We bought a boat from GA & hired Ben Field (Shiply username: Jrdavis5210) through Shiply to transport it to MA. Ben charged us $750 in advance. He contacted me the day before he was supposed to deliver the boat saying his truck was in the shop and would be delayed. No worries, we understand. He continued pushing us off over the next 2 weeks with stories of the repair shop having his truck to replace his wheel bearings…we finally had to cancel the deal because he was not able to deliver the boat in time. We requested a refund of the $750 deposit and he asked us to accept $500 and he'd send the other $250 the next day. No problem. That was over a month ago and he has continually ignored requests to refund our money. When he did reply, he claimed he has financial issues with his bank. So essentially he spent our money and now can't refund it. He's a thief. Do not hire him!
There is much competition for couriers for regular parcels but when you need some odd shaped item picked up from the other side of the country and delivered to you then they are always my first choice. Their prices put the major carriers to shame and the drivers always seem keen to help.
Don't just take the cheapest quote, same as in all professions, some people are morons, some are great, check reviews and double check everything and all being well shipley will get you in touch with a professional team of couriers.
There's few places you can get big stuff delivered this cheap and quickly.
Always get lots of quotes, not had a bad experience and have had some great couriers at not much above what it would cost me to hire a van and do it myself! Stress free way to get items delivered, easy to use website. Had a sofa delivered from Gumtree and it is now in my garden a day after being picked up - very happy :)
We had a motorcycle shipped. When we received the email for a review, it does not allow you to submit a negative review. No matter what we did, unless we clicked "positive" the site would not allow our review. So someone would have to go in and read a positive review to know it was negative. The site just kept posting "A negative review can't be left until ##/##/##." A date that was 2 weeks out from the shipment. They are hoping people forget. We did have an issue - bike was dropped and clutch handle broken. Shipper said not them, although dealer had photos and video of loading showing no damage. Also, shipper was not very professional. DO NOT TRUST the percentage of positive reviews on their site.
Only part of the shipment arrived - nearly 4 months ago. Shiply tried to help and I have since found out that there is absolutely no responsibility on the part of Shiply to try and resolve the matter and no comeback. Last time I used the service it was great. This time I have lost out. Don't use the service if you are not personally insured. If your shipment goes adrift its bad luck for you. And I have since found out the the company is still trading with shiply so they clearly do not care for the customers that trusted in their site
This is a bait and switch company. They make fake driver accounts to get you to accept a fake bid. Once you accept the driver changes the price or disapears. At that point shiply has your money and won't give it back, the force you to try to use another much more expensive driver.
Original bid was $1427. Now all the bids are over $2500! Thats over a 50% markup...
Total scam!
Easy to do, get great value for money and an efficient reliable service. Had a sofa collected from an ebay seller and was really pleased with Sergei's service after choosing his quotation. He was able to collect the sofa I had purchased the next day, charged very reasonable amount, let the seller and myself know a rough time and then an hour before arriving, and delivered it perfectly and with a smile. Highly recommended
I've used Shiply a few times now and have never had a bad experience. Love the fact that I can find cheap items across the country and arrange their delivery at a reasonable price and very simply. It's easy!
Managed to get my broken down vehicle back home from France via a Shiply transaction. It all went smoothly and the vehicle was delivered at the stated time by the haulier. Had to trust the Shiply reviews but the haulier was excellent and communicated well throughout. Think the Shiply fees are a bit high for their part of the delivery process but guess this is offset by cheaper delivery costs from the hauliers. Would use again.

This was my first time using Shiply and I can only be honest by saying that it was a great experience. My chosen carrier could not have been more helpful and goods were collected and delivered on time with no damage. I appreciate that there are some negative reviews here but I can only review as I find - and, in my opinion, this is a good service.
Takes the hassle out of finding a removal company. I had so many quotes for the job it was amazing. Easy to get the operation off the ground and feedback enabled you to make a better judgement. Would use them again when transporting anything from A to B. Thank you for the great service!
Shiply is a scam, do not use them. 1. They take a fee, not a deposit (unlike how it says on the Shiply receipt) 2. They connect to you with a shady transporter 3. If there are any problems with the transporter, Shiply does not contact them, they said they can't hold anything responsible. In general their service FAILS. The point of Shiply is to find a trusted transporter, which they obviously did not do, then what's the point of using them? When I had troubles locating my car since the transport company would not tell me the location of my car, Shiply did NOTHING. They hide behind emails (there is no phone number on their site) and all they can say is, they are not responsible for anything. So, if you want to give $100 to Shiply for them doing nothing, then go ahead, but better donating that $100 somewhere else.
I had used them before but forgot about them and tried to use other well known sites, but the price was high and people were wasting my time. Was able to sift through quotes, read reviews and ask questions. Found an excellent removal company and had a seamless move, will use them again for household jobs and recommend them
I posted two requests for car shipping on shiply and received no responses even after two weeks. I then went on their "search shipments" tab on their website and noticed similar requests for shipping from alberta to the east coast (nova scotia) had been sitting for weeks, even months, with no offers. I believe shiply posts low rates to get your deposit and then walks away. It took them over two weeks to refund my money. Waste of time.
I have advertised parcel with dimensions, weight, pick up address and delivery address, according to that I have received many quotations, each courier you contact you have to pay £7 to Shiply first, then each courier replies back "sorry we don't cover your area". My question is that if you don't cover my area then why send the written quotations? These kind of couriers only help Shiply to make money for nothing.
Will definitely use again. Posted a request and got so many quotes back so quickly. There are so many prices to compare so pick and choose which ever ones have better reviews of course. The shipper has great communication and also willing to negotiate in price, helpful on dates. Highly recommend Shiply and will definitely use again in future whenever needed.
Very efficient service and saves a load of time and hassle contacting separate couriers for quotes. Only annoying thing is that it wouldn't let me finish this review without writing at least 100 characters.
