I was offered to take a customer survey and they offer a free gift. I did the survey and the free gift was a Dash Cam, which would be $6.95 S&H. But then they slipped in a $20 SD card which I was not able to refuse. That really pissed me off! Now a free gift cost me $26.94.
I'm leaving Sam's Club and going to Costco due to the dishonesty!

Credit card

The credit card though sams will auto renew your membership, difficult to cancel, spent 40 minutes on hold, suggestion, stay away from synchrony credit card though sams, sams store is okay if you buy enough to cover membership.

Was charged up on the scan and go but was not let go through the doors. Purchased 269. Worth of products. Went back tried to use cash register but i had already purchased items through scan n go. Left items in store and left. Notice i got charged on credit card a week later. Went in to store on Monday 7/17 and manager Zack Hossein said he had to look at cameras to give them a couple of days. I went today 7/20 and he said they were not able to get cameras up. I am out of money and never got items. I believe they should give me the items and if they are not going to refund money. I will never use the scan n go again. The manager could do more but i belie he chooses not to help. Some one needs to please help. I am a single mom and not able to afford to pay and not use the items.

The Worst

After my membership expires, I'm going to look at Cosco. Petrie Way store in Rosedale is horrible. The gas pumps are a disaster with the lines with no structure, the cafe constantly out of pizza with ridiculous long lines, and I'm sick of them asking for a card coming thru the door, especially knowing that you cannot buy anything without a membership. AND the customer service rep cussed a friend out in the store with no reprimand from management after having an issue with the gas pumps. I'm not sure why corporate does not visit (without staff knowing it is corporate visit) or send a mystery shopper to see how their customers experience their store. I can do without the aggravation. Membership not worth it!

Great customer service
November 4, 2016

My husband and I are renewing our vows on 11/5/16. I placed an order for a three tier wedding cake three weeks prior from Sam's Club. Today I discovered Sam's Club did not have the order on my cake that I was set to pick up at 1:00pm, on 11/4/16. After my initial shock and immense sadness I spoke with assistant manager Latonya Taylor. Mrs. Taylor assured me I would be able to pick up my cake as originally planned and due to my inconvenience, there would be no cost. This act of kindness, compassion and customer service is not typical in today's business world. She also assured me her cake specialist Alison Nobles would bake me a cake that would not disappoint. I know when my special day is here I will be highly pleased. Stay tuned for part two everyone as I am choosing to trust my fellow man. Thank you in advance Latonya and Alison for being the light in what began as a dark day. The universe needs me more people amazing people such as yourselves.

After shopping at sams got email for how satisfied I was. Told them had about 2 pounds of untrimed fat on eye of round roast I use for jerky. This went on numerous times after which time they finally instead of leaving less lbs of fat on,just stopped putting out eye of round roast. Now they asked each time why I wouldn't recommend them, I told them you don't have enough profits,you have to make money off of fat trimmings? So the person who at least answered their questions is involved in some petty game playing by some sams club manager because someone complained about the excessive amount of fat let on their meat for profit.

Website Failure

My local Sam's Club told me to order Goodyear Tires online. He assured me they are in stock. Go to their site and no Goodyear tires are even searchable. Tried customer service chat and they were useless. Their sites stinks.

The store in Gilbert AZ absolutely will NOT answer the phone/s‼
I spent over 35 minutes calling the store in Gilbert and Chandler AZ. I finally called the corporate office and that took at least 5 minutes to talk to a live person! The corporate office could only get the tire department to answer the phone. About 5 minutes later someone answered the phone so I asked to speak to the store manager. They refused to let me speak to the manager! I'm going in to see about getting a refund on our membership! And I was in a fantasy mood before trying to ask a single question. No wonder most of the reviews suck for this company and now I see why Sam's Clubs are closing and CostCo can't build stores fast enough. Sorry Sam's Club you're digging your own grave‼

Aweful experience.

We renewed our membership and I shopped to pick up. No idea how to pick up. Had to call to ask where to go. I was told to go to the exit and ring the door bell. No answer. The door assistant said the pick up person was busy. After 15 minutes she suggested I go to the cage to pick up. Waited there. Then I returned to the web page to order again... NOT sure why... Realized I was charge three times for all the years I did NOT VISIT the store. I have been on line and phone for greater than two hour to get $90 returned. My last bill was $117! Please let me free. This business is criminal.! No savings. No customer service.

Nobody cares

I was sucked in to this membership by the hearing aid company that gave me a discount and talked me into membership and it only cost me 4000.00 dollars. (aprox) then I renewed my membership and didn't spend any money there for quite some time and when I thought I would check my status and go shopping,I couldn't sign in and was told by someone from another country (live chat) that my membership was expired. And I was told many times during the chat " I do really sorry ". I wish I could communicate with someone who really does care but they "do really sorry" and I wasted $45 bucks for absolutely nothing.
My advice would be:: Dont think your going to save money there, go to walmart or target and get your money's worth.
And the hearing aids? I could tell you another wasted 4000.00 bucks story, thanks to Sams club!

One more thing, according to the terms and conditions this review, probably will not be seen by anyone but the inside people who scrutinize it. Does anyone really care?

Scan and Go

I am a Costco shopper but decided to try Sams as it's closer to my work and hubs uses them for work things. I went in today to purchase some butter. I'm at checkout-#1 hate scanning my own stuff. I don't use self checkout anywhere. Screen wants me to upgrade my membership. I don't want to. Asked for help. 2 mgrs came over. Still couldn't scan my $100 worth of items. They tell me it's because I'm not a VIP- Not 10am. Ridiculous #2. Then I ask about what is scan and Go as I had an item like that. Inform me I have to use my phone and scan item to get the discount. #3 Ridiculous. I handed them back the item and asked to have it removed as I'm not doing that! I'm already scanning, boxing my own items. Now you want me to use the app and scan my items. I have worked 30 yrs in retail and this new scan to get discounts is Ridiculous! Many companies are using it and it's just a way to hire less people.

We enrolled in the promotional membership at $5 the first year. The quality of their products and the limited number of warehouses did not meet our expectation. We did not want to renew the membership. However, they automatically charged us the renewal fee, approximately $55 a year. We called to cancel and was told that it would take 7 - 10 days. We did not see the credit after 10 days, called back and was told it's 10 business days, weekends are not counted. So, we called back after an additional week without the credit and was told to give 5 more days. So far, a total of 3 weeks which is 15 business days with no credit to our account. What kind of business that takes that long to give credit to a customer? No wonder their warehouse number is shrinking more and more.

I have gone to sams club in Fayetteville illegal nc for the last 6 weeks and every time I go, they are out of pretzels and/or fountain drinks. I love sams club lunch combo... pizza and soda 2.50 but I love their pretzels too! I just hate they have been out lately. Sams club has awesome deals n I love sams I just hate they been out of pretzels

Inventory

I do not agree with sam's club inventory names. People do not know what are they buying just because sam's club chooses to name the product everything but what the product is. When people look for the product on their receipts they can get confused because a tomato source can be called a candy bar, just an example. It will be good if they name their product either the name of the company or what the product is itself. If is a box of mango, say mango box, not monkey noodle. That can save customers' time. Also hire people with customer service, not by color or race.

Dissatisfied

Actually if I could give them 0 stars I would have but that was not an option.

I have been a Sam's Club member for a long time. The main reason is I bought in bulk for school concessions. Buying in bulk worked so I bought for my business and home. They have raised their membership prices as well as their product prices. I've done the math- buying in bulk is not the best way to go. Their prices aren't any better that the grocery stores so why go? Their staff from check out to service desk to trying to leave the building are rude. A huge disappointment after all these years.

Gas station

If you are going to join sams club at the gas station they do not take cash better to join bj's instead because bj' takes cash and card if im going to join a club i want a club that takes both cash and card because if you have no debit card just forget about it wasted my time and money joining sams club thats why i never ever joined sams club i tired it because of Tmobile tuesdays so if sams club is only good if your going to get food only im cancelling my sams club membership

The Sam's Club Pearl City Hawaii 99% of the time NEVER answers the phone. The downtown Honolulu, HI location is slightly better in this department. Costco in this department of answering their phones and having a separate person placing your goods being purchased in your cart definitely speeds up the progress of getting in and out of the Club. I've spoken to upper management and GM's at Sam's about this matter of not answering their phones. It truly falls on deaf hears. Sam's Club has forced me into doing my bi-weekly shopping at Costco.

Racist employee

I was trying to get my frozen yogurt from the food court, one of the employees thought I was trying to steal because I went there twice and because I'm black. She denied that she was making a racist accusation, and she kept arguing with me.

Frustrated

We order bulk cans from Sam's for our childcare and Per state requirement we are not allowed to use dented cans. Well we got our order today and the driver left damaged boxes outside in the hot weather and when we opened the boxes 80% of the cans were damaged. Now we have to go through a return somehow because we are not able to use them.

Roses
January 25, 2024

I ordered 50 roses on January 12 to be delivered on January 18 because my son was going to propose to his wife to be on January 19. I still haven't received my money back nor the roses. If you ordered any for valentines don't expect to receive them. You are better off getting them from Costco.
