Ordered a firearm from rkguns, I received notification of shipping and tracking number. FedEx tracking shows delivery at my local Rural King at11:58A on Tuesday, as per Rural King I waited 24 hours after they received it to go to the store to pick it up on Wednesday at2:00pm. I was unable to pick it up due to the store not officially transferring it to the store database. Was told I could pick it up tomorrow (Thursday). I went in on Thursday at 2:30pm. Was told that it still had not been transferred to the store even though it was physically received on Tuesday. I called the store on Friday afternoon and was told it still had not been transferred. So, Rkguns/Rural King
doesn't adhere to their own policies,
( allow 24 hours after we receive your firarm to allow for processing) and I believe the are in violation by not transferring in the required time ( by close of business the following day after receiving. I would not recommend purchasing from Rkguns.

Ridiculous

Ordered a firearm on line 2 weeks ago. Called customer service to get a status on the order as I was previously told that there's a 10 business day wait before a shipment goes out. Today (10 business days later) I was told the order is still "processing". I was also told once the order is processed there's another wait of 10 approximate days or more before shipment. What?
I don't think they have the firearm from the manufacturer to begin with and are just stringing you along until they get a shipment. Too many vague answers from this outfit to ever consider doing business with them again on firearms.

Terrible Service

RK guns had a cow print gun advertised on sale. I ordered it. Never received it. No responses to my emails. Finally got someone on the phone and he didn't seem to give a crap about my issues. All I was told is "I'll have to contact the manufacturer and get back with you" never heard anything back though and when I logged in to my account it says my order was cancelled. Poor service and terrible customer service. Definitely would not recommend wasting your time.

WORST PURCHASE EXPERIENCE EVER
March 20, 2023

I ordered my first firearm from RK Guns on March 1st. I contacted customer inquiring about delivery and was told it was delivered on March 7th. No proper follow up. The firearm was delivered to someone home who was a basket case. This has been the worst purchase experience ever. I would NOT recommend this company or it's vendors.

This was the most disappointing firearm purchase experience to date for me. Customer service is horrible and has no answers. Lead times to process run longer than anywhere else with no sort of cooperation to get status. Absolutely disgusting. Me and me two neighbors ordered the same gun, at the same time, they got there's 3 days later…day13 and mine still shows 'processing'. Absolute garbage service, snotty arrogance, and who GAF attitude from them.

Honestly, I don't know what these other reviewers are saying about RKguns but, my experience was much better then I expected. I ordered my new gun 12/18/23 and the gun store that I had it shipped too called me and asked me to pick it up on 12/22/23. In Four days, they cleared the payment, shipped the gun and it's in my hands. I've bought a few guns online before and this definitely was the fastest shipping and receiving I've ever come across when purchasing a firearm. I've never bought anything from here in the past but I am going to be doing business with RKguns on my next purchase.

Bad customer service

Just like all other reviews, customer service is bad. They wont answer emails. I asked why my order handt shipped after 2 weeks, no answers for a week. Took 3 weeks to receive, then after it shipped got an email saying that they had to order from the manufacturer...really? It was "in stock" when I purchased. Dont purchase from them. I asked for them to make it to me and said there is nothing they can do.

Wasn't helpful or not a people person

I just recently purchased a gun from RK with a top cocker and seen that there was two style available. A top cocker and a side cocker, I knew the side cocker would be better so I decided to reach out and see if I can switch to the side cocker style. A lady picked up and said no at first that they don't carry the side cocker. Then I ask well why would they have the gun online for sale, Then she decided to check the system, in which she could've did from the start if she was a peoples person and wanted future business. She said they don't have any available with no solution. RK need to find a receptionist that public relations to ensure future business. I was truly unsatisfied

I shop the Clarksville TN store. The folks at the gun barn are great. Helpful, thorough, and friendly. Personally, I don't buy anything sight unseen, especially a firearm. I have nothing negative to say. Keep up the good work!

Ordered and paid for a.45 pistol. It took about 10 days for it to come in. Then, of course, the background check which was "DELAYED." as usual. I waited 4 days and contacted the store and to no surprise they decided they could keep it 10 days or possibly till May 4th. I informed the first dufensmirtz that I had never waited more than 3 days after the background check was started. For same reason the sales person went and got the manager to tell me it could be till May 4th. It was April the 4th when the check was started. The manager said "we have our own rules here at Rural King." At that point I knew it was useless talking with these people. I advised I would call customer service and start another refund. 0-2 and that will be the last time I'm ever in that store.

Do not buy from RK Guns!

First they had an issue with the FFL I selected from THEIR website. Then they had issues tying that FFL license to my order. Lastly, they canceled it and this is why: because a 3rd party verified my information and something didn't match. A letter, a number, an address, she could not tell me what it was and said it would most likely happen again if i were to reorder. I could not reach out to the 3rd party to ask why. I have all permits required and served in the military. I have never had any issues like this. Do not waste your time!

Site says they have it in stock to only receive a message 20 days later too inform that they can not fulfill the order. Basically a scripted reply…. Got a excuse saying thier site has too many orders coming in which is complete garbage it's a stock based system as orders come in inventory goes down and you can't tell me thier system doesn't work that way…when you mention you e bought a gob of ammo for the particular firearm their reply is ammo not refundable. They are terrible at customer service and I will never shop their again not for a firearm or anything else for that matter they try and play it off like they tried too fulfill the order by reaching out too the maker which is completely a lie I reached out and the maker has many in stock ready too ship… so good bye rural king!

I am an avid gun show fan and un conditional supporter of the second amendment but the January 1st show was a sham, first the lobby had about 250-300 people waiting to get in because there was one person selling and taking tickets at the door AND inspecting in coming fire arms, there was NO security inside or outside anywhere to be seen so all these people were standing in a winding line that filled the lobby, I was about 20 feet from a plate glass window when someone outside lit off 5 rounds through a big plate window, yes 5 of them and he left on foot and got away, two people were slightly injured, the day before a rifle was fired in the parking lot, again where was security? I will never attend another RK show, I love fire arms but this is an unacceptable situation and only ruins more reputable shows as the media does not care, all gun shows are bad, RK needs to re think the way they do business and not cheap out on security, dead customers cannot spend money.

I've been buying guns for 20 years. Never been to a place that made you feel so uncomfortable. Lake Wales FL location. Service is horrible and not one educated staff member at all. Each employee told a different story about my order. Drove 2 hours for nothing. I will never buy nor go to any rk guns shop In my life. I will bad mouth this place as long a I live.

I ordered a Ruger Mini-14 target rifle from their site and got it two weeks later from an FFL in Wisconsin, no problem. I paid $702 total and I know the gun is worth about $1400 now. A few days after ordering, I noticed the gun was out of stock - I guess I got lucky. That was three years ago and it has since never been available. I see now, as of Feb. 2021, you can't even ship to an outside FFL anymore. WOW! All in all, it was a great experience for me, but now would probably be impossible. I guess you gotta strike when the iron's hot.

Absolute garbage

They sent me a rifle that did not have a removable side-baffle break when the one I ordered specifically stated that it was removable. I contacted customer service and they were extremely rude and repeated the same line over and over that "since I received the rifle I had to take it up with the manufacturer for warranty" and did not back up their sale in any way. They advertised something that they didn't provide after I paid for it, should be false advertising or straight fraud. Absolute garbage.

Do yourself a favor and keep on scrolling when wanting to purchase a firearm online. 18 days and four phone calls only to find out it is not in stock when it was advertised as such. Luckily after purchasing $250 worth of ammo and a holster i found what i needed elsewhere at a cheaper price.

FL state law regarding waiting periods for rifles and shotguns is 3 business days except if you have 1) A concealed permit 2) a trade in 3) a hunting license. The store ignores the law and makes you wait regardless. Additionally the site states if you ship to an RK store there are no fees. I had to pay an $8 transfer fee at the store. 50 mile round trip twice when I could have paid $30 more at a store in town and not had to wait. Bottom line do not deal with RK.

RK guns put guns on sale and advertise they are in stock then three weeks later send email telling unfortunately we can not send you the gun or give a rain check thank rk guns for the lump of coal.

They had what I wanted, and the free transfer at one of their stores is nice, but 10 days to process and 10 days to ship (after paying $12.99 for shipping) an order is completely ridiculous in this day and age. Also, the person on the phone was extremely rude when I questioned the shipping time. I will be purchasing elsewhere from now on.
