This isn't a real company, it's a referral scam by Renewal by Anderson. Really sleazy, their astronomical pricing and exploding offer playbook is bad enough.

Googled window replacement in my area and Powell and Sons popped up. Requested a free estimate and it said "we can't do your project but we sent your info to other businesses!" HUH? Y'all literally were advertising window replacements? And I didn't agree to that? I instantly got 2-3 calls within a minute of submitting my "free estimate" and now, 2 weeks later, I'm still getting calls, emails and texts from companies. What a scam!

Powell and Sons is a complete scam. I searched for gutter repair in my town in Utah and they came up parading as a local business. They even have a map showing my town in Utah in their "service area". They don't even exist in Utah - it's a Texas company. I fell for it and filled out their form, but never heard from Powell and Sons. Instead they sold my information to multiple companies, like Leafguard and Leaf Filter, and I've been harassed ever since by reps who think they're going to sell me gutter covers. The worst of it is that these gutter cover companies persist after I repeatedly tell them I'm not in the market for their product. Just don't give Powell and Sons your information.

Used search to get estimate for install of house gutters. Powell and Sons came up and they have a contact us to get a free estimate. Put in name, address and phone. Leaf Filter called me. Angie's List somehow has Powel nd Sons linked to its website for referrals and Leaf Filter is who calls. No such work is done by Powell and sons. Leaf Filter knew this as well. Guess they all just like to disregard people's privacy by using fake companies. Bogus. Misleading.

This fake company sells leads that we have to run and I feel so bad for the people that they've lied to! Typically it's jobs that no contractor wants either so they lie to the customer and then lie to the business that they sold the lead to!

Companies need to stop buying their leads!

8 Powell and sons leads this week. Only 1 was home. And it was for a service that we don't provide. Got rear ended on way to one of them. Thanks Powell!

They just want to gather your contact information and will share it with multiple companies who will immediately begin to call you. I live in Austin and was getting phone calls from California, Boston, and from south Texas. These companies they share your information with may be legit but I sure as hell don't want to test them to find out.

Fake website. Did license search, DBA, etc. No such Company. Webite uses information for spam and cold calling. Do not be fooled by fake reviews and ratings. They are AI generated and are not verified or real customers.

There is no such company called "Powell and Sons" in or near Richmond Virginia. The website powellandsons.com was created by an advertising company in order to extract your personal contact information and broadcast it to every sleazy gypsy contractor and half witted search company willing to pay a few cents per contact.

This company is a scam business. I thought I was contacting a local company, and immediately after filling out form for an estimate I got inundated with calls, texts, and emails by contractors all over the country. Apparently Powellandsons sells your information to Angi/ Home Advisor. I contacted Angi and had my personal information removed from their system. Do not do business with this shady company.

I can't believe that I fell for this scam again. I filled out an online form last year for this company - they are not local at all, even though Google says they were "voted best in" my city for the services I needed. Last year, I got constant phone calls from Maryland (I live in NC), with someone reading a script wanting to know "a little more about my project". The phone calls went on for MONTHS before they stopped. And yes there were a lot of spam emails, too. Then this morning, this company came up again when I was looking for local deck restoration and BAM! Right after I hit send and got the message that they don't have "anyone in your area" - I remembered that I am going to be harassed for months again with phone calls from another state. PLEASE, people, save yourself a headache and never EVER fill out a form for Powell & Sons! It should be illegal how they scam people into getting their personal information so that telemarketers can harass you endlessly!

It's a, fake website, they use same pictures not local and steal local businesses leads. Don't click they will spam you. No phone number, no address, no email. It's angi leads steal local companies leads and trying to sell them.

This is not a real contractor. They take your information and then send someone out that is not from Powell and Sons. In fact they sent out a representative from Dreamstyle Remodeling. When I questioned Dreamstyle Remodeling, they said they have never even heard of Powell & Sons. BEWARE!

What a scam! Requested quote...instantly received "unable to help" and all my information was sent out to multiple places. Still getting calls 6 months later for unrelated jobs. Their site states they can do what you're requesting...but they can't and they lie about it. Don't waste your time with this "legit sounding" company...they are not!

Powell and Sons is a website that pass your info on to other spam sites like Angie's List, Porch.com, etc. I requested a quote on a simple floor repair from what I thought was a local trusted contractor. Instead, with in minutes my phone was bombarded by sales calls to install new flooring. Two days now my phone is still ringing at all hours! Avoid this site!

Don't bother. I did a Google search for a dryer vent cleaner in my area. Powell and Sons came up first with my town listed right next to their name and even a map that included my location. After they had me request an estimate which included my phone number and email address, they replied the service is not available in my area. It's a scam to get your contact info so they can sell it to other companies. Now I have to worry about getting bombarded with unwanted solicitations.

Filled out their contact info and quickly got a call from Leaf Filter company. They asked if the 2nd home owner would be there which is a big sign that they are going to try a hard sell. Told them that I wasn't interested, especially since I hadn't given Leaf Filter my info - I filled out Powell & Sons. The woman wouldn't tell me how they'd actually gotten my info and just kept reading from a script. I then hung up on her. Since then, I've gotten a ton of calls/voicemails from them.

I feel so stupid for falling for this website's (https://powellandsons.com) scam.
Thought I was contacting Powell and Sons, an Irving, TX sprinkler system installer for a quote, so I filled out the online form with my contact information. Within the next hour, I'd received calls, texts, and emails from 20-30 companies all over the United States. After two days, the emails, texts and phone calls have mostly stopped, but now all these places have my cellphone and email and address information. For someone who values privacy, I feel so misled (and foolish for falling for this).

This is a marketing site that sends your email, phone number and home address to local companies as well as sales people out of California for gutter guards. I have heard from 32 companies in 3 days, via texts, calls, and an inbox full of spam. Not one of them is Powell and Sons either. I don't believe that this is even an actual company. Do not give them your information.

Requested free quote for gutters and downspouts for needed repairs on newly purchased home. Online submission resulted in auto-reply like: "sorry we can't help you but have referred your request to another trusted contractor". 30 seconds later received a call from a sales representative from LEAF FILTER! Don't waste your time with this company as is more of a front-end referral service.

Powell and Sons can up as a plumber in my area. There was not a phone number so I have to "request a quote". I stated that my well had stopped working. I immediately received a message stating that they were unable to help, but that my request had been sent to other professionals. I received 2 calls within two minutes asking about helping me with my bathroom remodeling needs!
