Sales people don't ask if you belong to MVC. MOST RESALE COMPANIES WON'T TAKE THE LISTING UNLESS YOU DO. Customer service is arrogant...will not allow you to talk with supervisor. SMTN charges $3,000 for a listing. If you can once reach a supervisor they won't return your phone call. EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE!
Using the services of SMTN was a big mistake. I put my timeshare for sale with the lowest price of all the ads that were posted and did not have any luck. My ad had been there for quite a while. I went back to the website and saw there were ads posted with a lower amount than I was selling for, one ad posted their timeshare for a dollar. I called SMTN and told them this was not working and I wanted a refund. I was they could not do that. I would like an HONEST report of their successes with selling these timeshares. If they don't sell many or any and they know what they are doing does not work, but keep doing it. Then in my opinion, that is stealing.
If you want never-ending spam for the rest of your life, give these people an email address.
They are a real estate company that charges up front for marketing your timeshare. They don't really care if it sells or not - they make their money but convincing owners to pay them to put it on the market.
They will happily tell you how valuable your timeshare is *even if its been bulldozed* and offer to sell if for you. For a price, of course. In my case, they wanted $2000. Pay them and they'll put it on the market.
As a seller, I have a problem selling worthless property and their persistant spam after I've told them "NO!"
Buyers had better beware as well. Would you like to buy my timeshare? Picture attached.
They pretend to take all info and give you an offer right away, then they will tell you that unfortunately they can't help further for any reason and ask some fees to advertise it to sell fast. Drop the line immediately! This is their number +1 *******650
Sell my timeshare now.Scam! Make it sound great, add looks great then months go by no offers, tell you to drop price. Sell it on your own and don't want to refund any money and still never take your add down it's has been a year since I've sold own my own ad is still listed. Save your money
We decided to sell our Las Vegas timeshare after having owned it for 41 years. Everything went well with the transaction but the problem was that it took 8 months from start to finish. I was told originally that it would take up to 120 days but it was much longer. Is it because we reside in Canada and extra paper work may have been required? Also we had to wait for the sellers to send in their required information. But all in all we were quite satisfied with the service and we were updated on what the next step should be. Also make sure you have all the required documents
Sell my time share now doesn't sell or rent anything. Listed for over a year and nothing. They claimed to have sold multiple timeshares at my resort sent me comps. Or what I thought were sold properties. When I inquired further they said they were simply an advertising company. Bad business. Beware scam artist.
Nobody is helpful at all, you're better off keeping your money and advertising it on Facebook or paying a little more and get an attorney to break your contract. They only advertise on their website, you have to make updates yourself for it to be noticed or it goes to the bottom/back of the list. They do not sell timeshares as they told me after I paid, they advertise. They don't give you any information as to who is interested to negotiate selling your timeshare, they provide a generic email that honestly they probably just make up. After 2 years of nothing, they are now pawning me off to timeshare attorneys and having them call me.
Sellmytimesharenow is worthless
Learn from me: if you want to offload your timeshare, just write the company and let them know! You won't receive any money but you'll be rid of it for good!
Sell My Timshare Now is the biggest ripoff around! They charge $1200 to list your timeshare. You sign the contract and never hear from them again.
I received an "offer" of $500 for my timeshare. I declined, but then decided I just wanted to get rid of it. I accepted the offer and never heard from the broker again. I think they send these lowball offers so they can say that you ARE receiving offers. I ended up writing a letter to my timeshare company and told them I wanted out. I didn't receive anything on my "investment" but at least I don't have those horrific maintenance fees hanging over my head anymore.
Pie in the sky expectations for values just to get you to post your timeshare on their sight so they can collect big upfront fees, well over what the competition charges.
"Jose" persuaded me to list my TS points (at Welk Resorts) for $12,000. Of course they wanted a $1800 fee up front to list it. But he had a good pitch so I went along with it. Later exploring their site I realized that when I searched for listings just like mine there we about 70 of them, and half of them were $1.00-$5,000 so why would someone pay me $12,000 for mine? So Jose tried to tell me that the lower priced ones had loans the buyer had to assume (gee why is that not disclosed in the ads for said listings?) So I then made an inquiry on buying the listing for $1 and asked if it had a loan, I was told no, because if there was it would be disclosed in the listing. The one for a $1 clearly had been on there for awhile and it was the same deal I have and had not sold. So realizing I had been hustled I exercised my right to cancel the contract. I was told someone would call me in a day or two to "explain my options" (what options? I am cancelling). That prompted me to dispute the credit card charge. I have still not had the promised call (2 mos now) but they have not disputed the charge back. Funny think is my listing is still visible, so I wonder how many of these listings are "real". Hyatt is buying out Welk so perhaps I will have more options and just try and use the thing. These people are a scam, run dont walk.
Long story short: after buying into the SMTN through one of their sales reps who assured me SMTN could sell my timeshare after providing them a few thousand dollars. I originally applied a price advised by SMTN for our timeshare. After an extended time I dropped the price to zero just to be done with the situation. I subsequently discovered through coordination with my timeshare company that there was NO WAY SMTN could sell my timeshare, only the timeshare company itself could sell it and I was told SMTN knew that prior to me being duped into their scam. I contacted the timeshare company and they allowed me to sell back to them our timeshare for a fee of $750. If I had known I could have done this earlier, I would have saved myself about $2000. Copy of our SMTN contract available in a PDF file that won't load on this site
They signed me up 3 years ago with an over $1500 fee upfront. No offers, no advice no sale and no nothing.
Gave my time share to sellpaid the high fees its been over 6 months never heard from them thats strange! Will wait one week and go further
They use deceptive practices to earn your business. When I was thinking about signing up they mentioned it was likely to sell in 6 months and it's been a year. Every time I call for an update all they recommend is for me to drop the price. They don't market or do much else but list it on their website and the won't give you your money back.
Answer: No it's still listed I'm still an owner with login
