I would actually give zero as a rating if I could. Today I visited the Newport News, Virginia Shoe Carnival, while I was on a work break. I entered the store and proceeded to the back where the sneakers are and immediately I realized I was followed by a white male associate. He asked if I needed help and I told him no. Next he asks "so, you're just looking?" At this point I'm just looking at him wondering why I was being interrogated, knowing he only did it because I'm black. There was another customer in the same area that I was in and he didn't say a word to her. Finally he went away. I didn't like being followed and interrogated so I started to leave and next the blonde lady that's been there for years was rushing towards me and asked if I needed help. I told her no and explained what had just happened with the other associate. I asked if he did it because I was black and she said no, he did it because she told him to while she was helping someone else. So it was her idea for this man to follow me? That doesn't sound too inviting and it didn't feel right. I knew exactly what was happening.
So, in less than 3 minutes I was profiled and followed by two associates. There was absolutely no reason for this. This experience made me feel very uncomfortable so I left. I should inform others about this experience.
Gots uggs from there, apparently the inner fur is faux, which the shoecarnival didn't mention on the product page conveniently.
Plus you have to pay for your own shipping, then also you have to print the label out and then on top of that go somewhere to actually ship the return.
I don't recommend this store, they might be selling fake goods (judging from the low price and the faux fur fiasco), overall not a good shopping experience.
I ordered 6 pair of shoes on line for my grand kids in Alaska. When ordering we called customer service to make we did everything right we were told to 34.95 extra for over night mail. We explained that they are going to Alaska what would the ti. E fram be she stated just a few days the order was placed on 8/9/2022 well by 8/16/2022 no shoes no tracking info after several phone calls we found out that there is no overnight to Ak so shouldn't of been charged the 34.95 but there is a 10 surcharge to Ak so they refunded $15 5 pair of shoes arrived on the 24th and the 6 the pair never arrived and the customer service was no help what so ever I will never order thru them again
I bought a pair of athletic shoes and sandals on 08/02. I wore the sandals twice and the strap was coming loose where it was sewn. I had thrown out my receipt because I knew I was keeping the shoes. I went in to the store to make an even exchange. I was told no because I didn't have my receipt, the box, and was not part of their program. It was just an even exchange. I didn't want money. I worked on retail for many years and that was poor customer service. I will jo longer shop there.
I really wanted comfortable running shoes and they have good selection of brand name footwear, the quality is good, service was polite and fast shipping!
I got extremely nervous because I saw all of the bad reviews. However, they came exactly as described. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 is they got here one day late. Other than that, perfect.
I ordered a pair of levi sneakers. They were delivered super quick. Even a day earlier than the date they sent me. They are exactly what I ordered and look great.
I was reluctant to order from Shoe Carnival because all of the negative reviews. So that's why I am writing a review for them now, because everything I had ordered was brand new, not worn or used. I have no complaints at all. I'm so happy with my purchase! Thank you Shoe Carnival!
I love this store. They have the best sales on shoes and you can buy them easily online (where shipping is free on most shoes) or in your local store. Earn points to redeem for discounts. I have been a member since the beginning.
I ordered the same pair of shoes twice in different sizes and they still didn't fit right. The customer service could only send me ONE return shipping label, and said to email a copy of my FedEx receipt for the 2nd pair and I would be reimbursed. I did this and was denied. So now I have no shoes and am in the hold $13.11. Will never buy from them again. I spent hours on this.
The soles started to fall of the boots in just a few days and the thin film of fake brown leather on the sides has torn to reveal the black material underneath on both sides of both shoes. Worst quality shoes I've ever bought. They were on sale and I still paid over $40 for them. That doesn't even include what I paid for shipping. (They were the Kedge lace-up boots)
The website could really use some tweeking. You have to load each page. Okay fine. What is not fine is when you click on an item after scrolling through 150 pairs of shoes to only have the web page start you from the beginning of your search. This is ridiculous and caused me to purchase from a another company with a more convenient and user-friendly web page.
Told me my bank was wrong or I was lying because they could not possibly be mistaken... and then the corporate contact? Got the feeling they were besties... AND the shoes suck. Got my bank account straightened out after numerous calls. I know they couldn't care less but NEVER AGAIN!
We spent over an hour selecting 4 pairs of shoes
We made sure to select the shoes that were 10% discounted
We proceeded to pay and the cashier brought the shoes with higher prices without any discounts
My wife let her know that the shoes had signs with discounts on them
The cashier calls her manager on the phone and the manager happens to be exactly on the same aisle where we have selected the shoes.
She indicated that the cashier machine price was correct. My wife then said that we selected those shoes because we knew they were discounted, otherwise we did not want them.
The cashier told us to go back to the aisle and speak to her manager.
Once we arrived in the aisle, we noticed the manager was changing the price signs of the shoes with more expensive signs. We told her, that was not the price we saw when we took the shoes. She said she was placing the correct signs on them. We noticed the name of the shoes of the sign she placed was not even the right name for the shoes we wanted to purchase.
We told her, the shoes we wanted are the ones who's sign you are holding in your hand and you just removed. That sign had the correct name for the shoes and it was reflecting the 10% discount.
She just said she was correct and that price was wrong to begin with. So, I said you just lost over $200 in sales.
She acted like she did not care a bit. So we left the store without any shoes and we are never returning there.
The manager and cashier both were very young and inexperience with customer service. The experience was terrible. I will never visit this store again.
Then sent the same pair of shoes twice to the wrong address. The second time I guess the people decided they shouldn't keep the second pair and brought them to my house. I never received my daughters shoes and they had to give me a refund! They use FEDEX why would you use a delivery service that clearly is unreliable! I'll never buy anything from them on line I never had this much of a hassle ordering online! Do not do it!
Ordered 2 pairs of Puma sneakers on the 3rd of June. Here it is the 6th, just 3 days later and I have my sneakers. Perfect fit, great look, comfort and most of all, IT FITS! Definitely have my family and I business.
I WAS a customer, but due to organ failure, I'm retaining fluid & everything is swollen, including my feet.
I'm not the only one in this boat. Shoe Carnival does NOT seem to carry decent shoes like Skechers in the WIDE width people like me need. I guess they don't WANT to have us as customers.
They sell fake air forces they dont even have the duebre (metal part on the lace) and they dont even have the word "air" on the shoe its obvious fake but people say its not fake like what.
I got three pairs of boots last Christmas and the heels are clapping the heels are hollow and they don't last long I wish I would have gotten them from somewhere else
An IRRITATING NON WORKING website! The SOB's have a TEASE contest that all of a sudden are they blocking me, denying acceptance of entry and/or punishment! I faked those SOBs out the second day by using a different internet connection, but the third day of trying to enter, I was denied AGAIN! THREE f!@#$%^&*ing days now I have been trying to enter their tease contest AND I CAN'T! It's a NON WORKING F!@#$%^&*ed up website that CAN'T and WON'T stay working 24/7! It's irritating and down right cruel! These SOBs do NOT belong on the web! STAY AWAY FROM SHOECARNIVAL.com! Unless you want to get enraged to the point of destruction!
