The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.

Priceline is not for business trips where you dont have hours to change, cancel and\or getting a receipt. Car rental for example, you have to call Priceline to explain the problem. Then the Priceline agent has to call the rental car company and explain the problem. Both Priceline and the rental car companies use outsourced agents who speak marginal English. Rental car company and Priceline agent go back and forth asking you questions and you may or may not get the help you need. WATCH out for deals that may or may not be changeable or cancelable.
I have had very bad experiences with booking car rentals on Priceline.com. Do not use them for car rentals, especially York Car Rentals. Priceline shouldn't even be doing business with this shabby car rental company.
I rented three vans (all pre-paid reservations) in Denver airport. York Car Rental had no cars whatsoever available when we arrived and even refused to send the shuttle to pick us up at the Airport. (leaving us stranding with a baby and kids). And to top that, here it is day 15 and we still have not received our refunds. I have called Priceline 3 times only to be told that they didn't get a response from their email and they will have to send another email. Really - day 15? And this is the response.
DO NOT USE PRICELINE.COM. They have a bad business practice in handling refunds.
Priceline canceled my reservation without me knowing.
When i got to the hotel, i called priceline they told me, don't worry, book the room through the hotel at a higher rate and we will refund you the difference. They lied. I've called and called to GET MY REFUND TO no avail. On one occasion, the agent said, it's not their policy to refund the difference. Well sir, then why would they tell a customer that! DON'T USE THEM, THEY ARE TERRIBLE!
You don't track our flights if changes are made from the original flight plan. It cost extra to modify any changes to the plan made months in advance and is never the same as when booking it. The pickup time was schedule for 9:35am on my return to the airport flight and my flight was scheduled to board at 11:00am with doors shut at 11:45am. It is 45 minutes to the airport from Secrets Maroma Beach Resort and I didn't feel 30 minutes was long enough to get through customs' and get on my flight in time. I was having trouble with my phone getting messages and received your message on the 20th that was sent on the 19th. I tried to change the time but was not in the 24-48 hour window for my scheduled pick up on the 21st. It was said in the email that the airport was only 15 minutes away and that is a lie. I paid $66 for a taxi so I didn't miss my flight. I feel and demand a refund for that transfer. I will go to Priceline who sub out to Booking.com and complain about your scheduling and services.
On November 25th, 2024, I booked 3 roundtrip tickets NYC-Dallas-NYC for my relatives (Dep on Dec 5th, and Ret on Dec 9th). The total price included the baggage fee for both ways, for 2 of the travelers. On the return Dallas-NYC, they were charged the baggage fee again, even though I had paid when I made the booking. When I called the airline, I was told that Priceline didn't pay them for the baggage. I called Priceline and explained the situation and requested a refund. The rep apologized saying their payment to the airline didn't go through and said I will receive a refund. After few days, I called again. Same thing: Apology and promises. Nothing. The last time I called, I was asked to email proof of payment made at the Dallas airport. I did. A supervisor said to expect the refund on my credit card account within the next days. Today, after more than 1 month and not seeing any refund, I called to find out what's going on. I am told that the baggage fee I paid was for one way. I emailed the rep a screenshot showing the fee for both ways.
Still, the rep ignored it and told me flat I had been lied and that there will be no refund. DO NOT buy any baggage from Priceline. If you do, you will end up paying again when returning. You are warned!
We confirmed with Priceline in October 2023 we were charged for an item we should not of been. We provided all the information they requested. Now we are in February 2024 and after many, many calls and emails all they keep repeating is to call them. Very questionable business practice. I do not recommend them at all.
Warning: Please beware of pricelines low car rental prices. I needed a car rental and went to pricelines website found what I thought was a great rental, only to book it find out on the day of the rental that was only for out of state rentals. This was not stated in my contract and rental booking info but disclosed at the last minute when I went to pick up the car
Booked through price line both airflight and rental car. Airflight was good no issues. Car rental was a horrible experience. We had a reservation for a vehicle through Dollar Car rental. The name on the reservation was off by 2 letters from the driver's license, Both Dollar rental and Priceline refused to rent us the vehicle. We called price line and explained that Dollar rental said the name had to be changed on their end and Priceline said it had to be changed on Dollar rental on their end. So both we blaming each other and no one helped. In order not to be stranded had to go through Hertz to rent a car. Horrible experience. DO NOT GO THROUGH PRICELINE!
This was my first and last trip to Mexico. We had a very bad experience with this company. The agent who organized this trip deceived us. When we arrived at the hotel, the employee at the front desk said that we had a simple room that did not include anything except the pool. We called our agent and he answered on speakerphone that we had access to everything including food and other benefits. The worker at the front desk could not receive us for almost 2 hours, saying that we do not have access, we can only sleep in our room. Then we called the agent again, he began to speak Spanish with the employee so that we could not understand, then he spoke on the phone for a long time with the owner of the hotel and after everything, this agent began to tell us a completely opposite story, that we were not entitled to anything, we could not come to an agreement with him, he was deceiving us, we didn't know where to go and what to do?
In the end we were forced to stay in this room and pay for everything, although in the very beginning everything was paid for. It was a terrible room, everything was old, there weren't even face towels, we bought paper to use. In the room, instead of 1 large bed, there were 2 small ones, we even paid for drinking water. I have never had a trip like this, I will not use this company again and will not recommend it to anyone. I will not forget the stress that we experienced on the first day and will tell my friends. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but were very disappointed because all the hotel workers knew this story
Here is the number of this agent *******810
Let him be ashamed of his deception...
The Customer Service Rep booked me for the wrong hotel and now Priceline is saying I have to pay for the room even though I didn't make the mistake. They are saying I can't receive a refund. Even though I gave the Rep the correct information. They are saying it's my responsibility. Doesn't make any sense to me. I refuse to accept this.
I had reservations for two rooms, and the rooms were supposed to be of different types, and so charged with different prices, but got two rooms of same type, and tried to rectify the situation, but both person and chat priceline agents were useless, only suggesting me to check with the hotel, but hotel says they only see the numbers priceline shows. What a scam at priceline's end... and i am supposed to be VIP member, VIP to get treated this way...
I went on price line renovated nest western in tulsa went to hotel within that half hour went to pat for reservation and manager said they don't accept that type credit card but took my payment of 63 told me call price line so did soon as walked out no answer so today called nothing they can do slept in car in parking lot now deathly sick and payment gone guess I paid 63 for reservation of parking lot cause I'm without a home
Priceline is a piece of $#*!. Their shady business practices border on criminal. At least from a moral standpoint. Do everything you can to NOT use these $#*!s for your travel. You aren't really saving anything anyway. I got booked through them by accident through an agency my company uses. It will never happen again. $#*! Priceline. Zero stars
I bought travel insurance it shows on my receipt. I have called customer service several times for Priceline and the insurance. They still tell me they have no records of my purchase what a scam! Each one refers you back to the other it's terrible business practices.
Priceline doesn't even supply the bookings they take credit for. I booked part of my Philippine vacation through them and when a problem arose, instead of helping me, they referred me to the actual company handling the booking. They don't do anything at all except step in between the customer and REAL travel companies, skim money off the top, then claim credit for a booking they had nothing to do with. Then have the nerve to send me emails to review services that they refused to help with.
My flight I purchased through Priceline was canceled one day prior to takeoff. The airline, Hawaiian Airlines, stated that the change had to be made through Priceline. The Priceline agent said they couldn't do it and even if I talked to a Supervisor they would say the same thing. They claimed they were unable to authorize a change. SERIOUSLY? BEWARE PRICELINE!
I rented a car for three weeks. I was helped and received my rental car right away. The person that took care of was very courteous and knowledgeable. I am very satisfied and I will definitely recommend Priceline…….

I booked a room & immediately canceled after having problems starting my car. The hotel canceled no problem, but said I'd have to call Priceline to get my money back. They said they couldn't refund my money unless the hotel approved (which they had). They gave me the run around for 3 days & refused to refund my $66. I am extremely poor at the moment & I really need that money to fix my car. But they won't help at all.
I went on Priceline's website and selected a hotel and when the confirmation came Priceline had selected another hotel for me (non-refundable) which was 20 miles from where we wanted to visit. I contacted them immediately to correct but I received an e-mail denying my request since it was non-refundable even though it wasn't my fault. I am keeping this reservation in order to not lose my money but I will NEVER use Priceline again! Poor customer service and poor website! In addition, the hotel I chose was a 4 star and the hotel they selected for me was a 2 star!
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
