It is a very bad site. First, they will put you on automatic payment, and there are no way to turn it off. Trust me I tried, or they purposefully made it impossible to be found, so they can ripoff more money from you. I called them, and they told me the money they took is not refundable? Where is the law in this country? Where are the FBI and the consumer protectors? If any lawyer would take this case I am all in and there are millions others.
Automatic payments with one option should be illegal because it is super easy to sign in if anyone wants to renew, and it should not be hard for users to sign out from.
Second, I would say from my experience with that site, at least 80% of profiles are fake. Maybe fake profiles get created by pof to gain members, and there are many Nigerian and all other spams and scammers crooks trying to take your money and waste your time.
My advice, almost all sites do this trick because it is a loop hole in the American legal system. I hope you all who get my money to spent it on your kids health.

I'm tired of the scammers preying on women. Men too I hear. Stinks. I can almost tell you by the first message if they are and most definitely the second. Those that make it to three are damn good but I catch them. Such liars, the reasons they need money from you and such.

I swear I should write a book on the ones I've come across. Good laughs. They usually disappear fast when I tell them my son is a deputy sheriff and I have their IP addy. One guy wanted money and after refusing, blocking and such he finally admitted he was in Africa and how else could he get money. One wanted $10,000 not to kill my family and such. He was begging for $50 by the time he quit. One pretended he was his son and needed money to find his dad. Gotta love the I'm working out of country and need to buy a BD gift for son so buy a new iPhone on your account and after I get it I'll attach my CC to your account to pay it off. Hey if you can pay my bill with your CC buy the phone with it also.

The stories are getting bigger andore demanding so ladies keep your backbone. You don't need a man to abuse you that way.

To the men on here who crab about women. What about the men with tats, no clothes, overweight, sagging everywhere, triple necks, etc. You're not perfect either. Men are just as bad when they state how they want a woman to look. I'm doing pretty good and I've had three kids, what's your excuse?

I saw a profile from a female 28 nothing special
She seemed pleasant enough but she said she was getting tired of men telling her she was stunning
She wasn't. At Best she was average
That made me think if desperate men are messaging ordinary women saying they are stunning then how many messages will the actual good looking women get?
This is most definitely a site for women. The numbers not in your favor if you're a man especially not if men are mailing everything on there saying they are stunning

Before POF I didnt know there was so many single moms about. I've never seen so many woman on there who have had children out of wedlock and now are looking for someone to bring the children up as their own. They cant all have been divorced so they just seen to have churn children out with no regard
I have no intention of being 2nd in a relationship as they tell you the children will always come 1st. I did laugh how they still think they are a catch when they have this baggage.
I also laugh when they put profession down as mum or yummy mummy. That's not a job its a lifestyle choice.

The rest are either fraudulent profiles wanting you to click for webcam stuff or blatant prostitutes or just really unattractive MUTANTS that other men in the outside world have rejected so they have gone online and set up a profile looking for a dream man who must be tall dark and handsome
The mutant women also seem really obsessed with putting up tattoo photos of the legs arms and rest of the body
They say you must love dogs and if not don't contact them

They come across as picky demanding rude and you see why alot of profiles proudly proclaim they are back again! As if its something to brag about

The fraudulent scammers now message you saying they need your help or they message you saying can I say something?

I dont know if the people running the site cant deal the sheer demand of scammers or whether they dont care but cant be that hard to ban IP addresses

Plenty of Fish or POF is not that bad, yes the layout and the script is not as fancy as other websites but still works. I've managed to meet a few ladies from there, just regular ladies, not Miss Universes or something like that. Real people for real times. Yes, there are the picky ones and also the mean ones, like any other website but its free and you can get almost all the benefits without paying (there are a couple of profiles when you are told you have to upgrade to chat with these which I consider somewhat of a scam but these are only a few) therefore you can get something done for you.
POF has potential if you give it a try.

OKC is so much better. There are so many off characters on POF that I've wasted time on. One of them was already in a long term relationship and they were looking to cheat. Another lives with his parents, unemployed and kept making excuses as to why he wasn't going to look for one. After our first and last date he said he only wanted to be friends but not before negging me over how I supposedly look different than I did in my photos (No one has ever told me this before until then) then had the nerve to say that my outfit wasn't flattering for my body type. I'm sorry but what heterosexual man cares about what a woman wears? Anyway, I ended up closing my account and found someone better on OKC :)

From looking there are about 3% of females that are worth responding to. The rest are dogs. The problem is the other guys will see the same so you've got 1000s of guys all messaging the same 3% of women.

I thought I'd see how deluded and out of touch some of the other less attractive women on here are so send 30 copy and paste to women I didn't find attractive just to see. Now bare in mind I'm not a bad looking fella and these women should have been grateful that someone like me would message them. Result they all looked at my profile and NONE of them replied HAHAHA. I found it funny. Even the ugly ones & farties don't reply and want a male model

So the fat uglies that nobody would want in the real world think they are divas & princesses on the computer. Let me repeat that a whole website of demanding unattractive women thinking they are better looking than they are! Oh and 95% of them don't drive so they'll want you be their taxi

You would have more chance going into town & handing out your number to random strangers than hoping to get a reply from anyone on this site.

I signed up and got 10 messages within 30 minutes sadly all fake. The site seems overrun with them

The women who are real think they're gods gift to men but they're either overweight, very very ordinary looking, using photos from 5 years ago or waffling on about how they are independent, there seems to be a lot of them with degrees too (lies)
I messaged one and she replied you live TWO far away, she had a degree but can't spell correctly
Plenty of profiles in which they are typing in capitals saying if you don't have a photo you won't get a reply or if you are not over 6ft tall you will be ignored etc etc. It's almost as if they are trying their hardest to put you off sending them a message
I messaged them mocking them saying "great profile, lovely attitude" and they didn't realise I was doing it. Let's just say intelligence isn't very high on pof,

I messaged one person who seemed okay but she replied "where are you from" - too lazy or thick to read my profile location

In a perverse way it seems the more unattractive they are on pof the nastier the profile is yet they still want Mr Right to message them.

The women are great, superb and gorgeous in their own minds. In reality they are just deluded picky hasbeens who will end up lonely with their 8 cats

The sad thing after all the above I think men are that desperate for a woman they are messaging these horrible females no matter how rude and fat they are. It wouldn't surprise me if the nasty unattractive women get that much mail they can't reply to all. Get some dignity guys -I would sooner be single forever than date anyone off pof

Fake, the other half are low class munters obsessed with dogs and tattoos. Photos of the they own are on most pics and they love to show the tattoos they have. I got bored of reading if you don't love dogs don't message and I have 8 tattoos and plan to have more. You can't buy class

Not sure why people are complaining about getting scammed after paying money. You seriously think you'd have more chance if you upgraded? It's full of the most undateable women I have ever come across in my entire life

The women on pof must think it's Christmas come early because if not for this site they wouldn't get any male attention judging by the looks and attitude of them.

All I found were drama queens who seem to have issues not right in the head of unbalanced.

If you find someone who appears normal you can virtually guarantee they'll have a 10 point checklist of what you must possess before you can even message them and get a reply
Desperate men must message them I think otherwise how can they get away with the rude behaviour

It reminds me of when you used to be in a bar at 3am before closing and all the best women had long gone and all that was left were the leftovers nobody wanted. Pof is full of those kind. If they were attractive and a good person they wouldn't be on there

But in a funny way they don't see themselves that way. A few messages and they think they are Angelina Jolie

*women thinking they are stunning and wanting someone tall dark handsome when they are short and fat

*the likes/dislikes section just generic rubbish. Such as I dislike ignorant rude people and bad drivers

*Pig ignorant weird types who seem to lack any social skills even behind a computer

*women that been single too long and are way too picky but don't get it. They usually are teachers and they say they are very very independent on the profile

*women getting on in years but longest relationship is under a year. Danger danger alert

*women you wouldn't take home to meet your mum. Tattoos everywhere + happy to put up scantily clad wearing virtually nothing in their photos at the same time in capital letters telling men they don't want fun

I am hoping to help others avoid what Plenty of Fish did to me. I subscribed for two months.

They put me on auto renew so my subscription renewed against my wishes.

So even though I agreed to only subscribe for two months they billed me again for two more months i. E. 4 months which is not what I agreed to.

When I requested a refund they said they will not refund me.

Please reconsider doing business with Plenty of Fish.

They are willing to deceive people over such a small amount of money. Can you trust them with your private information and dating life?

DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR ACCOUNT WITH POF! They will charge you for the period of time that you chose to update your account and they will automatically charge you again after that, and if you refuse they will delete your account. I paid for three months to see if I was going to have a better chance to find someone. Terrible error! Upgrading my account just allowed me to see who read my messages and when. It is not worth the money! Once the three months period was over, they automatically charged my credit card. I called my bank and asked for a refund because I never authorized the transaction, then next thing I knew I could not access my account on POF anymore. I called POF customer service to hear them to tell me that they deleted my account because I asked for a refund. I told them that if was wrong to do that because I did not have any contract with them to keep upgrading my account. They did not care! They told me to create a new account. POF is after your money! If you do not pay, they will delete your account to punish you. Horrible experience!

The women on here have huge stomachs or huge egos. Either way both are a turn off
Of course they don't say they're fat they say prefer not to say or curvy they only show their faces not body shots

There is very little kindness humility and happiness radiating from them but tons of attitude anger and demands

I looked and saw extremely unremarkable women thinking they were extremely remarkable. Most of them looked like they had been round the block a good few times as well. From the profiles they believe they're a much better catch than they really are
