I have been waiting for 6 months for our last box. Then our neighbor comes by out of nowhere and mentions that he received the last box instead of me. Better late than never eh? Was a great subscription most of the time. I will say the delays in shipping was hard to bare sometimes
It was good while it lasted, but my kids grew out of this subscription. Too bad there wasn't more selection.
Customer service was always prompt and ready to make it right whenever I had questions.
My girls looked forward to their princess boxes all month, and I could get a few things done while they played.
So I had issues with them when they first started. I accidentally ordered a 6 box subscription and meant to order 1. "Patty" told me I was "SOL" basically and the money could not be returned. I WANTED TO CANCEL 5 MINUTES AFTER ORDERING WHEN I REALIZED. My cousin joined them about a year and a half later and had no issues so I guess I had bad timing. The only issue she had was that they shut down suddenly?
My daughter enjoyed receiving her boxes. Then one day suddenly they stopped. I contacted them and was told they were closing. I received a duplicate box and wondered why? Anyways it was good while it lasted but ended poorly
It was nearly impossible to get things straight with them. There was always a hassle getting what we ordered. Now they are out of business (from what all reviews say) and my credit card is still be charged by a company called Toy Library. I have no way to contact them. I will dispute it with the bank and hopefully they can straighten it out. Too bad because my grandson loved the concept.
I ordered a box in July, it is now December and I still haven't received the box I ordered. I've been emailing them for months and they keep telling me that my box will arrive shortly. The last email they sent they said that my box should arrive by December 15th, it is now the 22nd. So glad they closed down so they stop ripping people off
Pley Box ripped us off. We bought a 6 box subscription for my 5 year old as a Christmas gift this year. I ordered them in early November. By late November, they closed and said they would send all the boxes we ordered. We got 4 out of the 6. I emailed right away and was told to wait until December 15th to email for missing boxes. I emailed December 15th and after not receiving a response, I sent a message on Facebook and over email saying I was filing a fraud charge. I received a bot response saying their customer service closed in November. They had no intention on fulfilling the orders and told people to wait to file a complaint until after they were closed. They basically ripped us off and stole our moneyand my five year old's Christmas gift.
Got two $120 gift cards from my sister for my kids and now that they are closing up shop, they wont' even reply from Support except for a question:

When I answered that they were eGiftcards not necessarily designated to any product, no response. We didn't buy them. My sister doesn't have that credit card anymore.
They know they were closing in a few days, so they'll just keep the money!

The pley toys were fine. But they automatically renew your membership and when confronted they say that "you clicked on automatic renewal" and that it is " non-refundable".
What a rip off! Don't get started, you will regret it. Very frustrating that no one will listen that I did not want to renew membership. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I ordered an annual sub in July - first box wasn't shipped until late Sept after I emailed them about 10 times! Then she got another box in Nov and then cancelled and now tells me they won't refund my money but she will get ALL the boxes - yea, well, they shipped one last week but it was the same box as the previous one! I've been emailing them and they keep saying the same thing - that by the "terms of agreement' they can't refund me. However, when I signed up, there were NO terms of agreement so when I asked for it, they put something together... Anyway, just dispute your credit card and do it soon!
Set to get one every other month only received 3 in a year. Last month got a hot wheels box instead of a Disney princess box and when I asked them to fix it they cancelled my service and told me the reason was my daughter had graduated to an older kids box... wtf! How is a hot wheels box more grown up than a princess box... she's 6! It was so disrespect no attempt to correct the mistake or apologize... what a joke.
I prepaid for 6 Princess boxes which supposed to be delivered every two months. I only got one box. When I am trying to resolve it -I get generic response. There is no phone number to speak to someone. My next step will be dispute charges with my credit card
So I have been feeling kind of guilty after Pley announced they are shutting down. I know my review didnt single handedly play a part in their ending and lets be honest, the company had a lot of issues it needed to work out. I never received a confirmation email and Im a mom so I cant flippin remember how many boxes I ordered. So far I have asked them one question through support with a very prompt reply. However, I didnt like how they just sent an email out, no notice of shutting down business, and I JUST ordered the boxes 2 weeks ago, why would they be filling orders? Maybe they were just trying to make it to the end of the year. So I am feeling guilty on my end about writing a really bad review about them when they fulfilled all my boxes and got them sent to me in a very timely manner after having to shut down their business.

Charge card for auto renew without authorization. I was not allowed to cancel due to the boxes being reserved for my daughter. Told 2 times her box was on the way. A month later, customer service informed me that they ran out of princess boxes (the boxes that I was charged prior so they could reserve them) so my daughter was moved to the Hot Wheels program that ships differently.
The set up of this company is a scam. I purchased a year worth of boxes. The first year was fine. When it was set to renew I cancelled one day late and they made me keep my subscription. However, in year two only one princess box has arrived and they have sent two National Geographic boxes. I tried contacting the company to which they sent me an email to cancel my membership. Horrible company hope people dont keep getting ripped off. So frustrated.
I hope that my review stops people from buying. I purchases a Disney Pley box in July and here it is October and I should've gotten 2 boxes already for my daughter and we have gotten NOTHING! I contacted support 3 times and each time was told that the box was on its way! Where is it coming from? Iceland! I told them I wanted a refund as this was extremely frustrating and it worth my time and I was told they don't do refunds! Are you joking me! Pretty much this company is a scam and they want your money. Stay away! Dont place an ordef!
Do not use this company. They "ran out" out of the princess stuff even though you can go on their website and purchase it. Email support is a joke and no phone number. They received an F rating on BBB.
I got the Princess box for my daughter last year and paid for a year. They had some issues along my journey with them however I was assisted every time I wrote in about it. This year my account was changed to Nat Geo because I had received all the Disney boxes. I was skeptical of this but my daughter loves this box even more than the Disney I think. I'm still a longtime customer and as long as she loves it I do to.
My daughter got a gift for 12 months for the National Geographic box. She likes it and also plays with the digital mission it comes with. I liked that she is doing an educational activity and not just watching youtube.
