PureBulk Customer Service contacted me by phone today, apologized for sending me to the Quality department, and provided a return shipping label. They are refunding the Magnesium, and am hoping they will also refund the Vitamin C, which I am sending back as well. Unfortunately, the package going back is too large (over 15 oz) for a mailbox, so it will take a trip to the post office when they open back up after the Holidays.

The company is highly rated, so I was surprised when 500g of Magnesium Citrate arrived without a hint of acidity. Correctly formulated Magnesium Citrate is 50% citric acid, a very tart substance. Instead of simply sending refund/exchange information as requested, their customer representative wrote a nice paragraph implying how the various magnesium citrate ( from pharmacies and online) I've used for the last 25 years were probably not pure or made differently. This company has been, by far, the most difficult online vitamin vendor I've ever dealt with and to struggle for a $9.75 return means no repeat business.
