I use either www.Raise.com or the Raise app to purchase discounted gift cards before shopping for items I need, either online or in-store. I have encountered some problems with buying a card and finding out afterwards that it had a $0 balance. However, the customer support team is amazing and with their 100 day guarantee, I've yet to lose any money! GREAT APP AND WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SUPPORT!
These guys ask you to run a short "verification process" off of public records! They surprise you with that extra step only AFTER you already gave them your CREDIT CARD information!
In that manor they sell your personal information as a lead to credit companies and marketing firms. I didn't even allow them the option to go on and canceled my order!
BE WARE! Your personal information (which they should not posses, is in DANGER!
I have purchased gift cards worth $3400 to purchase appliances for my new home. I didn't even get half of them in 14 business days which they have mentioned on their website. Tracking information that they provide on the website is completely inaccurate. Tracking information from raise.com shows that some of the cards have been scanned at some USPS location but I got them already. We can't track the cards with USPS website and they themselves don't know where exactly the cards are. Whenever I chat with customer care, they simply point me to the tracking information on the website which is complete nonsense and ask me to wait for 30 days. This is the worst online shopping experience. As of today its already 18 business days and I haven't got all of my gift cards. I have sent emails to support team to investigate what happened to the remaining gift cards which I suppose to get in 14 business days but no response from them. I wonder why they are charging money from the sellers if it is like craigslist.
This company is a total fraud! I purchased a gift card never received it and did not receive a refund either! When I contacted customer support all they told me was "sorry"! I want my money back!
I was new to Raise.com and was pleased with the results. I had placed 2 orders and was placing another for a Kohl's card. I received the following notice-

I have a USA passport but they only ask for non USA
I don't work for the state, I am a professional with my own practice.
I am not going to send a copy of my DL that can be duplicated.
When I called to inquire the reason for the need of verification to purchase gift card for a clothing store, I was told no further orders would be processed w/o verification.
Guess I won't be ordering anymore.
Beware.
I have just been scammed. Bought a Red Lobster gift card on May 4,2015, waited until May 16,2015 to receive it, then checked the card number at Red Lobster before I gave it as a gift. The card had been closed; no money. Now I have the hassle of connecting Raise, and checking with my payment card about this transaction. NEVER AGAIN!
I have purchased several gift cards from Raise and have been very pleased with each purchase. I had a coupon a few times that made the deals out of this world.
They send empty giftcards and refuse to refund saying you used them when you haven't. The customer service is a complete lie and they get joy out of stealing from everyone.
Finn took care of my issue and taught me how to deal with it if/when it happens again!
He even sent me a follow up email telling me to enjoy my meal this evening, so personal!
Thanks for the help!
I had not received a gift card after 2 1/2 weeks so I called and talked to Clark who researched it and then explained to me what was going on. Two days later the card showed up. Thank you Clark.
Raise.com has a trustworthy platform, honest inventories and professional customer support. All of the other gift card sites are hack impersonators. Raise.com sets the standard!
Holly was FANTASTIC. She did a super job taking care of my challenges and everything got handled professionally and in a most timely fashion. Holly is truly one of the best customer care reps I have ever experienced and I have experienced hundreds throughout the years. She truly is the BEST!
I purchased over $2300 in gift cards thru Raise. At first they were fine, but I tried to use one at Outback ($200) and it came up invalid. After six months of fighting (BBB, State Attorney, Federal Consumer Complaint, writing numerous emails, and mailing letters to their head of PR), I finally got a refund, only for it to happen again yesterday! Longhorn gift card was $100, when I called to check it came up invalid, so I called back and spoke to someone, they were helpful in telling me the card was purchased with a fraudulent credit card and the funds were removed and I would have to deal with the 3rd party reseller (Raise.com) So I called and got nice rep, but of course they couldn't help past the "100 day guarantee) then I asked to speak to a manager, and got the same line. I am determined to fight this in the hopes they change their policy to help us all that have been cheated.
This is review of another fraud cinemark card, I chat with Jane, and she give back the refund and get it processed in one chat session, great service and response
I buy a lot of discount gift cards and have been buying them for YEARS. I have never had such GREAT customer service as I did today from a gal named Blair at Raise.com. When I needed QUICK service and an understanding representative no other online discount card site came through as quickly as Raise.com. I am disappointed in other sites, but this site gets a five star plus review from ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER! Buying cards from them, IS A PLEASURE!
Let me say first that in a month and a half, I've already saved over $300 in cash! I've told countless people about Raise, and I stand by how amazing it is.
Recently I had ordered $100 worth of Taco Bell and KFC gift cards, and for the first time I received cards that didn't work. I informed Raise, and in less than 24 hours I had a full refund.
All I can say is that you have NOTHING to lose and EVERYTHING to gain. Consider it saved money, risk free!
NEVER EVER EVER Use this company! I sold my gift card on this site and they still haven't paid me. Everything upfront was smooth sailing. I listed them, they sold but when it came time for them to pay me all the games started. They wanted to know where I got the cards, what i did for a living, do I travel for work ect... But odd they didn't want to know any of this BEFORE I sold them it was only a concern when it came time for them to PAY ME, Still waiting for my money! I will NEVER use this scam site again!
I have been maximizing my dollars' worth through using gift cards from RAISE.COM
I have made many, many, many purchases, and the several incidents where gift cards arrived with no balance - they were handled promptly and money refunded once cards were returned to RAISE and verified. I recommend this site to anyone. Since I am spending anyway, I prefer to spend up to 28% LESS.
Aretha was extremely courteous and helpful. Could not have been nicer and resolved my problem. Give this fabulous lady a pat on the back and have a big bonus for her in the other hand when you do.
I asked a question about my check and received a quick response from one of the Raise team members, Finn. He looked into the matter for me and even emailed me later following up.
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
Answer: Susan, we're sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. Can you please send an email to member.success@raise.com with the email address associated with your account so that we can look into this for you?
