This site is a TOTAL scam.
They supposedly tried to contact me about my win (they claim Friday Saturday and Sunday) because I had the wrong card number on file. When I got the text and email FINALLY, Monday, I immediately replied, apologized and explained our area was destroyed by Hurricane Ian and we had spent the past week trying to salvage anything we could. I asked where an invoice could be paid (because there was never anything shown as bought in my account so I assumed I lost the time) and verified the cost and shipping cost to send all together, and got a rude text back about how they won't let me pay for my item and blocked me on the site. I literally got NO email OR text about the payment supposedly needed until late Sunday night-early Monday morning. I have NEVER in my life seen such unprofessionalism in... my... life.
Also, every reply they give on BBB and other sites is a total lie. And a sad attempt at saving face. All over the internet there are reviews and posts about this site being a scam. All those people can't be wrong... there isn't ONE POSTIVEI REVIEW about this place ANYWHERE. BEWARE
There are sooo many other auction sites nowadays, do yourself a favor and stay FAR FAR FAR AWAY from this scam of a site!
Some auctions companies are doing shill bidding and Proxibid supports them because of the revenue they generate to Proxibid.
Very easy to use and a great selection of items to buy! I found something for my NASCAR collection on one auction and some jewelry for my wife on another auction!
These scumbags are the lowest form of auction co platforms. They do not care if one of there scumbag auction Co's rip you off on shipping and fees and description!. The descriptions are $#*! and if the auction co wants to they will not sell you the item if you get to good of a deal. Lowlifes bastards! BUYER BEWARE YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF! ITS JUST A MATTER OF TIME. COUNT ON IT
I have been bidding and buying on Proxibid for a couple of years
And have always been satisfied with the selections, accuracy of
Descriptions and service.
ITS NOT PROXIBID, ITS THE SELLERS. THE COIN SELLERS ARE ALLOWED TO ADVERTISE "GRADES" AND "VALUES" IN BOLD COLORFUL SHINY ADVERTS ON EACH COIN. OF COURSE THE FINE PRINT ABSOLVES THEM OF ANY RESPONSIBILITY. ITS A TOTAL AND COMPLETE SCAM. BUYER BEWARE ANYTIME YOU PURCHASE A COIN ON PROXIBID, CHANCES ARE YOURE GOING TO GET SCREWED.
Always fun looking for bargains that may or may not be overlooked.
Shipping has been very good as well. Items arrive in great shape.
Well pleased with proxibid, easy to use and fast replies, well deserved for a top notch rating. Plan on using it again very soon like tomorrow.
Awesome auction media, gives easy access to pretty good items you can get for great prices and the feedback section is very useful and trustworthy!
Signing up was fast easy and worked great! And we were still able to pay cash for our items at time of pickup.
ProxiBid is fun and easy to use. The search engine lets you hunt through the hundreds of auctions for your perfect treasure.
Smooth bidding, Easy use of web service. Wonderful customer service. Fast response with receipts. I would recommend this site to anyone.
I submitted a pre-bid online for 18 cast iron plates, Lot 172, at an auction on March 3,2016 in Tracy, California with Surplus Asset Management (SAM) and it was passed over. When I posted online during the live bidding what happened to this lot I bid on immediately after the lot was "passed", the written reply stated this lot was grouped with another lot. I checked later my Watch List link and it erroneously states "I passed this lot" when I never did. After the auction was finished I saw online this Lot 172 was never grouped with another lot per the written reply by the consignor and instead was shown as not sold. So, I was lied to about the items being grouped with another lot and the Proxibid website erroneously showed I passed this lot when I never did. I called the Proxibid Phoenix, Arizona office and was told the consignor probably just changed it's mind during the live auction. I don't understand why not just tell me the truth instead of just trying to lie about the pulled lot. So, for you future bidders be aware SAM and Proxibid during an online auction will not only spontaneously pull a listed lot, but will thereafter lie about it later that it was grouped and then incorrectly put on your Watch list YOU decided to pass it. Very frustrating and deceiving. Just tell the truth please SAM and Proxibid, and the integrity of your auctions will not be so abismal!
Great format. Auction starts on time and goes at a good pace. Billing comes straight away. A pleasure to do business with Jim Bennett and his crew.
Firearms are not accurately described. Generally in worse condition than described. Shipping time from bigger sales is extremely long.
Always good products sold thru Proxibid. I can reliy on Proxibid to sell items of interest, quality, and priced right Many of the items I am looking for, I can find on Proxibid.
Auction, everything worked as described. Will continue to use because it is very convenient and runs very smoothly.
Absolutely wonderful way to attend an auction without leaving the house. Plus you can rest assured that everything is on the up and up!
Proxibid makes bidding on a variety of auction easy and secure. I've been very pleased with the several vehicles I've won through Proxibid.
What a great idea! Such a wonderful experience, fun to shop; so many possibilities! I have recommended it to my friends, who agree.
Answer: You can end up winning the item anywhere between your initial bid and your high bid. Very often we see the pre-bids are outbid, especially if there is a live onsite crowd. Best advice is to put only the amount you feel good about paying and not a dollar more. When you can, participate live. Not only is it fun, but you can enter your bids as the increments go up. Always be sure your computer is working, close things you do not need running in the background. Also, keep in mind if your max bid is 500, someone onsite might win it for 500-dollars and you are outbid, even though the dollar amount is the same. This happens when you are the highest bidder at 475 and the last bidder happens to be someone in the crowd at 500-dollars. In those cases, it might be good for the person running the Proxibid application to know that you are a max bidder for 500 as well, so they can fight to get your bid in first, before an onsite ringer beats you to it. At that point the onsite bidder has to outbid you for 525, if that is what the increment still is. When you are live online it's really a lot of fun and probably makes much more sense, especially when there is audio, what is going on and why you might be paying your max. If you ever feel treated unfairly as an online bidder, contact Proxibid and also contact the auctioneer for whatever company you are using and ask how you ended up at your max. Hope this helps! Proxibid is supposed to be a fun, easy and enjoyable experience.

Answer: Daniel C., Thank you for using SiteJabber to reach Proxibid. Proxibid is an online platform that allows Buyers and Sellers to connect and purchase highly valued items ("Listing(s)") via several selling formats including, but not limited to, live and timed auctions ("Event(s)"). When an individual creates a buyer account ("Buyer"), they must acknowledge and agree to the Proxibid Unified User Agreement ("UUA"). Listings on the Proxibid platform are managed by separate business entities ("Seller(s)"). When a bid is placed by a Buyer on a Listing, the Buyer enters into an agreement with the Seller via the Seller's Terms of Sale ("ToS"). Each Seller will have their own way in which to accept payments. Some Sellers do in fact take PayPal. To make sure a Seller's Event you plan to participate in accepts PayPal, we suggest that you review their ToS or contact the seller directly. We hope this information answers your question.
