The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.

There are better ways to rent a car at the same price without the risk of losing your money. Priceline entices you with a deeper discount, but does not reveal the company. Once you accept the offer, you find that you could have gotten the same offer from the car company directly, and without the risk of no refund. I'm glad I learned this lesson and am only out $166. For a car rental. If you go to Priceline, review the rates and then rent from the car company directly. This way, you can cancel without risking your money.
I did an order from Price-line to hotel in Las Vegas. The thing is that they always write in the payment summery if more fee (resort fee) should be pay at the hotel. I choose the hotel I've booked within my budget so the final price was suit to me and it didn't had a resort fee. The final price was paid fully to them. But than when i checked out the hotel charged me over $221 resort fee! I was choked as it is a lot of money and i go with this hotel as it didn't had a resort fee mention as Price Line always do.
I contacted Price line with no help of course and they just send me to their fine print that of course cover them.
Very bad experience.
I made a reservation for nov. 4 through 11th through price line. It stated that I had until Nov. 11th to cancel without being charged. They charges my card on oct. 3oth for the full amount. The email confirmation that they send to your email, they changed it and that email stated that they will charge you for the entire amount. I should have printed it before with the nov. 3rd cancellation date on it. There should be a law against this!
Everytime I speak with folks from India or non American staff they always seem to sound high and don't listen to the information given. The last told me to check my flight status online and call back if anything changes when the whole phone call was about my flight being cancelled. I basically had to walk the guy through on how to do his job "customer service". FFS
Booked trip with flight and hotel. Was told I would be able to select seats after booking. Was told after I paid, the flights were not eligible for seat selection. Prieceline refuses to refund my money. Or book seats.
Wife & I drove to Louisville, KY taking care of a family member who doesn't have long to live while there my wife had to fly back to Georgia so we book a one-way flight from Louisville, KY to Atlanta, GA when we receive the email conf. It was showing a flight from New Orleans to Atlanta. Priceline (Thief-line) and Spirit (Devil Airline) would no correct the computer mistake. When you are selecting cities on Priceline site Louisville is not next to New Orleans. Both customer services were worst then worst. I'm now fighting them thru American Express.
We then purchase a ticket American so that my wife can get back to Georgia.
Will never use there services ever.
Don't ever use this website. They're not very clear and screw up your reservation. I process my reservation then the hotel show different dates I immediately called back and they wouldn't make any corrections. I was stuck paying for a trip I didn't even get to use. I immediately called back
Scammers... horrible customer service. Refused a refund 2 hours after booking required by federal law. Threaten me with fees and penalties if I complain or request a refund. When I did they gave my credit card information to the hotel that charged me 171 dollars in bogus fees not mentioned in the policy as retaliation. Hotel was dirty and filthy with piss stains on the mattress
If a Hotel is not available for the dates concerned do not advertise it. The 4 star Hotel in Waikiki central looks like an amazing value only to find out it is apparently sold out and has been for weeks now? Remove that Hotel Priceline! Directly under is an available 4 star hotel for even cheaper which looks like a good deal in comparison for those that do not know Waikiki but is in a much inferior drug infested area. Bait and switch with the goal to fill the much harder to fill hotel in the bad area. Creative? No, SLEEEZY! Better places to shop than PRICELINE. SEE YA.
Complete any booking on Priceline and they disappear. They confirm your card will not be charged until your at the rental counter and before you hang up your card has been charged. Deceitful and greedy..
When I started it said free cancelation, no credit card needed for the reservation. However, when I try to make the reservation, a credit card was needed. Second, after making the reservation, my situation change and I needed the car one day earlier but was told that there are restrictions on the reservation, no changes allow and that my card was already charged and there is no refund allow. There was nothing that could be done.
(I made this reservation for my brother)
I hate to lose money. I hate to be lied to, but most of all, I despise being played for a fool.
You can expect all 3 of the above services from Priceline.
Then, after they have clearly done all 3 of these things, and you've submitted your paperwork to dispute it, they send back their non-cancellation policy ( that you were never shown or told of), and win the dispute.
There is a reason that an American company, would have all of its corporate offices in another country.
Try to sue them and you have to go there!
Worst company ever
I used this site to book a hotel, spent over $250 on my total stay. Had a family emergency, and Priceline basically told me to go shove it. I now do NOT get any of that $250 back, nor will I be staying at the hotel.
The representative I chatted with resent a "Booking confirmation page" to my email with a NEW orange text "Non-Refundable" text box that was not there when I checked out originally.
This site is crap, and now I'm facing some financial struggles between not getting my money back and the family emergency.
Said free cancellation available - no risk. Less than 24 hours, it won't let me cancel... I got a hold of priceline, they said it depends on rate/room... Clearly did not say that where it said free cancellation. Otherwise I would of waited to book. Over $80, I will now be switching apps
I booked a two night hotel stay through Priceline.com back in August. I clearly booked a "two bedroom suite". I checked in to the Residence Inn today at 3pm and was given a king studio. Not even close to what I booked. After a very short chat session that got me nowhere, I called Priceline. I spent 47 minutes in the phone for nothing. Not a thing they could do for me. Didn't even offer a partial refund for the lesser room. So what good are they? Don't get me wrong, it's a nice clean room. However it is not what I booked and paid for in advance!
My wife and I booked a hotel and wanted to change it because we accidentally booked the wrong date. We called them right away, waited over 90 minutes to even speak to a manager who replied: "sorry we can't change the date". She didn't even try to do anything about it or accommodate us in any way. They don't even have a cancellation policy in place which is really unprofessional. Terrible company.
I sit here in tears because of their negligence. I will not get to see family before they transition, and they have my funds tied up where I have no other options. They allowed me to rent a car after verifying I only had a debit card., but when,, I get to the venue HAVE TO HAVE A MAJOR CREDIT CARD. THEN CHARGED ME A CANCELLATION FEE. I CANCELLED NOTHING! I WAMY WHAT I PAID FOR DO I CAN SEE MY FAMILY
Do not rent anything through this site. Even if you explain to them that you are going through a hardship and will not be renting a car to go home, they will not refund any money that you put towards your trip. $400 dollars down the drain I guess. What a $#*! show...
They are horrible to work with
They are horrible to work with. Talked to the "manager" that just said sorry. The would not put the book in in my name since my wife booked it. Talked to them a lot since it was a discount price they would not, not that they could not do it. Very rude
I reserved my room hotel with them at bahia Resort. First I checked the prices on the internet and priceline had the "best prices". They gave me a price but I had to recalled them because I was not sure. When I called again the prices were higher (2 minutes ago) and I was trying to reserve my room ASSAP but the woman on the phone was very slow and my prices again were more higher again! I was very angry for her inefficient service and she couldnt give me the last price. So I called again with another person and he gave me a better price. (At the same day, same company).
At the end I had to pay almost the doubble but I had to. I waste 2 hours with them!
Then, at the hotel they gave me another room (I reserved a garden view rooom and they gave me a lobby view) so I had to negotiate. And the people of the hottel told me to reserve directly with them next time because people always have similar problems.
I will never make any purchase with priceline!
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
