Update: SeatGeek did ultimately provide a refund to my original form of payment. Having said that, it took a post to Twitter to have them honor their word.

I was shopping for tickets in two cities. Somehow one city was charged to my credit card without me finalizing the purchase. SeatGeek said they would refund to my original form of payment but processed it as a credit for future purchase. They admitted they have it on a recorded line that they offered me a refund to the original form of payment but will not correct the transaction.

Invalid Ticket

Bought a 220$ Ticket 2 rows behind home plate In the diamond club to see Phillies-Dodgers. When I got to the park, my ticket was scanned and it said Invalid. After many phone calls and emails, and waiting around for over 2 hours. Alex from Fan Exchange or Seat Geek helped contact the seller and he was able to meet me by 7:05 with the actual tickets from the Phillies. What if this guy couldn't have met me? I would have been out of luck. After reading other reviews I see this is a common thing to happen with SeatGeek. I will now gladly pay the extra 25-50$ on stubhub so this kind of thing never happens. I advise you to do the same. Stick with stubhub.

Rude Customer Service
September 22, 2019

Had trouble getting tickets on app after purchase. Chatted with rep online and was advised to use another ticket agency after my credit card was charged $1000 or wait 24 hrs to see if charges went through. Asked to speak to a supervisor and rep ended my chat without resolution. 30 minutes after being hung up on without resolution my tickets came through. Had I gone to another ticket agency I would of had double the tickets. Wasn't impressed. I will use another ticket agency next time.

Easy process!

Fast and easy transaction! Went to two games and sat in two different areas. For the first game, I added to my calendar and didn't like the way it kept giving me alerts even after the game was over. Didn't add to my calendar for the second game because that was annoying. Otherwise a great experience and my team won! Go Rockies!

Do Not Use Seatgeek

Purchased tickets to an event on 9/7/18. Event date was 12/7/18 and the tickets were confirmed to be delivered on or before 12/5/18. As of the writing of this review, we still do not have the tickets. Have made multiple calls to Seatgeek and told the same thing. They don't have the tickets and don't know when the seller will provide the tickets, but just keep waiting. After my most recent call, they have refused to provide either a refund or comparable tickets even though they have already violated their confirmation agreement. To sum it up, we paid for tickets that they will not provide to us. DO NOT USE SEATGEEK.

Amazing Experience!

My first purchase on Seatgeek could not have gone smoother. I purchased seats for Ed Sheeran about 6 months ago off of the site, and was a little bit worried about the legitimacy of the tickets based off of some of the reviews that I've read. Seatgeek was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, answered all of my questions in a timely matter while simultaneously easing my worries about fraudulent tickets. We even received an unexpected seat upgrade a few days before the show (to the 10th row!). The in-app tickets were a breeze, and we had an absolutely amazing time at the show last night. Huge props to this company and their awesome customer service. They've gained a lifelong customer.

I purchase to tickets for Valentines Day for Andrea Bocelli in 10/22/2017 thinking i be the 1st. To get my tickets & when i got to gate at Amalie Arena i told by agent the tickets were no GOOD! What a crap of $#*! when i call them they said there going to; look in to it? I paid 486.00 for these 2 seats & i hope i could get my money back or it's to small claims court!

BEST APP = BEST PRICES

SeatGeek provides great service. Seat choices are excellent too. The biggest difference for me is that the prices just blow the other apps away. Just bought 2 tickets for 50% of what the "other" seat app wanted... no contest, SeatGeek is #1

My event that was scheduled March 30th, 2020, was cancelled due to COVID 19. The website clearly states that in this case, you would receive a 100% refund. Its July 21,2020, and no refund.
Never again.

Fast, easy and a great deal!

I have used SeatGeek for a few ticket purchase and have always gotten a better deal than friend who attended the same shows but used another ticket app. Never had any issues with using the tickets like I had with other sites.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. Purchased tickets through the seatgeek site, they delivered the tickets in another app (ticketmaster) and refused to refund or help or do anything once I realized they sent the wrong tickets. On the same note, ticketmaster refused to help since the tickets came from seatgeek. Seems like they mutually benefited from this inter-company transaction, and neither company was willing to work with me AT ALL. Seems shady all around.

After placing your order with us on 1/6/2020 you reached out via email admitting that you had "accidentally purchased tickets for the wrong day" and asking for a cancellation. This wasn't a situation where we sent the incorrect tickets your way, and in the rare event that a system error causes issues with an order our users would be protected by our Buyer Guarantee.

Though we can sympathize with the mistake, and understand how easy it is to see "Vegas Golden Knights at Montreal Canadiens" and assume that the Knights were hosting, SeatGeek is a platform that connects buyers with ticket sellers. We don't hold inventory, so once an order is submitted to a vendor, we are unable to refund, cancel, or exchange it. The vendors we list also have a general policy that all sales are final.

I appreciate the promptness of your initial outreach. Because you noticed your error quickly, you could have listed the tickets for resale to try to recoup your money on this order. I had a great experience

Bought ridiculously cheap tickets from this site for a Norah Jones concert. Found tickets 3 days before the event after being directed to the site by an acquaintance. Paid 1/3 of what the venue charged. I'm sure that price was because of the proximity of the concert dates and the seats had not been sold. Scored 3rd row center seats! Easy peasy process. I don't know what hassles the other reviewers experienced, but my experience was excellent!

Great idea, poor execution. Basically a kayak.com for tickets in the secondary market. Unfortunately it doesn't really work - I tried to search for Book of Morman tickets and the search engine only showed 3 dates for the next month, whereas a quick check with stubhub shows there are secondary markets for all dates.

Terrible service

I highly recommend not to use this company.

StubHub and Ticketmaster are far better. I got the worst service ever and was lied to repeatedly. I purchased a ticket on 9 Oct for an event on the 22 of Oct. I never got my ticket. After 15 emails back and forth and at least 6 phone calls I got fed up and demanded a refund that I haven't received yet. I was told I would have it so many times I knew it was a lie before they even said it. I have email proof where I was told I would get it and it was a lie. I was told we would call you back in 4-5 hours never to get a call back. It was terrible. I went on Ticketmaster and got my ticket within 5 minutes. Seat geek is trash and i will not use it again. Deleted that app immediately. Now I want my refund. DO NOT USE THEM.

I wish there was an option for Zero Stars.

Not integrated with sellers/suppliers

I purchased 2 different orders of the highest rated tickets SeatGeek rated only to receive an email the next day from the seller notifying me that they couldn't fulfill my orders. When I called the seller (not SeatGeek, despite purchasing it through their platform) they told me that their supplier had already sold the tickets, or simply chose not to fill the order.

Extremely poor user experience - I'll stick to stubhub.

We know it's important that you have total confidence in any purchase you make on our site, and in any case that any of our sellers can't provide the tickets you ordered-- for any reason-- they're required to provide you with upgraded or equivalent tickets, or a refund at 120% of what you paid. Looking into the purchase you cite above, I don't see any notes about the seller being unable to provide your tickets, which is aberrant; any seller of ours that is unable to fulfill the order as listed is required to go through us to get a resolution with the customer. If this hasn't been the case, then we definitely need to follow up with both you and this seller to make sure you're taken care of.

There are several things we would love to discuss with you regarding this situation to make sure we get you taken care of as quickly and completely as possible. App issues and too many steps

I learned about seatgeek from the Bill Simmons podcast so I have tried it twice. The switching from seatgeek to AXS was annoying the first time but I understand why it happens.

This time the tickets showed up quickly, but when I transferred them they never arrived at their destination. I think the issue is with AXS, but I think they are one of your partners, right?

Best case is to have one app that can do it all.

Scam

They say you get a refund if the game is cancelled. My purchase game was cancelled. The team box office will not honor my tix for another game therefore rendering mine useless. After email snubs and a call with a agent who wouldn't even give me seatgeek credit, has taken money for a service not delivered. She tried to talk around my issue and reference company policy. Which is in my favor according to what the stipulations are. I provided documentation and a chance for them to provide "Customer Service" so I have useless tickets and no recompense?! Sounds like a scam to me.

Hello Mike, this definitely sounds like there might be some confusion here. Without having your exact order number, it's hard to provide completely accurate information. However, going from the information you've provided, it sounds like these might be tickets to a rained out MLB game that you're referring to. As SeatGeek is the secondary market, our sellers don't always have the option to provide refunds for exchanged games. For instance, if the original tickets are valid for the postponed game (regardless of the reschedule date) the seller will not be able to offer a refund. In the event that the game was cancelled and not rescheduled, or the game was rescheduled and the original tickets are not valid for the rescheduled date, we can definitely reach out to the seller to request a refund. The exact policy regarding refunds and exchanged differs depending on the specific team policy for each game, and there can be many different scenarios that need to be considered. Portland Thorns tickets
August 16, 2019

It was easy to purchase tickets to the match using the SeatGeek App. We were able to get good seats at a reasonable price. Sadly, the Thorns ended up in a draw... can SeatGeek guarantee a win next time?
