Bought two purses from Sakroots, the first one I loved the colors and design. Easy to clean vinyl(plastic). The second purse I purchased was cloth and to my surprise black ink or dye, rubbed off on my clothes and hands while I traveling. What a mess and major disappointment. I notified Sakroots, they offered me 10% off next purchase. They could at least offered a return refund to me. Won't be buying anymore Sakroots
Bought something online. Terrible website that kept crashing. Got the product. Really cheap and poor quality. Trying to return it was told I had to have set up an account when I ordered. This was nowhere specified anywhere clearly on the site. Got them to issue a UPS label. Sent the product back by UPS. Product arrived to them on August 7th. As of today, September 6th, still no refund. Got an email claiming the refund went back onto my bank card. It's not there. Bank never saw it come in. Person on the phone said a supervisor would look into it and email me. Nothing. Will never order from this company again. Oh, and did I mention it's real name is Indonesia something or other? So just one more sweatshop company with a false image, cheap poor quality products and horrible customer service. Will keep pushing for my refund. Would not recommend doing business with them.
I chose a Sakroots bag over another brand because Sakroots was offering a coupon code for 15% off. The coupon was applied to my cart, but at the final step of checkout, the system automatically removed the code and finalized the order at the retail price, with no confirmation screen or input from me. I immediately emailed customer service and asked if they would apply the coupon code, but was told they cannot alter or cancel orders in any way,... However I could refuse the package or return the bag for a refund. They gave me a different code for 15% off a future order, but seriously, if the checkout system just removes the codes, why would I ever try to place another order?! I asked if there was a way to simply do a partial refund of 15% and was ignored. I guess they would rather be out the cost of shipping and have me refuse the order than sell a bag for 15% off and have me become a repeat customer.
I ordered a portable charger which is great, love it. I also ordered a wristlet/purse that's too small - it's for an iphone but if you have a case on your iphone (who doesn't?) it won't fit into the pocket. The purse is gorgeous, but it's just too small. I emailed the company and they sent a paid UPS return label. Customer service is dying out, so I dreaded even asking about returning it, but it was perfect. Thank you Sakroots!
In 2016 I purchased a large Sakroots wallet. A few months later I returned it to the shop as the stitching started to come apart. I was able to exchange and I paid a few more dollars at the time for a similar wallet. It is now two years further and the zipper is no longer working. Firstly I love the brand, it has amazing colours and designs, and the fact that it supports the North American butterfly. However I am very disappointed with the quality of the product. I would have expected more for the price of the wallet (it wasn't cheap junk). Due to the time I have had the wallet I of course cannot receive a refund. The store did offer me a 10% good will discount if I decided to purchase another. I won't.
I purchased a Pastel Bucket Crossbody Bag for my daughter in March. She started carrying it about May and it is already fraying in the seams at the bottom of the purse. She loves the look of the purse but it is not holding up.
Very disappointed. Handbag is peeling. It is not new I've had it in my closet for about 3-4 years just started using it again. It's falling apart in the brown areas.
I received a clutch as a Christmas gift from sister site Elliott Lucca. An extremely sharp/safety-pin tipped object came out near the zipper and stabbed me (painful and drew blood). I contacted the company to return it and was issued a store credit for $48. There was nothing on the site for $48, so I'm not sure how they arrived at this number. In fact, prices were starting at double that.
I received an email informing me that I could use my credit at one of the sister sites: Sakroots or The Sak. (The process of having the credit transferred was not user-friendly).
I ordered an item with my credit, from Sakroots on March 17 (again, had to go back and forth from website, email, and phone. Not user-friendly). By April 4 when my item had not arrived, I called to inquire as to it's whereabouts. They told me they had been unable to deliver it (I receive deliveries weekly, if not daily at the same address). When I asked why no one tried to contact me, there was no answer.
I had to go through a whole re-issuing of the credit process, instead of the item just being re-shipped. When I was finally able to call back, my item was no longer available. I asked for a supervisor and was told that they will not speak on the phone with customers but one would email me. I received what can only be described as an impersonal/form email. When I replied it went unanswered.
At that point I just wanted a refund, which of course they will not honor. Terrible customer service.
I have yet to hear back from the company and doubt I will. So, depending on my own desire to be a glutton for punishment, the situation may go unresolved.
PS...I was able to find the photo of the original clutch with sharp object that punctured my finger. I am attaching it.
