Made an on-line purchase of two sand filters. Received a package that included a completely different order number and a wrong part. Contacted company by phone (1-hr., 10-min wait!). Spoke to 'Douglas,' explained the issue and sent him an email with copies of the order and a scan of the incorrect part. He said he would send me an email with return instructions and said they could not issue another order until the incorrect part was received by them. Three days later no email, so I emailed them again. Two days later and no response. Went to their on-line chat line... message says 50-minute wait! Also called on the phone... message says more than one hour wait! I'm sure my money is lost, but hopefully this review will steer others away!~
It started fantastic. We received almost everything but the most expensive item. Our pool heater. We got the promo gift after 2 days, then the rest by day 3. Going on 15 days, no heater. And nothing but run around. We can only get a hold of someone through the new order line due to Covid but their is no information on our heater. We are extremely frustrated and no one will communicate with us.
Ordered an in ground pool filter pump over the weekend and I was able to correct the problem and cancelled the order later that day. Order shipped Monday and received the pump on Wednesday. Notified customer service regarding the error and they sent me a return shipping label for the product. No charges. Recommend this company and will use them in the future. My experience with them has been positive.
It's been nearly a month, and my order status is still showing "NEW". I called customer service and was on hold for over half an hour. When I finally got a hold of one of their reps, she said she would need to reach out to her warehouse for a status of my order. She copied me on her email to their warehouse and told me to give them 3-5 business days to respond. It's been 2 weeks now and I still haven't heard back. I've reached out twice since the 5th business day, and nothing. They're ignoring my emails now. It's great. Do yourself a favor and buy from another company, cause this one SUCKS.
They claimed to have the best prices and on the website they do, but what's the point of having the best prices, if you can never deliver the product, I should have read the reviews before I purchase from this company, there's so many reviews that said the product never showed up, or it took forever for the product to be delivered, and I'm having the same problem, even though I've called twice and email once. It's been 2 weeks, and the order status says it's still processing. I wish my payment was still processing, but no that was taken within a minute after I ordered. Very disappointed i will not order or recommend this company again.
Tried to call and cancel my order, too late already shipped it out. Spoke with Amanda and she assured me they would email me a return label to ship it back. Asked for an extension from Amanda and she gave me one, but their system said it was invalid when I called back. Back to square on!. Never heard from them... called again and had to wait for ever for someone to answer the call. Expect a 30 to 45 minute wait. Waiting on hold right now - even if I do get my refund, I will never use this company again.
We bought a pool heater last spring right as covid was spiking. When we recieved the pool heater it was a smaller version and cheaper than what we ordered. I tried over and over to contact some one with no luck. We also received a vacuum. This spring we went to use the vac it didnt work. I contact some one via email. They were going to check into the heater and the vacuum that was 2 months ago still nothing. They did give us a case number. Dont know why they dont follow up on anything! SCAMMERS RIP OFF DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR $$$$
I need to start by saying I have ordered from Pool Supply World previously and have been satisfied. However, today I wasted a half an hour trying to order a booster pump. I ordered online and paid through Paypal. When I got to the 'place order' screen, I noticed it had an incomplete shipping address. The "customer service" rep that finally answered my call said I should go back and correct the address with Paypal. But Paypal had the correct address. When Paypal website communicated my address to Pool Supply World website, their web site was not able to take the complete address with suite number. The "customer service" rep finally said I should then just place the order anyway and then call back after to correct the address before it ships. As a business owner, I guess I just cannot understand this kind of weak response from a customer service rep. I will go elsewhere, its easier.
I order a pool pump 12 days ago with no response as to when I would get it. I emailed twice... no response. I called and stayed on hold for 30 minutes and they told me it was back ordered for 5 weeks... NO CALL, NO EMAIL, NO CONTACT! Horrible way to do business and expect to keep customers. STAY AWAY! By the way... no physical address should have warned me... no local phone number... no google business account... no yelp account. Are they trying to stay stealth or hide?
PoolSupplyWorld.com was great. We ordered our Polaris 280 Pool Cleaner from them last week. We got it in 3 days. 3 Days! We were so happy. They charged us $404.99 and shipped it for free. InTheSwim wanted over $500 for it and Amazon wanted a little over $440 for it. We took a chance on PoolSupplyWorld and bought our Polaris 280 from them. Its the best price would could find from a Reputable company. We thought we would share our experience. We have told 2 friends now and I am going to order a robotic pool cleaner for my mom next week for Mothers Day
We ordered a ladder that said it could be mounted to the deck of our above ground pool and was adjustable. It was neither but since we had to take it out of the box and assemble it to discover it was unusable, they are refusing to take it back and refund our money! I will never use this company again and will warn anyone I know to stay away! If they can't back their products, what good is a cheap price?
I ordered a part for my pool skimmer, I typed in my model number and it provided a "replacement item" so I ordered that. When I received it, it did not fit. I tried chatting and speaking to customer service representatives who advised they don't allow returned nor refunds, even though their site brought up the wrong part.
Purchased a $280 motor block for my Polaris 9300 robotic cleaner from Pool Supply World. One of the wheel motors stopped working 3 1/2 months after the one year warranty expired. Pool Supply World's best offering of help was a $10 discount if I purchased another motor block from them. I think I'll pass on their generous offer.
The item I needed was in stock at a good price. Shipped out fast and arrived quickly. Exactly what I needed to get started for the pool season. I'm very pleased with the purchase, and will shop here again.
As a first time buyer to this company i was impressed at the prices and availability of products for pools, but was most impressed at the hands on and very attentive customer service, I would absolutely recommend pool supply world for any and all pool needs. Will be ordering from them again.
These guys are borderline thieves. Do NOT do business with them! I ordered a part online and 10 days later, I still had no part and no confirmation that they were shipping it. After hours of waiting on hold, I finally got someone on day 6 to answer the phone in "Customer NO Service". All she could do was send an email to someone and I was supposed to hear back in 48-72 hours. On day 10, I finally got hold of another person, after 2.5 hrs of hold time, who again was unable to find any answers. He did offer to cancel the order, which I did. 10 days later, I have still not received confirmation that the order was cancelled and the funds were never returned to my credit card. I have held on the phone for over 3 hours today. At one point, I chose the "place a new order" option on the phone and a person answered within seconds - saying she was unable to help. Amazing.
I finally called my CC company and disputed the charges. What a racket! DO NOT TRUST THEM!
I do NOT recommend buying from pool world supply... I ordered a pool filter cartridge from them over a month ago and when I received it I realized they sent me wrong one. After being on hold for hours I finally got someone and they said they would send a return slip. I still have not received anything from them. I have called and emailed them. They do not respond. So if you decide to order from them and you get wrong product or it's damaged then your pretty much out of all that money
Concerned about tracking my item, so I called. I waited for 1 hour and 16 min on the phone before it was answered. The woman on the call was professional and courteous, but amazingly, could not provide a tracking # for my cartridge. She did copy me an a tracking request email to the warehouse - waiting to see if that is answered. Honestly - you need to provide tracking info - its the least you can do.
I ordered a part and minutes later realized I'd ordered the wrong part number. Tried to use the online chat but it was off line, however it accepted an email. I explained I needed to cancel. Next day, called and explained. Customer service rep told me they'd put in a stop order. Two hours later, I got a notification part had shipped. I called back was told to send it back when it arrived and then order correct part. They would refund. Sent it back, ordered new part and they too 15% off the original order price as re-stocking fee. REALLY? That's just poor customer service in my book! Guess any future purchase better be 15% better than any competitors price or I'm not ordering from them again!
We bought a house with a pool 2 months ago this is our first year of opening it and getting it started. What a pain. We have been reading pool supply world blog and learning new things. We have had to order a couple small parts from this store. I am sure we will need more but they have been so helpful to these pool amateurs.

Answer: Pricing was slightly better -- In the end, totally NOT worth it. I imagine if everything would have gone well it could have been a positive experience? However, if you have any issues, this may be the worst company on the planet to do business with. Horrible customer service!
