The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among sellers, primarily due to inadequate customer support and a frustrating user experience. Common concerns include long response times, unresolved issues, and a lack of tailored assistance, leading many to consider leaving the platform. While some sellers acknowledge the potential for sales, the overwhelming sentiment is one of frustration with the outdated interface and poor communication. This feedback suggests a pressing need for improvements in support training and system functionality to enhance seller satisfaction and retention.

While people don't make single penny on amazon, they fool others selling courses showing them big sales, But the funny thing is there is no profit at all, as amazon takes big chunk and then add expenses and cost. The BIGGEST DISSAPOINTMENT and this is the reason I am going to stop selling on amazon, is now amazon offers free return to the customers, and sellers are forced to pay for the return label, so the few pounds profits we make has now turned into LOSS. This encourage the buyer to make return comfortably and my returns has increased by 70% so basically whatever u sell, a lot of people use it for their pictures and events and return the products and that cost them nothing but seller loose the money. I don't know what is amazon purpose but clearly amazon is not interested in sellers making any money as they sell products themselves.
I recently bought a book for my teenaged kid about Astronomy from Amazon as I have been an Amazon customer since 2012 onwards. The book was priced at ₹ 550 and a discounted price was shown as ₹ 368/-. When I received the book, I was shocked and surprised to see the book carrying an MRP price tag showing its price as ₹ 199/-. I took this up Amazons Customer Service team, but as usual I received a lengthy apologetic email and nothing happened after that.
Now that same book is priced at ₹ 499/-
This is not the first such instance happening with me and every time they just send an apologetic email and close the issue.
Strange and Pathetic policies they have as they are trying hard to increase their supplier or seller base and not identifying such fraudulent and deceitful suppliers and getting them shredded from their website
Account was deactivated for missing information. WHAT INFORMATION - you ask. I have no idea, Amazon refuses to tell me! I have resubmitted everything, in itemized format; asked what is missing and I get the same poorly written cut and past response that some information is missing - and never identifying what is missing.
This is a scam.
Amazon is an abusive company with sellers. You can have 110% of the reason and a customer a -0% and Amazon will give the customer the reason as it wants. If you are a seller, you are going to lose money, patience and your time at Amazon. There are thousands of customer aids and NOTHING help for a salesperson. If you want to have a business or want to grow your existing business, DO NOT THINK ABOUT AMAZON SELLER, because you are going to lose!
The model they use for " customer service" is abhorent. They skinniness phone contact, refer every issue to seller central forum, require you make a ticket, then the workers/ algorythms just paste a standard printed response and close the ticket as answered. You're required to read tons of printed patented data for even a glimmer of information. The big sellers may get support but the average seller is totally disregarded and disrespected. I'm ready when torte suit comes, please reach out.
Hi everyone,
I've created an individual seller account 3 months ago. Before this, I've asked someone from customer service about charging issue they told me that if I create a professional account they will charged me once but if I switch my account to individual they will refund me. I did it and I switched my account in 2 days after. Now, it has been 3 months and they are still charging me and when I try to reach them by e-mail they send me always some links doesnt make sense. I can't reach them by phone. I really need help about this.
Amazon Seller Center is unstable system full of technical issues and defects. Duplicate functions and entry points causes data corruption to the products and listing, and when you contact the support, they reply with standard reply and not even try to investigate the issue or escalate it to IT support. Furthermore, they wont admit it's a system mistake in order not to create any liabilities on Amazon.
Issues are never resolved with Amazon Seller Central, and it's very hard to find some one who is willing to help. I have had a case, which took more than 50 back and forth, and 90% were repeating the same thing. They work like dumb robots and all what they care about is to close the case on time and meet their personal SLAs. They give you a chance of rating the response, but thats just a technique to absorb the customer frustration, as no one actions on them.
Amazon is a massive entity that does not care about small or third-party businesses and will not treat you like a partner. If you join amazon you will regret it, don't listen to those online scammers about it being easy. Amazon will bully a frustrate you with their metrics, constant policy changes, and plan of action. And if you don't comply they will shut you down and seize all your funds until they are satisfied or when you say what they want to hear. And with all their different departments that never seem to work together or talk to each other, good luck finding out what that is.
Worse please to sell. Its only good for Chinese sellers, commission to high, regulations just crazy, One company add same product, and its already brand name :) and you cans sell it. Do not waist your time. The seller is not protected. Buyers return amity boxes and Amazon giving them money back. And bigger problem, its not contact with Amazon. They are the gods, and you are the bogs, they not want you call them or contact to the,
And for amazon prime, you can only have free shipping for a garbage items, good items you always pay for shipping.
They advertise to you like it's so easy. I have been jumping hurdles here, there and everywhere. I ordered products from China to New Zealand to check before I sent them to an FBA. Great, they have video tutorials, but they don't tell you everything, like how to pack products in the same box. So I put them in separate boxes, but the postal services don't like the shipping labels. I say screw it and decide to order more straight from the supplier to the FBA. But my supplier is getting angry with me asking a million questions before I pay because they won't give me a feckin address before they know the box size, weight and it's maiden name. And now I've gone back to it after finally getting the box dimensions, they want them packed in separate boxes. Amazon, you're getting them in the same box whether you like it or not. I've spent hundreds of dollars try to start this off, if Amazon is so successful, why can't it understand ease of use!? You want my advice? Don't bother, go to Shopify, or eBay, or Facebook. You'd be better off selling cookies in the street, because I haven't got a whiff of a penny yet.
5 WEEKS IN AFTER SENDING ALL OF MY PRODUCT TO AMAZON I CREATED A REMOVAL ORDER TO GET THE HELL OUT OF THIS ABSOLUTE RIPOFF! OF A COMPANY. I SELL ORGANIC VITAMIN PRODUCTS THROUGH EBAY AND OTHER OUTLET AND AM KILLING IT. AMAZON WASTED MY TIME COST ME MONEY AND LOST PRODUCT. STAY THE FK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL REAP THE LOSSES MANY OTHER SELLERS HAVE. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
The experience of selling on Amazon is by quite a long way the most frustrating and badly designed experience I've ever had online. It's hard to know where to start. Nothing is intuitive, the UX flow seems to take you round in circles and if you can finally find how to raise a ticket, the support is terrible. Sometimes after two or three responses you might get a helpful reply, but you'll be pulling your hair out in frustration in the meantime.
Amazon claim to be obsessively customer-focussed, but it's a shame they arrogantly abuse their near-monopoly position and don't appreciate sellers as customers.
I am a seller on Amazon for 2 years, I racked it up all the earnings from Amazon, and I realized that my income is even less than a regular job due to so many scams refunds or abusing on the return policy, I sold Brand new sealed Canon ink and Philips shaver via FBA and end up customer return with a empty ink cartridge and a used Philips shaver with lots of hair inside, which Amazon approved them for refund (Total loss on me), after that I changed to sell on FBM with a 20% restocking chargers if return, then there is another problems comes out, new buyers still want to return so I took off 20% restocking chargers then everyone left a negative feedback for charging them 20%, after that Amazon warn me on my account health, although I call Amazon for help and explain to them but they don't care, they told me to work with customers! So I should work with customer to steal my ink and free test on the shaver then offer them refund or partial refund? To be a Seller on Amazon, it is totally unfair, unless you want to participate the crime with buyer, this is what Amazon wants to see, and now I am changing my strategy, I buy things and Ink from amazon after used I returned it, I have free ink to use every month regardless of how much of the price or 20% restocking chargers, I am still winning or maybe is free, all of my friends are also doing the same as we are the buyer that Amazon care the most. This is truly working strategy as being tested for 3 months
Created selling account, sent in all my product after the Rep told me my product would ship out 2 day Prime shipping. Once they set it all up shipping shows as 10 day shipping, they absolutely wasted my time and money! Pretty pissed off about now
I could not recommend Amazon Seller Central to anybody. I spent six months, paying seller fees, only to get the runaround by staff constantly. I have several pages of cases which were opened and closed during those six months and amazon not paying for sales any money to for more than 6 months and they owe me £10k of my hard earned money,
They just make excuses in the name of review of account and every month ask for one or the other information and don't complete review process and hold your money for no reason
Persistently incorrect advice, conflicting advice, and incomprehensible advice is de rigueur. Staff do not help, they simply want to get rid of you as fast as possible.
If you're thinking about selling on Amazon I would strongly advise NO and please save your time and money,
I barely opened my seller account and they started charging me seller fees right off the bat with no proper induction and they kept suspending my account for no rhyme or reason despite providing them all the information. Super fraudulent and incorrigible. Their platform is a scam. Their customer service is rubbish. The whole concept of Amazon seller account is a scam.
They waste your time. Feeding you generic information that you already know. Amazon Seller Central Customer Service has 1/9 knowledge compared to the seller.
All they need is your money, they dont care how to empathize, be genuine and helpful when sellers need help SMH. Even here when I tried to leave reviews they give me a hard time. Totally waste of money and time
Last October 2020 Amazon suspended our Seller Central Account down after 6 years of our hard work to try and comply to all their rules. They gave us no real reason why. Just a possibility of a a few choices but could not explain. They said we could send an appeal.
We did so but had no response and zero correspondence to our several emails. They have $20k that they owe us a d they have Over $120k of our inventory at cost locked away in their FBA Warehouse. It has been since Oct 15,2020. We have sent several emails and have had Zero response. Is this legal for them to rob us of our rights and our
Money and goods? Has anyone had similar
Situation with Amazon. Please reach out.
Absolutely terrible back end system, they haven't even got a native HTML editor for product descriptions! I've had to raise so many cases to customer support for numerous issues with their platform. It amazes me how there are any products listed on amazon. I've found the whole platform to be extremely frustrating to use and i thought ebay was bad! Wait until you try and use Amazon. If i could leave less than 1 star i would
Answer: If I was you I will stop everythings involving with Amazon and find others platforms to sell my products. Usually it takes 2-3 weeks under reviews. In your case 46 days it means there is a probleme. But this is only the 1st problems tons will come, TONS.
Answer: Jeff@amazon.com I would complain to the AG for Washington and copy Customer service. Worst case (if you can) set up a new bank account. You will be extremely lucky if you get a real person to speak with you. Good luck.
