Wont stand by product

I ordered 4 motorized blinds for my yacht. Within 6 months one of the motors stopped working. This company says the warranty is good for 3 years. Don't believe them. They won't stand behind their product. I filed a claim and was denied. They said I needed to send a video of the reason it won't work.
ITS NOT WORKING! Stay away from this company. To many others out there that stand by what they sell.

I ordered 8 shades from they totaling over $2K. One shade was missing the end cap, not allowing me to install it. I've requested the part 4 times and I'm still waiting for it. The first time it supposedly lost in the mail, second time nothing ever provided, third time they sent the wrong part, and I'm still waiting after my fourth request, it was approved but nothing has been shipped yet. It's been almost 2 months from the time of my initial order. I won't be ordering anything else from them.

Garish color & Popping noises

We ordered all our blinds from Select Blinds for our entire home in one transaction after ordering samples. We laid our woodwork piece atop their samples and it looked like "Moon glow" was a perfect match…. Until they're up on your windows and it becomes apparent that the sample color containing only 5 pleats didn't show what happens on a full sized window upon raising the shades… suddenly a garish cartoon-like yellow is striped across your windows! It completely clashed with everything. Of course there's no returns after they looked into my complaint. I furnished them pictures of our woodwork with their tiny sample, which looked fine and a picture of the shades up with the cartoon yellow. They offered a slight discount which was basically what we paid in the first place.
Another thing I dislike is how you can only raise and lower their blind by pressing and holding the button in the exact middle of the bottom rail. Others blinds I've owned allow you to grab anywhere on the bottom rail and move up or down, this is a huge inconvenience for our large picture window behind our couch. And it makes a large popping noise upon pressing.
Never again will I order from Select Blinds.

Money Recovery

Losses to scam are products of mistakes and we all make mistakes. The important step is what we do afterwards, the decisions we make after will either move us forward or hold us back. Waste of time, twice!

I ordered wood blinds and expected to have them in about a week. A month later, I still didn't have them. I called customer service and was assured that they'd be shipping in a few days. I NEVER received a notification but upon checking my order status, they were backorder for a month! I decided to wait, since I wasn't in a hurry.
Another month went by and still NOTHING! Select Blinds had not notified me that they were on backorder indefinitely!
I finally canceled the order. I called customer service BEFORE placing an order for a different blind and was told that the materials were in stock. 2 weeks later, they STILL ARE NOT IN PRODUCTION! Meanwhile, I was supposed to have them tomorrow! This company is a joke! They obviously do NOT have the inventory to fulfill their orders and don't even care to update Ethridge site to reflect this, before waste their time placing an order. I will NEVER order from this company again!

Bad customer service
March 10, 2022

Due to website glitch my order arrived incorrect, i call the customer service they do not take returns because the order was placed online, the best they would do is charge me another $400 for the correct blinds, and will not take other ones back for a refund which is unacceptable, so would cost me $1200 for 4 blinds.

I have purchased many blinds from Select Blinds and to be fair, the blinds have been great however, the controller they advertise was NOT what I got. I ordered the NEO controller but what I received was one that I can buy at Walmart.com for $39.00. I talked to customer service several times and while they will refund my money, they are making me pay for return shipping. It's not the money I'm concerned with but rather the fact they won't admit fault in false advertising and sending an inferior product to the one they are advertising. Bad business and bad customer service.

Update…. I was finally contacted through this review by the company and through several messages and explanations, they refunded most of my money and changed their website to reflect the controller they are now selling. I guess reviews do work! I ended up retuning their controller and bought another off Amazon that works much better.

The price is over double the last time I purchased the same blinds.

I gave a review of 1 star because the price of my blinds went from $30 each to $75. I kind of freaked out.

The reality is, not having to go to multple stores shopping when time is tight and being able to order the blinds at like 3am when I have some time is very helpful. The fact that they make it easy for someone like me, who can't measure anything accurately, to actually get the blinds I want and have them fit and make me look like I know what I am doing is such a fantastic relief. I am confident I will always use Selectblinds and recommend them to anyone that asks. A little stress relief in a busy life is huge! Thank you for what you do for us SelectBlinds!

The reality is SelectBlinds is super easy for idiots like me. I love this site because I can order what I need and get what I want without having to spend hours shopping various stores. I had to order my blinds at like 3am because of lack of time. SelectBlinds helps me relieve some of the stress in my life by making sure I get it done right the first time. That is so HUGE! I'm sorry if some people think they had to wait too long to get their order. If they would try ordering just about anything right know they will find they have to wait. I ordered windows and had to wait 6 months! Get over it. Place your order and forget about it. Your order will just show up and if you did your part right you will get what you wanted. As far as pricing goes, my windows were like 10 times what I thought they would be. I need to get over that too!

Very good blinds

Great blinds so far. Summer heat will tell if they warp.
Onlky gave 4 stars because I was called and told blinds were backordered. I said cancel order.
They said. Well I cant guarantee they will be canceled. 2 days later they arrived.
All good though, I needed them. But dont sell blinds if you dont have blinds ready to be made.

I LOVE MY BLINDS

Select Blinds make it so easy to measure and order blinds for your home. I chose Select Blinds after seeing me daughter's new blinds and getting her recommendation on the quality of the blinds and their customer service. I did have a question on my shipping as some blinds kind of got stuck in the shipping system. I called Select Blinds and they said they would call and find out for me and get right back. This person DID call me right back and let me know what was going on. I also had 1 MINOR issue and they again were right on it. I cannot say enough about how GREAT their customer service is! This is a business THAT CARES about their customers and will go the extra mile to make them happy.

I ordered $800 worth of blinds, 2 were the wrong size, way too big. I called them and they told me I would have to take pictures and email them, which I did. I did everything they asked except stand on my head. I have fibro and it was really painful for me to take pictures of the blinds, windows and then the boxes with labels inside marked with the incorrect sizes. The pictures weren't good enough and they then told me to take them out of the box and take pictures. I told them I was done. They refused to do the right thing and send me the correct blinds or refund my money. I still can't believe it. I now have to buy them again. Shop ANYWHERE but here.

Exemplary customer service.

We purchased some shades from SelectBlinds for two bedrooms. We were pleased with the look, fit, and ease of installlation. Unfortunately, one shade was defective, broke a suspension cord, was no longer functional, and we had not retained our purchase information, order #, etc. We decided to order a different window covering that was somewhat sturdier. When asked to rate my experience on that purchase I was still steaming about the broken shade and was less than laudatory in my one star comments. To my surprise, I received an email and text message from Brian Royston at SelectBlinds asking me to contact him. I did so, and after I explained my poor rating, Brian went out of his way to find my order and replace the defective shade at no cost to me. I highly recommend SelectBlinds for quality, affordability, and especially, exceptional customer service!

Quality issues

I received my Select blinds after Fed ex held them up for more than a month. Once installed, it is obvious that the vertical blind slats were made from clearly different lots of material, as they didn't match color or texture, and when closed the light from outside highlights the 4 slats very clearly that are different. See picture

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

I recently purchased a Designer Blackout vertical panel track blind from this company. Pictures on the website show that the panels lie flat against each other and reviews state the blind provides privacy from the neighbors. This is far from the case. There is over a 1/2" gap between the tracks on which each panel is hung allowing anyone looking in from the outside to see into the room There is no privacy at all. The company is refusing a refund because the blind was made correctly. Never mind that the pictures on the website are deceptive as to how the blind actually funcations. Unless you are willing to lose any money you spend with Select Blinds, do not make a purchase from them.

It would not be hard for this company to make good on the one blind that isn't working for me…now I have wasted over $500 bcs they won't fix the one blind.
Also, please read their fine print so called guarrantee-it's a total scam. You can deal with a better company elsewhere. Hate this company and hope it goes under.

BUYER BEWARE

Blinds arrived broken. Sent SelectBlinds pics of broken blinds. They said they would remake. I didn't want remake of same blinds (or any other type) as they were poor quality and customer service has been terrible. They told me to wait 24-48 hrs for their "decision". Waited over 48 hrs, heard nothing. Second call, again told to wait 48 hrs for their decision. I waited a week, heard nothing. Third call, again told to wait 48 hrs for their decision. This time rep said they don't give refunds or accept returns as they only do that in special circumstances. I didn't see that policy on site but they likely put it in small print in an inconspicuous place. It's certainly not made obviously apparent at time of order. Also, it doesn't sound legal to sell a broken, poor quality product and force customers to buy it. Thank goodness I didn't order blinds for the entire house as was the original plan. I would have been stuck for thousands rather then the close to $200 I'm dealing with now.

Poor customer service

We ordered and received our blinds two months ago, minus the adjusting wand. I've called and used their chat room twice to get the rod and both times they said it was "on the way" Still have not received it. I saw that they're rated in seventh place as far as blind companies go. I would NOT recommend them!
