I came online and saw all these horrible reviews and thought that I had actually clicked on the wrong company name. I live in Canada and parts up here are ridiculously expensive. I discovered rockauto a few years ago and I swear by it. I live in a different country and get my parts within 3-5 days and the pricing is amazing, even after paying customs. In Canada, I would pay $471 CAD dollars including taxes for 4 rotors and 4 sets of brake pads for a 2014 Honda Odyssey. It cost me $223 + tax and shipping so about $300 from rockauto. I will agree with a few things from peoples' complaints: the customer service is not amazing. I've neer found a phone number to call although they did reply to my email within a few days and yes, you must know your stuff before ordering. In 6 orders, only once did the part not fit even though the system said it would (apparently that part was aluminimum on canadian cars but steel on the ones made in the U. S). The return process is VERY easy... you follow the steps and they generate all the paperwork for you. I got my money back minus about $30 for the shipping within 3 days. I was actually impressed with how easy it was to return. So, if you know what you're ordering, it's a great site to save money, I'm sticking with them.
Rockauto doesn't have a way to connect other than their suggestions for parts. When the wrong part is suggested, it's very difficult to return it and nobody to ask for the right parts.
I recently ordered a part that was needed to get my car back on thr road. I ordered the part at a very good price and it took approx 22 hours to arrive.

I purchased a set of 10 head bolts for my 5.3 chevy (Fuel Pro).when torquing them to specks 1 broke and I thought it was my 300 dollar Snap on wrench so I bought a different torquing wrench after drilling and tapping a new BLOCK HOLE and continued on torquing the 2nd time and another bolt broke. Now I'm finding I have the wrong bolts with no way to contact ROCK AUTO to replace head bolts,head gaskets and this time the broken bolt is 1 1/2 half inches into the block with no way to get it out. I've sent text, email for god only knows how long now with no return from ROCK AUTO. This was my 1st and last time using ROCK AUTO. Now I need a new engine to fix this because they sent me the wrong bolts in the right box...is so wrong that you can't speek with anyone at ROCK auto. Worst experience I've ever had. Also I look at there reviews and found they have been to worst parts distributor out there and now I know why.

Purchase Monroe Shocks for my 2011 Jeep Liberty, they fell apart after 300 miles, took them off and took them to a authorized dealer they show me a set of there shocks, mind were counterfeits, call Rockauto customer service, a woman talk to me, told her my Monroe Shocks were counterfeits a man got on the phone yell at me, told me not to call again and hung up on me

I had practically two identical keys to cut and he quoted 2 quid for one and 3 quid for another, fair enough so I proceeded to hand over the key that he quoted 2 quid, for the owner to say he can no longer do it and swiftly recommends 'tesco' key cutting technology, laughable I know.
To hell with you, learn some customer skills and stop faffing around when there are customers waiting to be served. You are indeed an unscrupulous merchant, got it cut at 'KAMS Electrical & Hardware', in Yardley for a fraction of the price no tesco technology required!
I would just like to echo previous 1 star reviews the owner is obnoxious condescending, if your face doesn't fit he'll shoo you away. What is testamanent is his response to previous reviews, shoots himself in the foot by consistently demonstrating poor customer service skills. If I had disgruntled customers I would never respond in a way that would add fuel to the fire. The objective is to resolve not to escalate! Brush up on your people skills and quit it with your feeble attempts to blindly rip people off!

Have a 1990 gmc 1500 truck needs a pulse wiper motor all there listing are WRONG 88/90 wrong / y is there no listing get to buy used this wiper has no board they should say that in the index so you dont get coned on a wiper that is very wrong

Ordered spark plugs on 7/19/23. Rock Auto had the price I could find. I received order confirmation on 7/20/2023. (apparently their computers sleep at night?). I received order shipped info on 7/20/2023. It was shipped DHL. On 7/23/2023 I was notified that my order was delivered. I reviewed the detailed tracking info. DHL handed it off to USPS.
On 7/23/2023, USPS stated that it is in a delivery box. It was not. I contacted USPS and they opened a case for a missing package. I filled out the lost package info on the Rock Auto site and requested that the product be sent again. I received the message that " they can not send the replacement product or issue a refund until they received the returned product".? IT'S LOST! THERE IS NO PRODUCT TO RETURN... Also in the tracking info. It states that the product was returned by the carrier. Totally conflicting info. On the web site. No human to speak with etc. etc. Rock Auto at one time was the place to go for auto parts... Never again for me. Now I need to call my CC company and open a charge dispute. A total waste of time and I didn't save any money as well.
Horrible, want me to buy another 225.00 carburetor before I can return the leaky one!

No customer service to contact only forms to return parts. You MARK DO NOT REPLACE AND they send you another regardless you they can get the shipping costs a 2nd time. Beware! Fraud-also credit card charged from other sites after dealing with Rock Auto totaling over $600. I ordered light bulbs from Rock Auto via Priority Mail on Tuesday because they stated delivery would happen before the weekend. Regular delivery would not get to me till after the weekend. The USPS records the label as created on 3:04PM Tuesday. The next entry in USPS tracking is "Accepted at USPS Origin Facility" and is stamped at 9:25PM Wednesday. That is over 30 hours till the clock starts on the 1 to 3 day delivery USPS states. IT is NOT a money back guarantee. It is now Monday and the bulbs are "Moving Through Network - In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late" USPS states. DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY ON PRIORITY MAIL FROM ROCK AUTO.
Refund initiation
Paid a hundred dollars to have a package overnighted and FedEx was late, I contacted FedEx and they where willing to give me a refund but Rockauto had the invoice so had to be initiated through them, A expedited package is a guaranteed over night delivery and they told me a overnighted package is a estimate and there system cant initiate a refund, so I had FedEx refund them but they did not refund me, so be careful with these guys bc they have no customer service number
I just order parts for an base acura rsx 2005 last week, i get them quick so i was good with that, after i check out the parts they where for a 2009 nissan 370z, i contact them to see a return and they never answer me, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE THEY DO WHAT EVER THEY WANT TO DO.
I paid $75 for FedEx Express shipping, which stated a DEFINITIVE arrive by date. The arrival day was extremely important, as i had a mechanic lined up to install the part that day. This was the only day he was available for the next two weeks. That was the only reason i got such expensive and fast shipping. Not only was the part not here by the day stated when I purchased it, the status still shows that the package is in Indiana. I live in FLORIDA. And this garbage $#*! site has absolutely ZERO customer service or phone number to call. What a joke! Then as I'm navigating their terrible help section, it states that all their shipping times are "estimates" and aren't guaranteed. Even though when you order it says very clearly what day it will arrive. Nowhere does it say it's an estimate. So i just completely wasted $75 on shipping for a part that now I'm in no hurry whatsoever to receive because my mechanic is no longer available to install it. I should've looked at the reviews BEFORE I ordered from them. Absolutely horrendous reviews, what a surprise!
