Complete scam artists, charged us £500 to "help fill forms out" and then find out have to pay another £550 court fees which they failed to tell us
DO NOT RECOMMEND
It's taking way too long. Two-three years and nothing. What can we do to just get it done yesterday. (should have done 2 years ago!)
Terrible company to deal with. Try to trick customers into forfeiting their legal right to 14 day refund. I cancelled within 24 hours, having not used the service or even logged in and asked for a refund as is my right within the distance selling regulations. Quickie Divorce are refusing to issue refund 3 weeks later. They keep putting up barriers: asked me to create and activate the online account and submit a complaint (there wasn't even an option to submit the complaint once logged in), stating I need to wait 28 days for them to review the case, providing misleading information, sending me to another website to create a second account to submit the complaint (which didn't work and just showed an error upon submitting details), saying someone will call back (but never did). They keep saying they are unable to issue a refund. They are breaking consumer law and I feel I have been scammed.
The main thing here, as highlighted in other reviews is the disgraceful tactic of forcing customers to log into the service and activate it in order to request a refund, and in the process having to tick a box to forfeit the 14 day distance selling refund to access the account and be able to even request a refund (see attached email correspondence). THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN BY TRADING STANDARDS.
Quickie divorce were so helpful and supportive. They were there when i needed to know things i didnt understand. A very professional group of people.
Do not waive your 14 day cooling off period.
I have a complaint with the system of logging in. You are asked to waive your 14 day cooling off period to proceed.
In my case, once logged in I was asked to go to the government website to get the court number to proceed. And this was the part that had been tricky for me, which is why I thought I needed help, but once I did go on the Gov.uk website again, I sailed through the procedure myself quite easily within 30 mins.
I had paid £67 for nothing, the very next day I applied for a refund and was told to go to log in to a special complaint procedure of which I already knew was going to be a waste of time. I phoned today (5 weeks later) after not hearing back, and was told I was sent an email as to the decision. (It was resent)
" Prior to accessing the questionnaire you are required to agree the Terms & Conditions it requires acceptance of this and it instructs internet visitors to refrain from using our website or services if they do not agree to the relevant conditions. We note from your account that after purchase you logged into your account and specifically agreed to our Terms and Conditions. This enabled you to have access to software, advice and services delivered as part of your purchase."
My advice is to try your best to see if the government website is easy. (It was for me after my 2nd attempt)
I do feel cheated, because it was so easy by the government website. But know that it can be more complicated for others.
And yet I waived my 14 day cooling off period because of feeling I was so desperate for help. (And so this is on me).
So hope others look to be more cautious and not click on the "waive your 14 day cooling off period.
An efficient and economical solution for our situation given our divorce was amicable. I would recommend the services of Quickie Divorce.
Having recently applied for a divorce using quickie divorce I have now found out theyre only intrested in your money.
I was told by a member of staff that I could file for a divorce through these on the "breakdown of marriage" rules.
I know I couldn't got for a 2 year separation divorce, adultery divorce or unreasonable behaviour the only thing I could go for was breakdown of marriage.
Anyway after being told i can go ahead (by an employee) with the divorce I paid the money, after this I logged onto my account to get the ball rolling (only option I could go for was adultery) as the breakdown of marriage wasn't an option.
Filled out the first questionnaire it got sent back (I can't file adultery).
Well within my 14 day cancelation period I asked for a refund as this service couldnt help me out.
Sorry no refund can be given as ive already accepted the terms and conditions because logged into the account and used their tools' after many emails im still getting told I cant have a refund,
Then they email me back with terms and conditions clauses. Still well within my 14 day period and still getting nothing
Keep away, don't use whatsoever,
Ripoffs, scammers not got a clue about their own terms and conditions they lay out to us during the refund process
Than at was the advisor I chatted with and they were prompt with all questions I asked and very thorough too.
Very easy to access help from online chat, and explained clearly what i have done and what is going to happen next.
I dont know where all the good reviews come from on their website, but dig further & you'll see all the terrible reviews
Was brilliant! All of my questions were answered and all information was sent over. A very efficient service
Realized I was up against a deadline to submit some docs to court: contacted EL in a panic and they sorted me out in an hour.
A few parts of my questionnaire didn't transfer over so got in touch with the online chat. All sorted now though...she was fab
Always there to answer all your queries, long process but there at every stage of the way.
Efficient helpful service and all my questions answered clearly and promptly- sensitive too
Answer: Wouldn't touch them with a very long barge pole. Just do it yourself or use a solicitor. Good liuck X
