The customer service is based in Philippines. Representatives are polite n patient. It's the company system and expertise that always have problems. For more complicated problems, they need to direct you to another IT supporting company which may charge US$99.99 a month.
I hv already spent more than 8 hrs, 4 days waiting for them to solve my username n password problems as I cld not log into my account even I had changed the password a few times. Still invalid username n password! By the way, they cldn't log into my account even they changed the password at their end. So the problem is not about my username and password.
3 times I was told to wait 24-48 hrs to hv my account update, still the same problem. As of todate, I hv waited 5 days! N I still need to wait for another 2 days to see if it works, coz they said they just updated my account (the 4th time). I doubt if the problem will be fixed by then. Hope not another two days!
If you are running a biz, don't use it! Now I hv no access to my emails for 5 days, and I'm running a biz! And this is not the first time that the office domain was down, it already happened a few times!
Would appreciate if some IT experts can help them, or me!
Its one week my outlook and mobile email are not working, sent an email, they replied without giving a solution, telling to be patient. Unacceptable
My Register.com email has been out of commission for 4 days and they blame Microsoft! Register.com is a terrible company and I would like to hear from Microsoft on why it is to blame. My business is in the toilet, thanks to Register.com.
This is probably my first review of any sercive ever, they are so bad that they got me to write a review.
When I need their help with basic stuff such as pointing my domain to an A record, the chat/phone support has no idea what they are talking about, they are clueless of anything tech-related and takes forever to even answer you.
We are in 2023 and even a bot is better than their support, so I used chatGPT and got the help I needed.
I moved all my domain from Register.com to a different provider.
I have no Idea how this company is still running.
0 stars.
It used to be a good service provider when I became their customer in 1997. Nowadays, it is only interested in getting new sales and does not care for its old customers. Its help service on its site has become totally irrelevant and people who are supposed to help on the phone can't speak English well and nor are they knowledgeable.
If you use register.com, you better hope you never have any problems because their customer support is ridiculous. You will get a person but having been dealing with them for over a month on an issue, I think it would take a miracle to get a rssolution. Promised callbacks never happen. I don't know how this company stays in business. My recommendation - run as fast and as far away from this company that you can.
Business site down due to no ssl cert which is issued by reg.com in the 1st place. Dozens of calls round in a circle for several weeks with no way out. Each call you start from scratch. Loads of promises going nowhere. Only progress is when I contact the President of the company who put me in touch with a top manager who resolved the issue quickly. I have had to contact the President twice in the last couple of years in order to get issues resolved. This is not good enough. Thousands of $ lost because of lost bookings. We are a travel business.
Register.com is garbage. They are good at one thing: registering your domain in 1999. Never give them your credit card for any reason. Today I authorized an $11 charge. Just got an American Express alert they charged my card $75.97. This is the $#*! I'm talking about. Shady, shady, shady. Most dishonest company I've ever dealt with. Only time in my life I couldn't get a vendor to reverse a charge for a non-functioning product, so I disputed with AmEx and *they* reversed the charge for me. I cannot even articulate what absolute trash these thieves and con artists are.
Seeing a monthly account charge was for website security when I do not hold a website domain at Register.com. I contacted them to be told I have a few weeks to request a refund. I repeatedly stated I did not order the service and that it must be an internal error to no avail. Register.com may add small charges to accounts and then refuse to return the monies.
Easy to setup, nearly impossible to cancel anything. Chat-bot plays games with you and you can't autocancel anything without being harrassed by an annoying chatbot. Really annoying.
After calling 5 times about my website being down and speaking to 5 representatives; I was finally connected to a knowledgeable rep. Luckily I was able to get a representative named Romeo. He followed up 2x and made sure everything was working again. I made sure I left a good word about Romeo with his supervisor. Ive been with registered.com for over 15 years and this experience was my first time interacting with a rep who demonstrated such superb customer service.
Hey Afia,
Thank you for your kind review on Romeo!

Just about anyone can build a website for you, but what what follows after the website is built is what's most important! Will the builder be open and sensitive to your ideas, changes, etc., as your business grows and needs change? Will they be courteous, patient, professional and continue to offer that great service they bragged about when getting you to sign-on with them? Well You can confidently answer YES to all of my questions if the company is REGISTER.COM!
This company gets it and I discovered it in the form of their customer consultant, Nina! Nina, is the reason I decided to remain with Register.com. I have never been treated more fairly, with a level of professionalism and professional courtesy. Nina is attentive, patient, and delivers with enthusiasm. She makes me feel like a partner! She's just as concerned about my brand appeal as I am—And seems equally as invested in "getting it right" for the public I serve! Can't ask for better than that folks. If Register.com was smart enough to hire Nina, then I'm certain she's not the only one. It's a "Register.com" company thing, called Superior Excellence."
Thank you, Nina
Thank you, Register.com!
Hey there,
Thank you for your lovely review on Mina!

Register.com has got to be the worst e-mail provider in the industry.
Their service is unreliable, and the customer service is horrible as they subcontract call centers in obscure parts of the world... average waiting time to speak with someone who barely speak english is about 28 minutes
I contacted Register.com to put my original website back online that I paid thousands of dollars for, Not only did they not do that, they tried to" create " a new website for me ( what!?). They refused to give me my money back! The credit card company Capitol One, after sending them all the correspondence required to get a refund, refused to give me my money back also. Save your money! Find a REPUTABLE internet company and credit card company.
I've been with Register.com since I started my business in 2009 and this year will be my last year (2022). Over the years the email service has been a headache with Register.com network outages and it keeps getting worse. Now I have to subscribe for Technical Support Service just to fix an issue they Register.com caused. They have signed me up for services I didn't consent to and would not reimburse me. The last straw is there horrible customer service *******655 no one is ever available not they use to be and then they just hang up on you. All I can say is they just lost a customer of 13 years! And the sad thing is…… they won't loose any sleep over it.
Terrible service, pricy, on hold FOREVER with tech support. Register.com could care less about me, a customer who has been with them from the beginning.
I am the fool, clearly.
Goodbye register.com.
I've been with them about 20 years. What a mistake last year the turned on my dead website, put my new ssl certificate to that website. Then in June 2022 these brilliant people decided to start messing with my site. My website has not work for the past 3 months. Its my web site but I have no privilege's to enter and resolve issues within the database, My website gets 500 error messages constantly disallowing my site to be crawled my ranking went from the top ten to nothing. I tell them it down they say we will run the back up 2 weeks go by nothing then an email saying the back up are good only for a few days this place has become completely useless. A very long time ago I recommend people to use them at this point in time every one needs to run for the hills. Very quick to take money then no one knows what going on. I've been on hold for an average of 4 hours daily trying to resolve this they switch you from department to department hoping you'll hang up. With out calls to my phone I go under but with the scam they have going on they could care less as long as they can charge your card DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE
Our business email has been out 5 days. We called these sad excuse of a company and they said we were on an old email system and needed to upgrade. It would take 4 hours. We had to pay $180 more. They never told us about an upgrade. Now they said to wait another 4 hours. These people are business killers. How about they pay us for hurting business. I am going to look for another service as I see they are rated #70 and now I know why. Total garbage steer away. Now 7 days they are completely useless. This company is horrible do not use them you will be sorry.
To begin, I think rating of 1.3 is way too generous. Anything above 1 assumes presence of IQ or at least basic competency - that certainly doesn't exist along with customer service. On hold for hours, chat is staffed by people who have no clue how any of this stuff works.
These clowns hyjacked my domain after hosting it for well over a decade. I lost all of my emails with a huge customer base. I jumped through endless trivial hoops only to be left on hold until they closed... day after day. You're a fool if you own a business and let these immature clown host your website/domain. Don't do it...
Answer: I was working with a consultant from the Small Business Development Center when I began my business. She advised me to register my LLC and then to go to Register.com to buy the domain name before anyone else could. Later on, she suggested Register when I was looking for hosting.
