I foolishly ordered a dress (a beautiful cream dress in the pics) - what arrived was balled up, peach coloured, cheap & nasty with the most hideous fabric possible. It was NOT the dress in the pictures!
I have complained & complained - I've wasted 60 quid when im saving for a wedding & now this Chinese company want ME to pay to return the wrong, hideous, revolting dress to AMERICA - AT MY OWN EXPENSE before they'll consider refunding me!
NEVER - EVER - buy a dress from here - they'll happily take your money but god only knows what CHEAP, NASTY, KNOCK OFF VERSION of your lovely dress will actually arrive all balled up...

I was surprised that the item i got was a cheap, thin, polyester costume. For $42 i expected something at least middle of the road. This is worse than a $15 Halloween costume. And as a matter of fact, the front of the package claimed the worth of the goods was $10. Which sounds about right. They even lied about the material on their website, claiming it was made of soft stretchy Cotton, Spandex. It's not. It's made of Polyester. Liars.
Don't pay of this Cheap Chinese Crap. It's a thoughtless, attempt to cash in on retro fashion by overcharging on poorly assembled goods.
They will make you pay OVER 75% of the price of the product to return the item to a country that it wasn't even sent from. They will not pay for your return, even after lying to you about what the product is made of, and lying about the price of their product. They are scammers. Do not buy from them!

Received 1 out my 2 items and wanted to return bathing I received as the quality was that of a toddler bathing suit and I'll fitting I couldn't even give it away and since I never received the other suit wanted a refund. My total was $65 they offered me $20 for a product I never ever received

I ordered my dress on May 8th. I have since been told that my dress has shipped...
Multiple times. When I was "finally" able to track my dress I discovered that it hasn't been shipped. They lied to me multiple times. Now I just want my money back. I will be reporting Retro Stage to the BBB and the FBI Cyber Crimes Unit and using the mails they sent to me as proof of fraud. I don't mind my item being a bit late. It is part of the pandemic situation we are all currently experiencing. I will not stand for being lied to and jerked around.

I ordered from Retro Stage back in July and got some amazing sequined dresses for my 1920's evening events. They even had plus sizes, which was great for me. I was very impressed!
However, I bought 3 items in August from their "preview" sale and they were awful. All of them were too small, even though I used their sizing chart. The construction details were okay, but not as nice as before. And the cloth is just the same crappy polyester stuff you get other places with no lining or stiffening in anything, as in a 1940's dress with A-line skirt that just hangs there limply. Definitely NOT like the picture they used.
My feeling is that the company was started by awesome folks, but sold off to some other people who don't give a cr*p about quality.
Their return process is TERRIBLE. You only have 15 days to initiate a return. Then they make you trade emails back and forth while the clock ticks by. Then you have to send it back at your expense. Then they will only send your money back if you send them the tracking info, even if they have already received it AND you put your order information in the package with it. I had to follow up with them a month after I returned 2 items because they didn't give me my money back.
Now I have a dress that is too late to return, I don't want to wear, and is too much trouble to return only to get back about $20.
I will NEVER buy from this place again. The quality sucks, the prices are high for what you get, and STAY AWAY! Give your business and effort somewhere else.
Taking into account that it came from HK, it came to CH relatively fast (about 2 weeks) from an order date.
The fabric nice and a little bit elastic, size as described.

Lame. Conflict for months, I receive the same stupid mail that I have to contact the logistics department of my country while I did it and have the proof; the responsibility is not ours but theirs! Here the package was sent back to them!
Listen carefully, this Chinese scam hires a shipping company with NO tracking, so they lose the package and it is your fault! It's up to them to investigate, they know it, but blame you! Unbelievable. Despite the evidence. Cheap, bad, thieves.
They refuse to reimburse me for their mistake.
They do not respect our international and European rights to delivery, tracking and compensation.
I would point out that I was not aware that it came from China so I wanted to cancel my order, and they did not even respect my choice.
Run away the clothes are cheap on top of that. They steal designs from other brands. And these robots dare to report my opinion.
Don't we like the truth? This is not communism.
It isn't even an US or EU based company but everything is shipped from China, something you only know once you pay.

Screen shots we have the text in French explaining that my country company did the job and sent the package back- but the Chinese company used a non tracking way for sending package, aka the cheapest way; therefore, they say never received the package because there is no tracking in THEIR delivery option! I purchased a gorgeous black and blue sequins flapper dress and a 1920s shawl black sequins flapper cape. They are both well made with secure sequins and smooth seams. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the dress and the shawl because the prices are so reasonable! Be sure to check out there 1920s, 1940s, and 1950s collections, They carry plus sizes, prom and holiday dresses as well.
I ordered this magnificent dress for Christmas and it looked amazing! The service was quick and the shipping was great. I really love it! I was scared the bust would be too big for me, but it seems to fit just right in the small size. Shipping wasn't too long, and I had a very efficient customer service. I bought other Halloween dresses last year as well. And I love them all.

I ordered three dresses after checking the size chart. The first dress fit, but the other two would not zip up. I emailed customer service to see if I could return or exchange them for a bigger size. I went back and forth with them for over a week. Deb was absolutely awful. She made it clear that she was not actually reading through my emails. She consistently referred to my return as one item instead of two, which I stated multiple times. She told me that since it was just a size issue, there was no guarantee the return would be accepted if I sent it back. When I asked about exchanging them, she told me it would cost $35 to do an exchange. I've never heard of any other company charging the customer to do an exchange. By the time I expressed my frustration with this process, she suggested a partial refund of $21 and I could keep the dresses. I would have just taken the chance and returned them, but considering how long this process had taken, I was outside of the return window of 15 days, so I told her I would accept the partial refund. She then sent me the information on how to return them. I am completely baffled on how my simple email saying yes I'll take the refund turned into this. Their customer service is atrocious, so if you order from them, better hope you have no issues.

I spend over $250 and once the order was placed then updated the shipping to 30 days. I got an email saying "shipped" but the tracking info is saying "we have not shipped your order" buyers beware

I quickly got a text back saying they would return my money. How strange is that. So i paid 43.99 for the dress and 4.95 for shipping. Then I paid $18.00 to ship it back. So beware I paid a total of 66.94 and only got refunded 43.99. WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE AGAIN. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Definitely wish i had seen these reviews before i did business with them. CHEAP DRESSES, sizes inaccurate, jersey material not material they advertise. DO NOT RECOMMEND. First, the shipping is lengthy. Second and most importantly they make returning DIFFICULT. You'll pay $15 to ship it back and you only have 14 days to do it AND you have to get "approval" from them and answer a bunch of questions before they even agree to take it back. TOTAL WASTE of time and money for a dress that is cheap, you could get from Amazon instead and doesn't fit. 0/10

I was so sceptical - would the dress arrive in time? Would it arrive at all? Would it be way too small? Would it look dreadful? What have I done. I shouldn't have worried at all. 2 weeks and it came to my very rural location in Canada, and it is STUNNING. The fit is perfect and true to size and for the cost I could not be happier. My 1920s themed ladies evening is in a couple of weeks and I will post pics then!
I ordered two head pieces for two of my bridesmaids and have yet to receive them. I placed the order on Oct. 8th and here we are Nov. 7th with nothing as of yet. I've tried reaching out to them and the number they have listed on their website is NOT even a valid number. When reaching out to them by email their response was "One of the items your requested has sold out". Seriously, they couldn't even reach out to me to let me know?!?! Not only that, the other piece that I had purchased was never sent out... They are quick at charging your cc, but not quick at sending the product out. Never again will I purchase from this company!

I ordered a dress on December 2nd to wear for a roaring 20's party in December and paid for expedited shipping as I wanted to ensure it arrived in time for the party. I was hesitant so I called to cancel the order only to reach no one. After several attempts, I left a telephone message. That night I received a tracking email from Bree that the dress had shipped. I immediately sent an email asking that the order not be sent and canceled. No dress, no communication and 4 months later, today I received an email saying the purse that I'd purchased as part of the order is being shipped. This is absurd! Now I have to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge that I canceled the SAME DAY maybe ten minutes after placing the order.
I cannot comment on the quality because I never received the dress/earring. Stay away unless you can wait four months to receive your order.

Answer: XL is a Uk size 14 you have to look at the measurements not the Uk and Us sizes as they are a bit out. The sizing chart is at the bottom of the page of the required item go by the cm, s or inches

Answer: I would say yes, China sizes. I ordered 2PCS White Blouse Top & Suspender Pants - White / XL / 10~12 and the size was smaller than a 10, about an 8, but you couldnt wear the pants anyway, so doesnt matter. They list XL as 10-12 but i would still size down and with how the pieces vary greatly, that might still be false.
