Don't waste time commenting and explaining with the best factual data and proves that you have as eventually, the loser who argued with you would report your answers repeatedly and boom. You're blocked! Just detach the quora account from your email or FB, logout and never look back. It's fully of $#*!ty stuff.
Many people claim of the liberal bias within quora. Well I can tell you, coming from a progressive Democrat as myself, I actually agree. That may come as a shock but I found that quora seems to be a popularity contest. It seems to be the Super cocky Elite tend to "win" in terms of which answers are placed at the top. Of course quora corporate will say that they have an algorithm that is fair but all it takes is about a month on the site to realize that there is a unfair bias. Quora uses favoritism and actually has a system that gives more Merit to certain people that give up votes than others. Imagine voting in an election and your vote carries more weight. Not cool right? Well, take the answers on quora with a grain of salt. From my experience, I found that the answers with maybe four or five up votes are the most reasonable Solutions the most people's queries. The ones with 2.3 thousand votes, you might want to avoid them.
I would like to see the statistics of how many questions from India gets highlighted and paid compared to questions by Americans. This site has been hijacked by foreigners and they are getting paid disproportionately at the expense of American questioners and answerers while they make most of their advertising dollars from the backs of American users.
When you get popular and big enough with enough followers or readers to threaten or question their hidden Indian monopoly like reviewer Mark W. You will be sanctioned suspended or deleted by very opaque moderators working in their tech department. Brings up another question. How many of these moderators working in their tech unit is Indian? Do the original founders of quora knows their site has been hijacked? Do they care?
I made an account at Quora to ask a simple question and almost immediately was accused by the staff of "hate speech."
My question was "Why is fat-shaming men more acceptable than fat-shaming women?"
Immediately, my question was altered, without my permission, to "Is it ever okay to fat-shame women?"
I was also "warned" that my question had "violated Quora's policy on being nice."
The site is a joke.
Quora forces you to sign up, it lays up a window which blurs everything behind. You can still read but it's a hassle. It also makes them very suspicious. The good thing is there are various workarounds to disable the pesky window that appears to block you from reading or blurring everything behind it.
Yahoo Answers lets you look at their website without having to sign up. The only difference between them is Quora has less trolls, but Yahoo Answers has more content. Either way, you can't trust much answers in both of those websites.
After answering and commenting on enough political questions to be noticed, commenters started calling me names more and more. Stupid and ignorant are the left's favorites.
Then they started saying I misunderstood the question or was using wrong word definitions. I started copying and pasting word definitions into my answers and citing the dictionary. They said I was using the wrong word. I gave examples of Socialism, which triggered one woman who reported my answer as being threatening. The example involved a fruit tree and the equal distribution of the fruit. As the person who did all the work, the grower only got as much fruit as everyone else and her profits were taken. No violence. She reported me after she promised me and my kind would be trampled to death by some crap I forget.
It's gotten quite frightening for me to check my notifications. I am going to delete my account and never use Quora again. They've leaned so far left its like the View.
I sometimes read Quora emails out of boredom. One woman wanted to call her baby Khutie Pie because, it was unique. My reply was that I said - poor baby having a stupid mother. I was unable to comment after that because I have violated their rules. Some of the swearing on the site would make a sailor blush, the stupid questions people ask and the long winded answers, these are the people who should have their rights on Quora to be taken away. I guess Quora want idiots on their site to keep them in business.
Moderators refuse to provide "reason" for deleting posts that question Democrat/Liberal positions. And, some moderators accept my comments after review, and some don't. Obviously run by political hacks.
This site is ridiculous. It asks people for opinions and answers to questions but then censors your answers to death because what they really want is mindless drones who parrot and support the status quos and Agendas. Quora is a terrible Joke and the people behind it are way too frail to run a site like that. I only gave them 1 star because you have to give at least one but this site doesn't deserve any stars at all.
Quora is a great example of what a totalitarian website would look like. Censorship, blocking, down voting, and just plain banning are all part of their business plan. Quora may never become a beacon for intellectual thought, but it would have been nice if it hadn't digressed into a site for narrow, like minded bigots.
Quora is an ok webiste. Everyone is talking about the issues with moderation but i'm annoyed with the lack of educated individuals. I thought it would be filled with many people willing to help but only some are helpful. I'm also tired of random people requesting my answer to things. I understand that i write about figure skating a lot but i have no clue how to explain long division to you Janet!
It's almost like in every post there is a certain herd pushing a certain type of view and if it isn't popular then it just gets downvoted and "edited." Not only that, but any time there is a controversial subject, people (who may not even have experience in that area) speak as if you are an idiot. It's like they just wanna listen to themselves talk all day.
I submitted a simple two-sentence answer to a question. On submit it popped up a comment that my answer was inadequate and needed a number of fixes. I've been writing online since 2001, and a robot is telling me my work isn't up to snuff? Not going back.
If you make any kind of comment supporting Trump, or anything negative about Democrats, your comments are deleted. If you list actual quotes by famous people showing support for Trump, you are deleted.
They don't like facts. If you post facts supporting your position, you are deleted.
They don't want honest discourse.
I've marked their site as SPAM, so I hopefully, will not get bothered by them any longer.
A total trash site.
If you want a site to be unsafe and potentially get kidnapped and ask questions, Quora is for you! They take your safety and step on it. Any site asking for your full name and making it public, they are most likely trying to kidnap you, remember be safe on the internet because Quora may seem safe but if your username is valid but they think your name is fake, they tell you to put in your real name.
It's garbage and they're from Ca. It figures. This is an extreme liberal radical website. They post inhuman photos and vile language. They fit the liberal mold and promoting hate, rage, and war-like behavior. It makes your stomach turn.
Signing up for a Quora.com account is $#*!ED. You stick me in a signup schema that includes selecting a number of required topics of interest. That's a deal breaker. Give the user credit for identifying their own interests as they use the app platform.
The moderators persistently delete almost every comment they find as being conservative, without any reason. Same way, they ban every conservative person, at some point, if they see that it doesn't convert itself to the left wing. At the same time, left wingers can write whatever they want. They can insult, terrorize, even call to lynch you, and the moderators do nothing against it. I suggest that every even slightly conservative person stays away from Quora, it is a cesspool of SJWs, hypocritical communists and left wing moderators with god complex.
Quora is a site for leftists to have their opinions reinforced by other leftists. They not only do not want, but will not allow for differing opinions. That being said I'm not sure what the point of an open forum is if only certain approved ideas are allowed. So now I have some idea of what a communist reeducation camp was like.

Answer: Yes, the questions about penis size and virginity seems to sponsor endless discussion!
Answer: Because Google put Quora answers at the top of their search results when people search for a question they see the answer from Quora. Which is stupid because most answers on Quora aren't even correct lol. Idk why Google wants to promote that site, if they own it or they want to buy it and incorporate it into Google at some point. I think the site is awful and it should be shut down because it's just a propaganda site. You do not see Quora from any other search engine for example duckduckgo. But you see it in Google.
Answer: No, it is obviously leftist but it does on occasion allow questions or replies for short periods of time that are obviously uncomfortable to the "politicaly correct" crowd in a useless attempt to appear unbiased.
Answer: I honestly feel and highly suspect from certain traits that Quora pays Google to be high on the rank and they get *buddy buddy* with the government. Quora is essentially too big to fail. We no longer have capitalism but now live under governmentism which Trump pledges to end but can he? Does he really mean what he says? That is the million $ question.
Quora has a rating of 1.5 stars from 612 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Quora most frequently mention social media, hate speech and left wing. Quora ranks 79th among Question And Answer sites.
