Unless you want to lose money, don't go near these guys. Sold a gift card for over $200 and waited about a month, and they are refusing to give me my money. I already uploaded an ID but they said it didn't meet their guidelines for some reason. The reason is, so they could steal my money. They replied that it is due to a mismatch in account information. That is just their stock reply, because the receipt, 2 forms of ID, my bank account, and credit card were all verified. You have no idea how much verification they required. My phone number was also verified. They are a scam company. AVOID THEM. I have to go through a huge hassle trying to take them to small claims court.
I bought several cards from Raise.com. Some are good. The others are not usable. Its customer service is not very flexible. When you buy from them, you always run the risk of whether the card is authentic and can be used in store!
Fantastic, friendly, and fast service from Lizzy.
I messed up a few times in interrupting her but she was so kind and didn't yell at me for it. I didn't do it on purpose, I just have difficulty talking on the phone without interrupting people. Despite this, Lizzy never made me feel bad about it and I thank her greatly for her patience and assistance.
They ignore my emails after I've asked for a refund on a gift card that has not been activated. I will have to resolve this issue through my credit card. FYI, if you're going to buy from them know that there is a no return policy for any reason.
Hi Michelle L.,
We were able to verify that the gift card had been activated, and we apologize for any misunderstanding. We’ve since issued a refund for the full amount. If there is anything else we can help you with, please reach out to us right away.
Thank you,
Raise Member Support
I bought about 10,000.00 in ticketmaster gift cards over a period of 2 months. After I started using them to buy tickets for my business, I find out most of the cards were fraudulently purchased. So ticketmaster cancelled my orders and in some cases I already resold the tickets, so this is a very bad situation. They will not refund me and I get a run around when I call. I might have to hire a lawyer here. VERY BAD COMPANY.
Raise's guarantee was absolutely flawless in my experience. Within an hour of receiving my Taco Bell gift card, I checked online the balance only to discover it has a zero balance. After getting on the phone with Raise, they were able to check the gift card balance on their end and they confirmed the same thing I encountered. Immediately after seeing this they issued a refund. The safety and confidence in the Raise system the reason I will return.
Raise is simply excellent. Orders are processed super fast, I can often buy an electronic gift card and have it ready to use on my phone before I'm done shopping. Better yet, their customer service cannot be beat. I had a problem with one card, I emailed them late at night and within MINUTES I already had a refund! I couldn't believe it!
My experience has been very good, however with all the fraud going on and the phishing e-mails, I would recommend that when you ask a client to call back to speak about an order, you give the toll free number listed on the website and have an option for the security area they need to reach. I did not recognize the 312 number given, therefore I called the 888 number and when they tried to transfer me, I got hung up on.
If this issue was corrected, Raise would get a 5!
I have to say, I did enjoy Raise at the beginning. They had a lot of selection, and their website was well designed. However, their customer service is absolutely horrible. They are impossible to talk to, they took 6 weeks to respond to my emails, and there are no exceptions to any other their stringent policies.
I truly appreciate the speed of service from Raise Customer Support.
I buy from other gift card suppliers, but if Raise has the same merchant gift cards, and they are reasonably close in price, then I prefer Raise above all others. The one year guarantee and great customer support is what makes the difference for me.
HORRIBLE! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
I got the card with wrong pin number and the customer service is telling me they can check the balance so it has to be good, I asked her the purpose of buying the card is for checking the balance or to be used? She was basically telling me it is my problem. Looks like I would not see the refund coming neither. I have to file a fraud!
After many years, I have to give the credit back to Raise. They became so much better now. And every shipment is very reliable. I have given them one more chance after last review because an accident and I believe I have talked to another customer service and they did fix the problem. After all, never problem again.
Despite reading the poor reviews here I decided to take a chance and went ahead and purchased Home Depot gifts cards for a high value of $900. My experience was perfect. I received the codes and pins within a couple of hours of paying and used them on the Home depot website with no problem... it was great to save some money!
How the website works is the giftcards on this site are sold to you by individuals and Raise acts as a third party. I have no doubt that some people have a bad experience and that is really a sad shame. But keep in mind that most people take the time to write a review when they have a bad experience, that is why I took time to write my review too. GOOD LUCK!
I would like to thank Raise.com customer services for their excellent support. I was having a problem using one of the gift card I brought from Raise. Customer care representative Fawn took care of my issue immediately and was very helpful. I would definitely continue to buy from your company again.
I would not recommend selling your gift cards on this site. They will debit your account in a heart beat and always takes the buyers side over the sellers side. Even though we are the ones making the company money. Look for an alternative. There are plenty other options. I have been a seller on raise for a long time. They dont care about the fact you have been a bulk seller with a high success rate. This company doesnt give a crap apparently about the buyer or seller. BEWARE!
Santino did an excellent job assisting me with resolving the situation I had called about. He was polite, thorough, and very efficient. I received an e-mail soon after after our phone conversation confirming what Raise had done to resolve the matter.
Raise can be trusted. I purchased various gift cards from Raise for almost a year now and delivery is always fast and reliable. Ecards are sent within a few minutes of purchase and can be used instantly. I saved a lot using gift cards bought from Raise. What I especially appreciate is that customer service is great and they'll really go out of their way to help. I had an issue with one gift card that I had for some time and was already beyond the 100% money-back guarantee period but Raise offered to refund me 100%. Refund was also very prompt. I didn't really have a negative experience. I am very satisfied with Raise.
If you don't have any issues with buy or selling cards, Raise is a good site to buy gift cards. But whenever you have questions or issues on your account. You usually have to waiting on the phone more than 30 minutes (in average) to get answered by a customer service based on my three time call experience.
We have had trouble with our mail not being delivered, and Daisy at Raise.com has worked so hard to make sure we get our order. She has been extremely patient and helpful as we have tried to remedy our delivery situation. I am very impressed with the customer service I have received and will definitely make future purchases from Raise.com.
I bought 2 $100 Dunkin Donuts gift cards from raise.com and when I went to use them Dunkin Donuts said they were not valid. I called customer support and they issues a refund, but told me that they just assume gift cards are good and dont really know unless a customer calls to complain. Good thing I called to complain before 100 days were up or Raise.com would not have helped me.
Raise contacted us and made good on all of our issues! They reissued our discounts and listened to our concerns about seller ratings.
(First time I ordered a Chipotle gift card, which we received but went inactive after 4 times of using it. Next, we tried a Yogurtland gift card, which we never received. Then we tried to place an order that was cancelled immediately because of a duplicate address. There is no seller transparency.)
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
Answer: Susan, we're sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. Can you please send an email to member.success@raise.com with the email address associated with your account so that we can look into this for you?
Raise has a rating of 2.8 stars from 987 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Raise most frequently mention gift card, business days and next day. Raise ranks 6th among Gift Cards sites.
Hi Josh, sorry about this experience. Unfortunately, due to the mismatch in account information, we had requested additional verification to validate this payment. Please don't hesitate to send us an email to member.success@raise.com and we'd be happy to work towards a solution!
