NEVER USE PRICELINE or BEWARE of their fraudulent tactics. I searched on Priceline for an all-inclusive resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico and in my search I was very clear in my search that I wanted rooms for 2 adults and the results came back and each room showed that it slept 2. However, watch out they won't tell you until you "buy" that they are only giving you the room at the advertised price for 1 person with the little disclaimer that "hotel may charge a fee for additional persons." The hotel can charge whatever amount they want and they will not disclose that to you. I immediately called Priceline to complain about the switch that they pulled and they would not refund me or speak with me about it. BEWARE of the NON-REFUNDABLE language all over their siteif they were offering a legitimate service for a good value WHY DO THEY NEED TO MAKE IT NON-REFUNDABLE? Priceline told me to call the hotel and so I did. However, the hotel told me that 2 people come with every room so I figured we were ok. Well, I'm here in Mexico now with my family with 3 rooms and the hotel was going to throw me out unless I paid $2,200 more for my additional 2 people that came with us. I WILL NEVER USE PRICELINE AGAIN NOR STAY AT ONE OF THESE CONNECTED ALL-INCLUSIVE RIP OFF RESORTS. PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WITH YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. By the way, we are staying at the Occidental Xcaret All-Inclusive Resort in Playa del Carmen and the hotel sucks and the management is in co-hoots with Priceline because they say there is nothing they can do about our purchase through Priceline. This is very similar to the TimeShare SCAM if you have ever heard about that... it's a shame folks can earn a living the honest way anymore.

I booked a car for 4 days through Priceline and in the online discussion Priceline told me I could change the dates of rental if needed
I called them and just tried to modify the rental length and they said they would not do so and would not provide any return or credit - the opposite of what they had told me on the phone.
I had received from Priceline a 1 page confirmation of rental, but not the contract. On my call with Priceline they said that the contract would not allow reservation modification - different from verbal representation on call - and Priceline said they would not send me the contract that they claim includes this language. Its a catch 22 - extremely frustrating and dishonest. Terrible service. Fraudulent misrepresentation - NEVER USE PRICELINE

I made a reservation for Ramada Encore Kiev based on the location shown on the website. It is the wrong location -- 15 km away from where the hotel actually is. When I discovered this and called 2 days before my trip, I was told they had to check with the hotel. I stayed somewhere else, needed to be in the center of town. After I got back, I tried to get reimbursement. They refuse and insist that their research team reviewed this issue and gave a final decision. Terrible customer treatment!

Never again
February 29, 2020

My wife and I booked a trip to San Diego last week. I needed a rental car so googled "car rental San Diego International Airport" and priceline had the lowest cost rental, by a long shot, through Hertz. We arrived at the airport, got our bags and went over to Hertz. Lo and behold they had no reservation for me. She looked up my name and said "oh, your car is at TJ" meaning Tijuana. It was at a site just over the bordekr from Mexico. I asked for a rental from them and the cost was insane. Long story short, we got to the Hertz location where the car was and all their cars had Mexican plates. So back to the airport and we ended up renting from Alamo. Round trip cost to and from airport was over $100. When I called Priceline naturally i was told there was nothing they could do since the Hertz agency was technically in San Diego. Never, never, never again will I use these frauds.

Unauthorized charges
February 29, 2020

I tried to book a five star hotel with Priceline, but I thought it would be fun to russian-roulette it and get one of 3 five-star hotels in Vegas. They gave me three choices, The Palazzo, The Aria and the Venetian. After trying to get one of these I ended up with a three star hotel 20 minutes from the Strip. I called them and tried to tell them it was a mistake on their end, but they told me that it was non refundable and that they "understand where I was coming from". Seeing as I am going out of town and would only be there for one night, I though it would be okay, but then my card was charged yet again! I looked and now I have two reservations for the same night in a two star and a three star hotel respectively. I guess when you combine them you get 5 stars! I called again and they told me there was nothing they can do and that they confirmed there are two contracts from me and I would not be able to do anything about either.

UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES
February 27, 2020

This company will charge you extra without providing proof of toll charges. I rented a car in July at Orlando FL and started receiving charges supposedly for toll charges in October and November. I know that I paid cash at each toll booth; however, they are charging for unpaid tolls without providing proof of the violation. After leaving about 10 voicemails with no response, I finally spoke with an agent that couldn't provide supporting evidence over the phone but promised to send by email proof of the violation. After over a month, I'm still waiting for the photo of the toll violation. I have to wonder... are all their employees so inefficient, or is there anything else going on? Be careful! Not worth saving a couple of bucks.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have used Priceline many times and always same day. I had a horrible experience today. Even though I had confirmation number the hotel did not have me in the system. I booked 2 hours in advance. When I called Priceline it was in can take up to 24 hours for reservations to get to where it is suppose to go. My? Then why offer this service was meet with silence. I was offered a 5% coupon code only good for Express deals and had to be used in 2 weeks. I laughed and said I get 10% codes all the time sent to me. Very poor customer service and now they have lost a customer.

Dissappinted
February 25, 2020

Priceline will show you supposedly great fares that when you complete your purchase it will give you all the info, well not always the case. You go through the entire process of putting in all of your info and then it tells you either the prize changed or they cant book your request.

I tried to book a king size room. On their site it said the room was 54. When I clicked on the room. It took me to their page. Showed the hotel, address and reviews. I clicked THE ONLY button they had to book the room. Than I got a confirmation email for ANOTHER hotel! W-T-F? When I called and explained the glitch they said that is why I agreed too. But when there was only one button to press when it shows you the hotel. And you clicked on the room you wanted with reviews of that hotel. It SHOULD be THAT hotel! The customer service was horrible. They wouldnt even let me show them the screen shots on my end. Or even think their system messed up! Very disappointed and tooken ADVANTAGED of! DO NOT USE THEM BY ANY MEANS! THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS!

Went through Priceline to rent a car for an upcoming wedding this July in CA. Saw their 4+ star rating for Mex Rent a Car and the price was good so confirmed. Then got the email confirmation with a Mexican phone number to call and thought WTH? Started researching and found the 1 star ratings full of customer complaints of fraud, misinformation and lies. Called Priceline 15 minutes after making my rental reservation to cancel and they send out the token "wait 10 days" email. 10 days later they tell me they haven't heard back from car rental company and to wait until they do. I then ask for a supervisor who tells me the reservation can't be cancelled. Sorry, CA has a law giving consumers 3 days to cancel. Priceline disputes that. I will never use or recommend going through Price for anything... EVER.

No Common Sense
February 23, 2020

I have used Priceline several times prior without incident. However this time was different and has ended with no further consideration of using them in the future. In today's world there does seem to be a lack of common sense and I quickly learned that is more prevelent with this company than most. Even when escalated to a supervisor they held to the first position -- no refund.

The story: I booked a rental car for my trip to Orlando, FL on or around February 9 for a trip in late February 2020. When I arrived at the airport to pick up my car at National, I was informed they could not find my reservation. I was told by National this was between me and Priceline. So I did not have to stand in line again, I simply went back onto Priceline's site and booked another rental car assuming this could be resolved after I finished up at the National rental counter.

After further review, with Priceline representatives discovered there were two reservations, one booked within the hour and the other as I had mentioned. In fairness the original reservation was booked in error for the day prior and the National Car person doing the search apparently does not search for reservations in prior days.

I suggested to Priceline's representative that I pay for the longer reservation that started yesterday and that they refund the reservation made less than an hour ago. After hearing the tickets were prepaid, non-refundable and in complete disbelief the matter was escalated to a supervisor. The supervisor said the same thing and only offered to research the matter further. With no other options I agreed and they created a ticket for the refund.

About two hours later I received an email, again declining the refund with the explanation that the reservation had been used. I gave up since it seems to me it is obvious that one reservation was used and other other was not. Left unchecked Priceline is happy to provide NO CUSTOMER SERVICE and charge you double for the one rental car you need.

I rarely write reviews, but this unethical behavior can not go unchecked, hence the review and the protest with my Credit Card company as the final and only resolution to what should have been common sense and good customer service. In the end I will receive a refund from my credit card company and I have ended my relationship and any future business with Priceline.

Very misleading being charged in usd funds especially since I had my settings on TripAdvisor in cad funds. I'd give Priceline no stars but that's not an option. Contact customer service and they just sent me their policy

Horrible
February 21, 2020

Never go threw Priceline. My dad's card was charged twice. A total of 349.88. After the money was taken off the girl was unable to provide a room. We called them and they told us it was out of there hands and to get ahold of the bank to have the money refunded. At first we were told it would take 24_48 hours to be put back on the card. Now up to a month and are unsure when it will be exactly be put back on. Never got a room. Refund or anything

We contacted Priceline for a rental car in Honolulu on our vacation. They sent us to this rental place called economy and when we got there their information was different than my receipt that I had, and showed some discrepancies as far as return time. I set it for 9 pm as our flight left at 10 pm. I would drop it off by 8 pm was my intent.

They said my drop off had to be at noon, which would have left us at the airport for 10 yours. My receipt clearly says I get the car till 9 pm. I told them to cancel the transaction because priceline says "zero charge before pickup." They said so what, we will charge you anyway regardless of what priceline said. So they charged us 40 dollars more for the extra 9 hours. The original price for 6 days was 181.00. That is 20% more for only 5% of the time.

Then I called priceline, and they said they couldn't do nothing. We're old, with heart condition, and they guys at the rental were very rude and intimidating. Never again.

I went on priceline to purchase a ticket for my daughter to come home this morning. After I filled in all the billing and submitted, it gave me a window with a spinner that said I had just booked my flight. Then a message that I had to correct my paasenger info. I couldn't find any itinerary info and then I looked in my account and they had charged me for a ticket but not booked me one. When I called in they said there was no longer that ticket available and they would return my money in 24-48 hours. They refused to transfer me to billing to fix this today. Told me to call my bank. I've never had anything like this happen. They got the money I need to book my daughter's ticket. RIDICULOUS!

Very disappointed in priceline. I booked my hotel and when I received my confirmation and states paid in full taxes and fees. Once I checked in they are telling me its $25 a night to park. No where on the listing on pricelines site does it state a parking fee. I contacted Priceline and they said it is up to the hotel and they have no control over it. I told them they should have the parking fees in there listing.

I booked a trip using priceline, but somehow after a few weeks, when i logged into my account, i could not find it any more. And all of a sudden I got an email from priceline telling me the charge to the trip. I called in the priceline contact phone number, but a booking.com customer service answered and telling me my trip was booked in booking.com, but I did not use booking.com. Something is very fishy with priceline! I called into two different priceline customer server phone numbers but only ended up talking to a booking.com person. I am cancelling my account with priceline. Not trustworthy any more!
