Julie Tran was very helpful in the process of returning an attempted fraudulent purchase. Warehouse took way too long to ship package back.
I was considering registering with them, but there were 2 big red flags, that made me looking up the phrase: "Shipito scam"... OMG, after reading those absolutely horrific reviews about identity fraud (i. E. "extorting your ID's) I changed my mind. NEVER give any internet company your ID's. No one has a right to demand that info, which can leave you and your family easily without a cent and in an unknown debt one day. Did any big, respectable online company ever required ID's from you? No. There.
At first, I got suspicious right away, because they don't list all of their hidden fees on the website, while trying too hard to suck you into their binding membership. They list just a basic fees, that look affordable, but you discover the obnoxious hidden surcharges only later, when it mostly too late to turn back. If you ask their customer service for the hidden fees - they just ignore the questions.
Second - their shipping calc is a pure scam. Many members complain about it as well. I compared the shipping prices at the USPS.gov and their calc... one day Shipito shows you a good price, another day is in average $10-20 higher, than USPS on parcels above 25lbs. (I didn' check FedEx, etc., but must be the same fraud).
So they lock you in with 2 things - "cheap" shipping in the calc, which then magically appears way higher when you really ready to ship, and after they have your goods, they extort your private, sensitive information, like there is no tomorrow. Even Paypal, Ebay, Amazon, etc. don't require IDs, why on earth some creepy company feels entitled to do that?
They also boss you around and require to literally "obey" their rules in their Terms: "You agree not to use the Site or the Services to: disobey any requirements, procedures, policies, or regulations " WTF, who do they think they are?
I'm absolutely disgusted at this greedy, unethical way of doing business... enjoy the other reviews.

Shipito was once a great service for forwarding packages; however, I have recently faced extreme incompetence of the Hawthorne warehouse.
In my previous review, I mention how you can send a small package using Airmail and pay a lot less (as an international buyer). I believe this is still true.
My problem relates to a specific warehouse. I used Minden and Torrance warehouses in the past but both are now closed, so I opted for Hawthorne.
My first package with them resulted in a ripped (box cutter) vinyl lp. To be frank, a 12"x12"x0.25" package is an indication that the contents are either an important document or a vinyl; both which should be handled with care during consolidation.
My second and last experience is with regards to package registration. I'm travelling to Burlington, MA for a short medical trip. This area does not have a Target or Walmart nearby and hotel transport only visits within a 5 mile radius. My package arrived Friday at 11am. According to the notice in red and bold font Shipito plasters in everyone's account- I would have to wait up to 24 hours for the package to be registered. However, according to Julie T. (shipito agent), "Packages are processed within 24 business hours". 24 hours and 24 business hours are very different. If Shipito's policy is 24 business hours, why plaster only 24 hours?! Mind you, my second package was registered on the Saturday. So after speaking with 2 agents on this matter (Julie being the second), I realise my consolidated package will never arrive in time without paying for 3 or 2 day shipping starting at $142.82 vs $45.63 for ground.
To conclude, I would advise anyone trying Shipito to never have a time restriction and never use the Hawthorne warehouse.
I reside in Bermuda and regardless of proximity to the USA, shipping rates tend to be killer. Usually, the shipping cost directly from a seller from the USA is $30/lb.
Shipito's greatest feature is AIRMAIL! Larger couriers like Fedex, DHL, USPS, etc. tend to charge a lot per pound. Airmail is more like a local post office delivery.
For example: My 7.00 " x 5.40 " x 1.60 " package that weighed 0.2lb would have been $37.36 using a similar website. I was charged $2 processing fee + $2.11 shipping. Yes, only $4.11 without any local duties.
The pricing is simple. $8 + shipping for individual packages (free service) or $2 + shipping for monthly ($10/month) or yearly ($50/year) memberships. Another great feature is they will hold package up to 180 days and multiple packages from paid memberships. This means when I plan to visit the USA, I can ship it to my hotel at a later date.
I love this company and highly recommend. Low shipping options and rates, Bonuses like free consolidation or %5 off shipping price, Paypal accepted, upfront pricing, customer service chat, notifications, etc. makes my overseas shopping more accessible.
Well, it's as simple as this...
I had used shipito 6 times prior to my last time using them. The sixth time, I had an issue with the shipping calculator whereby I entered all the information "Required" so as to ascertain what the shipping fee would be prior to the package being received.
Seems clear cut, no? Well, the field that I did not enter any information was the "Dimensions" field as this was not marked as 'MANDATORY', unlike the 'CITY' & 'Weight' field.
So, what does this infer to the logical everyday customer? To me, it infers the dimensions field would therefore, not have a bearing on the final shipping fee. Or if it did, it would be something very minuscule.
This however, was obviously not the case. The seventh and final time I chose to use shipito, I did the same thing again. However, this time the weight I entered actually ended up being greater than the weight of the package once delivered to my shipito box.
Thus, I clearly presumed the fee I'd been given when having used the shipito calculator initially would be less as the package was half a pound lighter.
Again, this was not the case. The fee, amazingly, ended up actually being HIGHER. I emailed support with my grievance, and their excuse was, the dimensions of the package plays a significant part (supposedly) in determining the shipping fee. Mind you, as stated previously, it's not deemed MANDATORY to be entered.
This demonstrates to me, it's nothing but a ploy IMO, this Coy is trying to lure customers to their business by publishing shipping prices that will undoubtedly, be altered, ALWAYS seemingly higher, if and when the dimensions of the package are entered.
Stay away IMHO, as the support staff were pathetic in trying to rectify the grievance.
Living about *******kms far from USA, with no possibility sometimeS to receive items from US to my place, Shipito is the BEST way to receive anywhere parcel from USA. Reliable, simple i do love this!

I used to love shipito, and i am currently a paid gold member. But the last months have bean a complete disaster. I have sent 4 packages in November and December, all of them with SLA 5-12 business days. One has comed after 1 month and a half and the others are nowhere to bee seen. Out of the 3,2 have invalid tracking and chat support says they can do nothing and to file a claim trough the ticketing system.
I currently have 3 open tickets for the 3 packages. For the one that was requested in Dec 16th ( still in transit) the customer service rep told me to write back in Feb 10th as she can do nothing before, even tough I paid for 5-12 days shipping.
For the other 2 tickets nobody bothered for 4 days now to answer them.
Even more, the package that left shipito warehouse on Dec 16th was consolidated in November 24 and i struggled for more than 2 weeks to make shipito understand that a shampoo is not a dangerous item. I made 2 international phone calls, chat-ed with support 2 times and had an absolutely horrifying discussion with the support rep that handled my ticket. She insisted to impose a 95 USD dangerous fee on my package because my shampoo has alcohol in it, even after providing a safety sheet form the manufacturer clearly stating that my item is not regulated for transport. When she saw that my package was cleared because of my phone calls she proceeded to tell me that there is no dangerous item ( this time an aerosol can - that never really existed in my package) in my package - in her opinion it was perfectly ok for an item to mysteriously vanish from a client package, and threatened me that if the package is returned to them my shipping cost will not be reimbursed.
So stay away..
At the beginning everything worked fine: I received 5-6 boxes, shipping time was ok, there was some trouble with shipping times, but nothing serious.
Then one of my boxes went missing. I asked about Shipito, they said that they knew nothing. The tracking code didn't work and I didn't get any info from customer service.
Few days later I received message that parcel had been resend back (I can understand that this sometimes happens) and I needed to choose to pay return shipping (item was still in europe) or abandon parcel. I told that I wanted to pay the shipping.
After that the customer service offers me third option: item could be still send back to me. Naturally I asked more info about this and the reply:
"Please answer if you want this package return or abandon. I am not
Going to sit here and argue with you back and forth. If you do not
Give me an answer I will requests the shipping company to abandon this
Package."
Why in world do they offer different options if they are not avaible? And also, my request to pay the shipping cost was totally ignored.
This is only one example about their bad customer service. Once I noticed that one of the boxes I received had a hole in it. I asked the customer service if they would fix the box before sending. I didn't get reply but I was told that I should ask this from packing: it would cost 8,5 dollars (it was special request). So I asked and the reply: If the box is broken, they will always fix them before shipping.
Why couldn't customer service told me that?!
So, Shipito works just fine if you never have to ask anything about customer service. If you have to, you are in trouble. Also recommend: Try checking their own forum about customer service messages. Most of those haven't even gotten reply.

I have signed up. Everything looked OK. I made my first order from EU store to Austrian address. It arrived. It was still OK. I have created shipping request to my home address and made a deposit with Bitcoin.
Next day, instead of shipping, they have frozen my account and asked for 2 ID documents. They didn't want to answer why. I understand that companies are sometimes afraid of credit card fraud, and ask for additional verification, but I have made a deposit with Bitcoin (no fraud, no chargeback possible!).
Again, I asked for explanation why do they need my documents and answer was "because your account was flagged for review".
Not 1, but 2 documents. No explanation why. And I need to upload it to their ticket system and they will keep it safe... Sorry, but no. I was thinking for a few days and said no, I refuse it, please send shipment back to merchant and refund my deposit.
Now, they don't want to refund me to Bitcoin:"I am sorry but we do not offer bitcoin refund, we can only refund it via paypal."
I'm sorry, but I don't accept PayPal. I have made a deposit with Bitcoin and I want refund in Bitcoin. I do not offer PayPal to Bitcoin exchange service, and if I would it would have high fees and you would have to provide me with at least 3 IDs.
I don't care any more. No need to refund me. Keep the package, keep the deposit. It's loss I can live with and I would rather lose it all then providing you with 2 IDs that will once you get hacked be sold on deep web. I don't need to live with that stress. Just to warn other members. If you need EU address, there are many more companies. I haven't tried them all, but they can't be worse then this one.
