I have ordered from PureBulk in the past and I was very happy with the products and service. Recently, I ordered White Willow Bark Powder from another company and took it according to the directions on the packaging, "Pour 1 cup of boiling water over ¼ to ½ teaspoonful of powder. Drink 1-2 cups of tea daily." Based off of what I know of the powder, their max daily recommendation would roughly be around 3,000mg. I had a severe migraine and my stomach hurt pretty bad. I called the company and found that they do not standardize their powder so I had no way of knowing how much was safe to take and how much salicin was in each dose. I stopped immediately and began searching again on-line. I just wish that I knew PureBulk sold the extract before I made my other purchase. Since I already know I trust PureBulk in the other products I take, I decided to switch all the other herbs over to PureBulk as well just for the simple fact that I know what I am getting, even if prices seem higher for some herbs. An example would be their Turmeric. It is a lot higher priced that other Turmeric extracts I have purchased in the past. The difference here is that you know how much Curcumin extract you are getting. Therefore, the price reflects their quality as well so price to me is not worth niggling over.
Many powders are overpriced by a large margin.
