Software was able to help me add information, and it gave me a variety of resume samples to choose from, with excellent formats. However, it that software also didn't allow much flexibility to changes. I had one line left on the first page, that definitely needed to be the first line on page two, and it wouldn't allow me to move it over. I spent several hours fighting the software and wondered if it would have been better, (and obviously cheaper) to just spend that time creating a resume on Microsoft Word. In fact, I may end up doing that tomorrow anyway, and canceling my account.

This website is the first link on page one of google when you type in "free resume builder". It lets you build your resume and waste all your time before realizing they want your money befor even printing or downloading your resume. Any company this dishonest from the get go will receive exactly 0 of my dollars. Thank you and goodbye.

Juan was EXTREMELY helpfully with canceling my subscription and getting me what he could give me as a refund for being charged without my knowledge. His supervisor also gave me part of my refund as well. Just waiting on corporate to get me the rest (approx $50). Hopefully corporate will be as kind as their employees and issue the full refund!

I spent $1.95 to try it and made a resume on this website because it showed me that try 14 days, cancel anytime. I was thinking 1.95 is ok to get a resume and I added my card and paid the money. After that, I called them to cancel. They told me that I have no subscriptions until I pay the full access (After 14 days, auto-renews to $29.95 billed every 4 weeks or Automatically renews each year $10.45 monthly.) That's a trick!

Our free account gives you the opportunity to try out our resume and cover letter builder before deciding to purchase. The ability to print, email, or download your resumes and cover letters are features included in our paid subscription and not listed as a feature of the free account. You can download a plain text version of your resume for free. In order to use all premium features of the service, we offer customers a 14 day access for $1.95 USD and we indicate up front that it will auto renew after the 14 day period and that it can be canceled at any time. The auto renewal is listed with the features of the 14-day subscription on the sales page, as well as on the payment and confirmation pages. We also send a payment confirmation e-mail stating the date and amount of the auto-renewal. We do offer several ways to cancel including via phone, live chat, e-mail and self-cancellation in your Account Settings. If you have any additional concerns regarding your account, please feel free to contact us so we can provide with further assistance. Thank you!

They advertise that it's free. In fact, it's the first thing that comes up when you Google "Free Resume Builder."

Then in order to print, save, or otherwise use your information they demand a "trial" membership and put that it auto renews for an egregious sum of money in tiny, tiny print.

They are advertising free services merely as a way to get your personal information and charge your bank repeatedly.

Stay away from this garbage.

Hi John,
We would like the opportunity to, respectfully, clarify some of the information. Once the client decides to acquire our services, a welcome screen with billing details is presented. A confirmation email is send to the customer that states: "Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically" followed by the corresponding date and purchase price. We do offer various options to cancel your account via telephone, LifeChat, or email and It also explains, that you can cancel at any given time. This alert is also given when the credit card information is requested where it explains that, unless you cancel, you automatically authorize us to charge your account every four weeks at the current rate of the subscription. Please keep in mind that you needed to cancel the service in order to avoid the charges. This was stated on different stages of your enrollment process and was also informed before and after your credit card information was entered. Lastly, when you finish your enrollment process, an e-mail is sent explaining this as well.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

The customer service representative was very helpful when I called in to cancel. My daughter had set up a free trial using my credit card, when the free trial ended my card was then charged $19.95/mo plus foreign transaction fee of. 59. The rep cancelled the account, sent me a confirmation email right away. He was very professional and helpful and I appreciated his help.
