First time using and stressed about wrapping. Packing and particularly collection ( they gave us all day time frame) we were in apartment block on holidays in spain. However friendly irish man at the pub next door held onto them until collection so all good and everything arrived home safely and on time. I would appreciate if a phone call or text from driver could be arranged as it would be easier to plan collection
My son studied abroad in eastern France last summer. He traveled after his semester was up and had to get most of his belongings home. He signed up online, followed the directions, the pick up went smoothly and I received his luggage on our doorstep 2 days later. Great service!
Basically, it transpires that this "service" is just a front end stapled onto FedEx. So, my bags are ten days late, and all outreach to sendmybags just results in them telling me fedex won't tell them what's going on. Absolutely no way forward, and I am not convinced that waiting will help, the bags have cleared customs, so if someone doesn't actually collect them, I don't know what I can do?
Paid $570 for a single box to be shipped from Australia to the UK. The box was delivered UNSIGNED for on the WRONG date, whilst I was out of the country on holiday. I was on the phone for over an hour whilst on holiday trying to get the delivery team to pick the package up as I was out the country, but this could not be arranged on Friday afternoon or over the weekend.
Thankfully no one stole it over the weekend and it was picked up Monday afternoon. It was then redelivered on the correct date but again completely UNSIGNED for - I was home all day and the delivery driver just left it outside and didn't knock. The courier HQ acknowledged there was never any signature for the package on either day, which apparently never usually happens but there was no explanation was given.
I complained to Send My Bag, who took more than 2 weeks to get back to me. They then offered me a $40 refund (from a total cost of $570). I said this didn't feel like enough for pretty bad service I wouldn't have used for free, which they ignored and sent me $40.
I don't usually complain but overall was a useless service causing me a lot of stress, as my belongings could easily have been stolen twice, and I was refunded 7% and an 'sincere apology'.

Send My Bag promised 2-3 day delivery from the USA to EU. It's been several weeks and still no hope of delivery.
SMB has you complete all sorts of paperwork and forms with the promise of handling everything from there.
However, for the first shipment, DHL later contacted me and demanded multiple pieces of paperwork, and a handwritten inventory list in spite of the fact that I provided all of this information already to SMB. Further, DHL kept emailing me again and again stating that my paperwork was wrong or missing. Mind you, I'm in a new country, with limited access to things (since they were PACKED and shipped). I've made multiple trips to a print shop. Luckily I had a translator.
For the 2nd shipment, SMB gave DHL NOTHING whatsoever. DHL contacted them for more information, and SMB completely ignored them. After contacting DHL for about the 5th time, they finally disclosed this issue, and then told me I had to receive and return the paperwork immediately or risk my items being returned to the States!
What is even the purpose of SMB? DHL has been such a hassle, I may as well have gone with them directly and paid less. SMB has done absolutely nothing except hand off all responsibility and refuse to help.
On top of all of this, SMB emailed me and said my boxes were oversized, demanding more money. Mind you, these are standard box sizes. Not some boxes I created. The sizes are printed directly on them.
Save yourself the trouble. Don't bother, SMB is worthless as a service.
This booking went very well apart from a delay outwards at Penzance which Send my Bag sorted.out.

I host exchange students who, at the end of their exchange year, often need to send more stuff home than when they came. We used SendMyBag this year to send a bike and some other things back to Europe. Overall, it was an easy experience. The price didn't end up being much cheaper than USPS or FedEx, but the items arrived safely and on time.
Answer: Scam, additional charges added, no explanation and letters of demand following, this is not an ethical business.
Answer: Avoid sendmybag if you can Would give a negative rating if I could. Had 2 bags delivered, they lost one and damaged the other. On top of that are now refusing to process a claim. I have read other reviews to know they do this on a regular basis. Companies like this shouldn't be allowed to operate. 0 marks for doing there job and a definite negative on customer support.
