I ordered replacement wiper inserts for my 1972 Ford F250. The part I received does not fit my Ford F-250 and you cannot get hold of a person at Rockauto. They wanted me to pay for half the shipping return cost. No a company I want to deal with. Sorry Garage Squad! Order Number *******
I purchased a somewhat upgraded steering gear for my 1985 Jeep. From what I read they would reimburse me about $130 for the core. Spent over $50 to ship back my old part in the same box as required. A week after notifying me that they received the core they email me to say that they won't take it because it is not the exact same unit model that I purchased. No where in anything I read beforehand was it mentioned that it had to be. So no refund, no offer of store credit, nothing. And they want me to pay them $45 to send it back. Needless to say I won't be spending another dollar with Rock Auto again.
Reps are not helpful or understanding. Many do not take the time to read a short email and default to being rude when they should be focused on being honest. If they would check their work and look for ways to be helpful they would see an overall improvement in their call times and number of call backs.
Problems with shipping never got my part or a return since they didn't get my part back. No customer service number to call, the online report a problem is just an automated service that can't help you with anything. I got auto reply then the case was closed and my emails just auto-replied with case expired, case closed
I use rockauto daily. 99% of everything on there has a picture so you can look right at the part. A lot of the time I use it to make sure I'm getting the right part locally. And when I can't get it local I know it's avalible through rockauto. Sometimes I even use there oem part numbers for the local dealerships.
We've had a few issues with faulty parts and it was know hassle at all they took care of it.
The other good thing is there has never been any extra duty ever. It's always what you pay when you buy..
I ordered front end parts for my car. Almost 1000 dollars worth of parts. I had to replace half the parts a month later. Very poor quality parts. My brother ordered a crank kit these dip $#*!s put the wrong main bearings in the kit. Customer service is trash. They want you to foot the bill to return the wrong parts that they sent you. I will never use these jokers again.
My part arrived damaged. (JUNK). (The part inside the pristine box was actually burned)
Rock auto refused to give me a refund and told me that I had to pay for postage to return it under a warranty replacement!
It appears to me that Rock Auto sells cheap inferior junk products made mostly in China? (explains why they sell so cheap)
Their customer service appear to be the worst!
I will never buy another part from Rock Auto as long as I live!
And now they are fighting my credit card backcharge.
I just received a new set of rotors for my '83 C10 Chevy Pickup Truck and they seem to be defective parts from the China manufacturer. The inner bearing cavity on the hub is to big to fit the OEM bearing and spindle. It takes a bigger bearing than my regular bearing. The front outer bearing is a perfect match though. I am having trouble sending these parts back in getting a return label. They do not reply and kicked my out of my browser whilst in the midst of submitting my return and now the site "suddenly" will not load. After all of these years buying parts from rock auto, this is the thanks I get? All I want to do is to return these defective rotors and purchase the correct ones.
I will never order through rock auto again. The customer service is Non-existent. A void. Not there. **** ****. Got me once, never again. Blows balls never, ever again. A simple phone call would answer what I may need. The returns process is horrible. Cannot think that this would be worth the loss of customers. The frustration is immense. Never again. And, I have cars that will need care forever.
Was sent a part that doesn't fit, their are two different motors for my truck., apparently they don't know that and sent the wrong one that doesn't fit, they are willing to refund the part cost, but not the initial shipping, taxes and return shipping, so I won't get much back and they will get their back, really bad customer service, trust me buy your parts somewhere else
I paid extra to have my part for my customer delivered on a certain date and it had been 4 days since that date and when i contacted rockauto to file a complaint and asked for my shipping money back they denied me and would not let me speak to a manager about the issue. What kind of company does not have a phone number to call for customer service?
Yes they will exchange defective parts That they sold you brand new and you spent hours installing. That is after you selected the supposed upgraded part and paid extra for it. You can not return it for an even more expensive part. You get to exchange it and install it with yet another defective part. I will never buy anything from these guys again. No contact number the customer service online wasn't helpful they just wasting youre time on going to their help support that non sense i will not recommend this $#*!ing company they give me a tracking number for dhl that doesn't exist $#*! you Rockauto the 1 star for rate is nothing its just because the computer required me to hit the star because for me you are negative there should be an option for that
On or about November 13,2023, I ordered a cabin air filter and and an air filter online from RockAuto. Both parts arrived without issue but the air filter did not fit and was damaged green coloring scattered on it. Despite communications with RockAuto to ship me a new part, they could not guarantee I would receive the proper part if they sent it to me again, nor could they guarantee that I would not occur some sort of charge to return the part and be sent a new one. After several back and forths, they told me the 30 day window for refunds had expired. This window was never mentioned in any of the email correspondence nor on the product or delivery receipts. On Jan 2, I asked to be refunded for the $29.66 USD for the part and estimated shipping costs. RockAuto refused.
I purchased an ac compressor that was bad from the very beginning. I have to pay shipping to send back and they will not issue a refund and will only replace the the exact part. Do not do business with these scammers. Now I am trying to see what I can do with the manufacturer. Oh yeah, and they do not have live people customer svc it is strictly online mumbo jumble.
I bought the leaf spring less than 1 year old it was already bad as if it had years of use, I asked for the warranty and they sent me a worse part than the old one I had, I returned the part and they sent me another bad part.
I got in touch with custom services and they don't really care to help. They tell me to cancel if I don't like the part and get a refund and they still chargee for each shipment of bad parts, it makes no sense for me to pay for their mistakes.
These guys shipped my part right away but I'm retired and had to wait to get the work done once it started the mechanic said it was the wrong part it plugs in and the original plug did not match. Rock's return policy says max 30 days Oh my I was at 38 days. I will never buy another thing from them and I suggest you buy with caution. This seems to be a reoccurring problem with these guys.
Good luck getting a refund for a part you order from their site. They sell parts to cars that don't even have said parts. Example 2010 focus they say it has a cabin air filter and it 100% does not. Then they want you to pay for shipping.
Have ordered many auto parts from them over the years, but I will not buy anything again. Their parts are Chinese and pure garbage. I will also tell all my friends and acquaintances not to shop at rockauto. And my friends should tell everyone they know: don't beware of the cheap rockauto junk
Never ever again. Rock auto suck... I bought the rotor and brake pads they were wrong. So I had to send them back. There was nothing wrong with them and said they were damaged...noo they were not...they kept them and would not refund my money.$ 165.00...take my advice do not use then
