The representative from Ebates Nicole was lovely to deal with fixing the issue I had with an incorrect amount (less than purchase prices) on three of my recent transactions. Why do the star ratings not go into the negatives. Worst, most infuriating online experience ever! Initially ordered on the 3rd of September. 3 days later, I had still not received a conformation email of any sort. So I went back on their site. Turns out my order is on hold. I spend hours on hold waiting to talk to completely unhelpful costumer support reps, OK never mind, I'm not even wasting anymore time on this company. Scam. Every transaction stays listed as "pending" for months (way past the "up to 6 weeks" they claim). They NEVER confirm transactions even though they track them and they're listed right there in my account, until I repeatedly email them. And then they demand an absurd about of documentation to prove the purchases, even though they're tracking everything!
They just hope you don't notice they aren't paying you, and that if you do notice, you won't waste your time proving you made the purchases they already tracked with their spyware.
Also, you will get a worse price on many sites like Agoda if you use Rakuten, so there's absolutely no point dealing with their lies and tricks.
Recently I made a purchass and went through Ebates.com. After a couple of days it didn't show up in my Ebates account so I contacted their customer care. That very day I received a reply to my inquiry and, by the next day, the issue was resolved. My customer care rep was SO helpful and polite and thorough. I am SO pleased with my service. Thank you Ebates. Not only is the refund money nice, but in all ways you have the customer's best interest at heart.

I made 3 big purchases off a certain site that was listed as 2% and 4% on Double Mondays. Anyway after sending them over 3 different wheres my money cases, 2 different times, ebates tells me that they aren't able to give me anything because they didn't receive any commission. They also recently took the store off their site. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? They gave me a $20 gift as a "valued customer" but need to make another purchase off ebates to get it. I should've gotten over $150+ in cash back but ended up with $20 over almost 2 months later.
Last time I bought $184 on GNC online. I entered this website from Ebates, which will give me 5% cash back. After one week, I didn't receive the cash back. So I just send an email to Ebates. The customer care officer of Ebates is so kind that even they have not receive the final confimation from GNC, they still add the cash back to my account after I provide the purchase information and order number. It relief my worry about this cash back. This experience is really nice when using Ebates.
I recently purchased my first Ukulele from Rakuten, and as always, I searched for best deal online. I never shopped from this place before, but I didn't think it would be this bad!
They advertised for Ukulele, case, tuner, beginner's book. And all I received was the Ukulele and the case. Of course, I paid few more bucks for this package, or I would have gotten just the Ukulele with the case.
So I called the customer service, and they didn't even bother to take my information and said ok we will ship you the rest of the product. So I asked, how do you know where to send the goods? And the rep keeps saying, I know it from the phone number you called from. So I trusted the guy, and a month later, nothing!
False advertising and lying straight to customers... ridiculous..
I try to start each online shopping trip by going through Ebates. In a recent last minute effort to use a Kohl's promotional discount, I neglected to enter through their site. After completing my transaction on Kohls.com I realized what I had done, I immediately emailed Ebates to ask if their was anything that could be done. They researched my transaction and, as a courtesy, awarded me the Ebates cash I would have earned. I was truly WOWed. I cannot say enough about their follow through and the timeliness and quality of their customer service communications. I am most definitely a loyal fan for life and will tell anyone who will listen! I forgot to go through Ebates when I place an order at Ulta. I could have kicked myself when I realized what I had done! I contacted Ebates Customer Service and explained what happened. I asked if I could still get the credit. I figured the worst was that they would say no. They responded, almost immediately, and gave me the credit as a one time courtesy. That's what I call great Customer Service!
I spent the $25+ after downloading this app. I received an email saying that my $10 sign up bonus was offered however it's not showing on the app. I emailed customer service and they said send a copy of receipt. They don't care about my issue. They already know how much I spent at which store because it was in my email. If they already have my info and it says my bonus is offered why do they need a receipt. They should want that early on not when I dispute something. I'm uninstalling. Not worth the hassle.
Ebates has been good overall.
However, Motel 6 stays are not getting paid out. The stays are recorded, however, several months later still no Ebates cash back.
Last year my Motel 6 stays took longer than most purchases and travel to pay out, however, this year there is an ongoing problem and it is not being addressed.
They need to review their agreement with Motel 6, and enforse the agreed contact and make the payouts.
I've wanted to buy a pair of Rothy's shoes for a while now, and discovered that they are a partner on the Rakuten.com site, so I ended up getting the shoes and earning cash back from Rakuten in the process! It was super easy and I feel like I got a fantastic deal!

I did not receive a big fat check that had been sent out almost a month ago so I contacted customer service. They told me i had to wait 30 days before they could issue a replacement check. My daughter introduced me to Ebates and not being to computer savvy, I was a little hesitant to try it. But when I tried it, I found it easy, even for a 78 year old person, to navigate through the site. The customer service is wonderful and so helpful.
