then I talked to one woman on the phone, two years later I come back on the site, it seems cheaper today, but Is now derelict, even more then it was before I had no answer so far, well is my first day so wish me luck.

This site has no verification process and is loaded with fake accounts. I have tried other dating sites that have some issues with fake accounts but Silver Singles was my worst experience. You can tell the fake accounts by the single picture that looks like a model and the content is scripted. I kept seeing several accounts with the exact same intro. "I'm an educated man so I'd like to date someone who is educated. I like to paint in my free time." Awful service. Try any other site if you're seriously searching.

Been on the site for two months. About 80 per cent of my matches have no photos or a great distance beyond my location therefore useless. Total waste of money... I regret joining.

I joined on August 28,2022 premium x 6 months and cancelled on 10/13/2022. It's well worth cancelling it like paying $150 to not get aggravated and not get a headache.
Few real members. I got a daily dose once or twice a day of scammers like what others described here, the same profile or the same theme of profiles, the same theme of messages: he was going through his profile before he closes it then found my profile and asks me to email his friend who had been a widower, blah blah!
Here's another example: "I had to do this for my friend. I was telling him how the site works and we stumbled on your profile on the search for women around his location, would like to connect you to him. He lives close to you. " Then ask for my email or CP # to forward to his friend or give me his email to contact him or his friend for info and photos.
There's one person who I communicated x 2 weeks, I went along, weird repetitive daily message" kept telling me he is new to this and joined x a month only, learning how to go about it. Broken English, Italian descent, Irish looks, blonde hair. Parents deceased for decades, divorced x8 yrs no kids! So convenient! After 2 weeks of weirdness, I did the test! I asked him to post a photo of himself with his favorite cup of coffee and boom! Suddenly this guy vanished! Then, immediately I received a message alert from Silversingles that there is a suspicious member trying to contact me, it is 2 weeks! But not when he started contacting me or during the exchange of messages. Again, how so convenient! They know how to protect their own! Most often someone who sends a smile and not check your profile is a scammer.My friend there reviewed my profile but the weirdness in his conversation one would never miss. Also because I catch them all the time and report messages I always get alerted by Silversingles after the fact. I sent a message to all peeps who contacted me and I've read their profiles I know we're legit, told them to check Silversingles' reviews at this website, those reviews I experienced. Sent those messages to all who contacted me or checked my profile and vice versa andI think we're real people, then made my exit. I can not stand the thought that this website will keep on fooling other people, it's like watching a thief do his deed and not do anything. Happy that I left. DO NOT JOIN SILVERSINGLES EVER! They are out to get your money, a few members who are legit they keep you busy with their scammers who they harbor and protect! This is a German based company. Just saying!
They don't deserve even 1/2 a star! Those poor people whose photos had been posted under a scammer' s fake name! Some profile I included in the photos, very common, usually they're a project manager, a masters degree( in scamming)

Yes a lot of scammers but all dating sites have that. I have met some nice women there who I still keep in contact with. My complaint is the site is slow and buggy. One contact said there are characters in my messages that I did not add. Making it hard to read. Also the site is sometimes confusing in that it is hare to know who reviewed your profile, or if you reviewed their profile.

I thought I would find a mature and family-oriented woman of my age on Silversingles, but eventually I found her on some other site. SilverSingles was a total failure. It looks like SilverSingles' popularity is on the decline now, so all they can offer is a bunch of outdated profiles and a few bot-written vague introduction messages with no follow-up. I exchanged a few letters with one lady but she was full of ego and somewhat socially unhinged. To cut it short, SilverSingles don't supply what they promise and therefore they are not worth the money they are asking for.

Do not waste your money on this site! It is full of scammers and reporting it to the company is useless. I am going to report this site for fraud! My money should have already been refunded.

This site does not reveal full profile to viewers. Automatic matching does not match member preferences. Almost all matches no where near me geographically and very little in common due to poor programming of preferences and profile provided. Very disappointed. It doesn't matter how attractive your site appears if you cannot provide the service. :(

A money grubbing dating service that can not manage their member authenticity. I was constantly sent fake profiles and scam messages that left me feeling very vulnerable and untrusting of everyone. Then when you cancel - they threaten to send you to collections for when they claim they didn't get the cancellation and bill you for the next year! Ridiculous!

Waste of money and time. So many security emails of scammers. Truly an open field of scammers only. Would not rebate money yet did not offer services agreed to.

$100 wasted on this POS with many, many, many fake profiles. Stay far away from this fake dating site.

I have for weeks been unable to access anything they send. I hit their link and it comes back with a blank page that says "NONE" I wrote to customer service. Explained the problem. And got a canned response telling me try a different browser and empty cache and cookies. It was done. And I even went to a professional in case I was not doing it correctly. It cost me almost $100.00 to be told. It is not my computer. Since every other piece of mail and link works just fine. It is their program exclusively that does not work. So I wrote again to customer service. And told them I did all they suggested and even had a professional work on it. So please either fix the issue or give me a refund. She in turn tells me to clean the cookies and cache. So I wrote again and said fix it or refund my membership. The response is they do not refund... So they take the money, they keep the money, they refuse to help with the problem, give you nothing for your money. It is a scheme, a scam and a fraud... Do not waste your money on a company that does not even apologize for the problems. All they want is your money...

Fake profiles are the main contributor to this site and most dating sites. You'll be wasting your $$ but more importantly your time. Good luck!

Scammers are all over this website. Sending messages to email them directly. Refund better be coming.

Never join silver singles they are scammers. Even though I dropped my membership they kept charging my credit card I had to close my credit card! And a lot of the profiles are fraudulent!
