If you want to purchase DISAPOINTMENT, then please SCS is the go to company. Even the one star rating is way over the top. We cancelled our order due to the extremely poor dis-service this company was able to offer. Real comedy of error for 4 months. I intend to write a step by step guide of the incompetence of SCS upon my return from a short trip. SCS ruined my wife's Christmas and New Year.
Carpet was delivered end of roll
The carpet fitter told me the hessian was coming way from the carpet but he had to lay it as he wouldn't get paid but he would take pictures and tell head office and I should do the same with a lot of heated phone calls I did receive a full refund plus the cost of fitting it was not a cheap carpet at the which was over £600@ £27.00 a meter with there double discount lol which I find out they only paid £80 from the supplier
I also bought a 2 seater recliner and a one seater chair the switch on the chair no longer works and have been on order since 1st of August and still waiting that a 123 days to date even though I took out the 5 years insurance SO I WOULD NEVER BUY FROM THERE AGAIN this is been going on all of 2024 till now 26 November 24 still ongoing
Sofa keeps being delayed, ordered it on the 4th of July and we still don't have it. We had a delivery date sent via text, but just received another text this morning to say that it has been delayed again, with no other delivery date given. They haven't even explained why it has been delayed again. It should have been delivered by mid September. Absolutely fuming and do not recommend at all. I would suggest buying from another company and we certainly will never use them again!
I knew there excuse would be "in the contract you signed it stated four weeks either side blah, blah...", with absolutely no apology. It just further proves that you should use a different company to ScS.
What has annoyed us is that they keep delaying the sofa with no explanation and no apology. We have had to keep delaying our white van man that we've booked to get rid of our old sofa. It's all added stress that we don't need with a newborn baby!
If there was a way to give "0" stars, this is what I would pick. ScS have delivered the wrong sofa and are refusing to change it or accept any responsibility. The sofa that they insist that we ordered is so tall that my poor wife's feet don't even touch the floor. Despite visiting the showroom and showing them the one that we had ordered fits my wife and the one that they have delivered does not, they refuse to help and responded with a regional manager says "no" answer. I am a pensioner and this was a considerable some of money which we invested to help my wife's spinal condition. I am furious with their attitude and the absurdity of their insistence that we ordered a sofa that my wife can't get on and off easily. I have written to their customer services department but, consistent with their attitude to their customers, there has been no response.
Our carper was fitted so badly. The SCS assessor came out and said it us due to poor quality carpet! He also recommended that we take a pair of scissors and cut off the ends ourself. Our calls are never returned. My daughter fell down the stairs as it is loose and baggy. Awful
Ordered suite from Dundee store in August 22. After a few date changes it arrived in December we only found out about date changes by checking ourselves.Wrong material and wrong colour. After many phone calls (at least ten minute waits for an answer every time), the replacement arrived in April 23.wrong material and wrong colour.In fact,identical to the first one.long drawn saga to get money back and suite taken away. Finally took it away 30th may. The amount of times we were told it was resolved when it was not was totally unacceptable. Useless.
Issue with flooring that was supposed to have a 25 year wear guarantee. A technician came around to assess and said it was a fitting issue. Was then told by the store manager if it was a fitting issue it would have shown up a lot sooner than 4 years after being fitted. The store employee who we bought the product off also recommended the fitter. After numerous back and forth they have decided it's not their fault. Disgraceful customer service AVOID!
I purchased a corner suite from SCS and was told 3-4 months waiting, I paid and waited for my sofa to ve delivered.10 months on I had two wrong deliveries and eventually was delivered the correct one beginning of December. 2 weeks into February the seat cushions began to sink, so I called scs and they sent a specialist out who explained if they change the sponge it would only be the same as they only have one sort. I called and asked if I could perhaps go to a retailers here amd purchase some firmer sponges and could they compensate me as I had been messed around so much, he said they would get back to me. Up to date still no response so I called again only to be told they are not willing to compensate me. I cannot wholeheartedly recomend this shop as never get back you and hope you will give up trying. I am now having to escalate to ombudsman. So be very careful picking this company..
We have had furniture from SCS for many years so we went for flooring. Dont make our mistake. It seemed ok for 2-3 years then started falling apart. They sent an "engineer" who reported it to be ok. We are now tripping over the board edges. They are doing nothing to help and have a non effective customer service depertment. We now have to spend thousands again to replace it. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY FOR FLOORING

I'm not really one for cliches, but in this instance it's fitting. You get what you pay for - both in product and service!
They ordered the wrong colour, I pointed this out and it was changed. They STILL sent the wrong colour! I had to wait a further 4 weeks before the correct order was delivered - and then it was three days late in being fitted.
I was offered £85 in compensation for a £759 order! Insult!
Inconvenienced doesn't cover it!

Not impressed and would NOT recommend unless you want nothing but hassle! - they're VERY good at that!

They just don't care. I've now complained to Furniture Ombudsman who are looking into it. 8 months, yes 8 months they've had my money! I've nothing to show for it. Don't buy from SCS

We purchased carpet and underlay from SCS at the end of July. The carpet came and they fitted the wrong underlay. We finally got hold of SCS by actually going into store who said they would email us within 3 days as we were going on holiday. 3 WEEKS LATER after we went into store again to chase it we finally got a date to get underlay sorted. The underlay was then sorted in my living room and bedroom but not the landing as we specifically requested as SCS have apparently not approved this. The fitter was then told to come tomorrow and we've just had a call to say they can't do tomorrow either. We have been fobbed off so much and I am disgusted by the service we have received. Absolutely would not recommend. I've paid so much money for this carpet and am yet to receive what I asked for.
ScS is coning people every day from the minute you buy they lie to you con you, I was told several times free fitting on carpets when fitter arrived had to pay him or he said ill leave, sofas were faulty contacted scs they did not want to know ignore you mess you around they tell lies any think to not help you and leave you with faulty not fit for purpose sofas and carpets, the sofa you could feel wood digging into you carpet turned into holes within a week, court action to get money back if your reading this scs are a disgustingly vile company you should avoid, don't be fooled by there tv adverts that is the mistake my family did.
ScS sofas west midlands are a very bad company left my family with faulty carpets fake sofa lazy-boy they lie lie and lie more, mess you around play the blame game my family had to take them to court we won all our money back I would advise anyone to avoid these scs low lives like the plague.
First, just ordering a sofa was an absolute nightmare. I chose to pay in 2 with PayPal, and SCS too my first payment. But then decided to also take the full amount from my bank account.
That should have been the first sign. But then I got it sorted and all was fine, after a lot of hassle.
Planned a decorating job around our week off together. Ordered sofa and carpet. According to SCS the estimated dates were spot on with our plans. Now I find out that the sofa will arrive before the carpet, meaning a hassle. And both are going to be more than a week later than planned. Absolutely useless.
I understand a made to order couch. But I don't understand how it takes a month to cut off a piece of carpet. Other retailers I have looked at since can deliver within 3 days.
Avoid like the plague. And if you do use them, be prepared for a massive battle because customer service a joke. You will have to call. They ignore online chat and will NOT get back to you vai online contact forms.

Ordered a 3 piece several weeks ago and up till now it has been cancelled 4 times. A very unreliable company, quick enough to take your money but not quick enough to deliver. Will never use this Company again.
Purchased two leather chairs £2400, after about a year the colour fsded and leather sterted to crease, both scs and the insurance we took out refused to replace or repair chairs saying it was wear & tear, pathetic service stay away from this company.
Strange not going to the shop to sit on a sofa before buying, but buying it online was fine for us. Delivered when stated, delivery drivers were good men, very efficient and friendly and careful when bringing it into our home. Second recliner sofas from scs, and the quality is still very good. Our "old" sofas are still so good, that we gave them to a friend., who said they look as good as new. What more can I say.
We spent thousands of pounds when we relocated three years ago with SCS Basildon branch, to date we have we have no response in obtaining two replacement drawer handles, are they saying after three years scrap two Cruz sideboards and a tv cabinet? Which by the way are still current stock.
As it happened we were passing SCS suppliers of the Cruz furniture last Friday who are Kettle Interiors, Corby, Northants, they refused to see us using the excuse they were wholesale only. It's not looking good
