Do yourself a favor and go to a real gun store and pay a few bucks more. This place is chaos at best and insanity at least. I cancelled after 5 weeks.

I ordered a handgun from RK Guns in late May. It was an item hard to find in stock at almost all vendors, so I was glad when I got an email that the item was in stock at RK. Three days later I got an email asking for the FFL facility to send a copy of their current license, and if not done within 7 days, the order would be cancelled. The copy was sent to RK that day. No confirmation that RK received the copy, so I sent a total of three emails to try and find out. All 3 emails got automated responses, never any confirmation of the FFL license issue being resolved, the order being processed or the order being cancelled. I called... on hold for almost an hour, never spoke with a person. Called again a couple of days later, on hold for over an hour, never spoke with a person. Called a third time, finally got to speak with a customer service rep (after 45 minutes on hold) who confirmed that the FFL had been received and that the order was "being processed, estimated 10-14 days for order to be shipped. It has been 3 weeks, no word on shipment, no change in status of order, no charge on my credit card. Yesterday I found the same item in stock at another vendor, ordered it. Called that company this morning, the call actually ANSWERED by a person, who was able to confirm that the item was in stock. So I called RK today and after at least 45 minutes on hold, spoke to a customer service rep, asked them to cancel the order, which was done. I was never sure that RK actually had the item in stock...

I asked the young lady about my order & she explained it took 10 days. I said shipped 11 days ago & not there. I said I will start buying my firearms somewhere else. She said quote that's wonderful & then hung up on me after I canceled my order. The lady/person has no room to be working with the public. RKGUNS/ RURAL KING ARE HITTING THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. DONE SHOPPING FOR ANYTHING IN STORE OR ONLINE. I GUESS THEY ARE HURTING FOR HELP BAD NO MATTER HOW RUDE. I WILL NEVER NEVER GO TO OR ORDER FROM RURAL KING OR RKGUNS AGAIN. THE PERSON SHOULD BE FIRED. I CANCELED MY ORDER. DONE ……..
I ordered handgun online and so far it has been10 hours and background check still has not been approved. I will never purchase from this company again.
I placed an order for a firearm and when I was notified it had arrived I went to the store and filled out all appropriate state and BATF (4473) paperwork. This paperwork was checked and verified several times (3) before I left the store. At the end of the three day wait period I went to back to pick it up. With the finalization paperwork completed and signed off I was told the rude store manager had a problem with my paperwork. The paperwork mentioned above and verified (3) times! I was told I would have to resubmit the paperwork because I signed Dave rather than David. Apparently The Illinois State Police and BATF had no issue with this but the store manger did. At that point I cancelled the sale not wanting any more to do with this bunch. I was given a customer service number to cancel the sale. I was then informed that the shipping charge from their warehouse to the store would not be refunded.
Do business with this store at your own risk! There are plenty of legitimate, competent, customer oriented business out there, you don't need to deal with rude, incompetent idiots.
Ordered a rifle June 11th. They state 7-10 business days just to process an order. On business day 13 I started trying to contact customer service. That day I tried 2 different times and gave up after being on hold an hour each time. Next day after another hour I actually spoke to a representative that told me it was taking up to 20 business day. When I received no word on day 20 I wrote a negative review and received an automated reply hey were looking into it. I emailed customer service directly on day 24 (July 13th) and received a reply that customer service was sending an email to a supervisor to look into it. Today is July 17th with no resolution. Emailed them to get it figured out today or I was cancelling my order and from the complaints I see here looks like I will need to tell my bank to refuse any charges from this shyster company. Seriously, a one man operation could have processed hundreds of orders in 24 business days. Is their operation no bigger than an outhouse with a couple of basement dwellers running it? Will post up a another review of how this turns out. I'd avoid this place at all costs. I actually think when I cancel my order it will be a relief on their part not to have to fill another order
I've purchased three firearms from RK online I've had all three sent to a Rural King store and had no problems at all. Sales people at firearms counter were very friendly and helpful

Ordered two guns at one time. Just a couple of.22lr. I guess that was too big of an order for them to process. At first everything seemed fine. Order hit my credit card as pending, status went to processing, so all was good. Website said at least 10 days processing which was no big deal. I wasn't rushing or an any hurry. As the 10 working days came and went I never gotten any email about the status of the order. But I did receive probably 100 email ads and sale papers saying how they are dedicated to all my firearm needs. Week three I tried email. Nothing mean, just inquiring about the status. No response. Nothing. Just an automated we received your message and someone will contact you. So at the one month mark I actually called them. Talked to a nice supervisor and she assured everything was going smoothly. Said one gun was out of stock and that was my delay. She apologized for my unanswered email and said they were shorthanded. Again I wasn't in a hurry so I was patient. So durning my wait I keep checking my status (processing) and looking at the hundreds of course mail advertisements. The items I ordered were always listed in the ads as in stock or new stock arrived or on sale this week. We site showed in inventory and then out of stock and then back in stock. But my status never changed, always processing. Week 6 tried email again. This time I was a little sarcastic in my tone but nothing vulgar or profane. But again no real response just automated message.
But finally my status changed. After all this time. It changed to cancelled. No email, no notice, no nothing. Thanks rkguns. I'm glad to know you can supply all my firearm needs.
Very poor quality. Swindlers and liar. Order was shipped to the incorrect store and will be closed. Embarrassment
RK Associates are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Buying a guns there was a great experience. I will definitely be shopping there in the future.
Back all they sell -at least they do that in greensburg indiana--they are great to work with and know there product! ABSOLUTLY THE BEST PLACE TO BUY A GUN PERIOD!

Customer service "SUCKS". Ordered gun had it shipped, no response on when gun was received or if it was received. Do not have your gun shipped here.
