DISCUSTING. My sister and i worker so hard digging through our closets finding hardly worn name brand items. Some of the great brands included nike american eagle pink levi's champion and adidas. I FEEL TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF USED AND SCAMMED.after waiting for three hours for our clothes to be sorted we come to find out that they only tookone pair of shoes and a couple of shirts. WE ONLY RECIVED LESS THAN 30 DOLLARS. REDICULAUSES! They saw that we where children and decided to play their games with the bags and take advantage of our lack of business education. Most employees where on their phones and not helping their fellow customers they returned all of our bags and i knew they didn't look through them because they where left in the exact same positions as when i dropped them off. This is disgusting and i demand justice!

Platos closet is a RIP off when it comes to selling clothes they cheat you for your money I went in their one day and had some shorts and others clothes they took my shorts and PAYED ME $2.00 for and I had a Van's crop top that I payed 40$ for and also PAYED ME $2.00 the cashier Crystal is the one whole looked at them and she really cheats you and would not recommend just helping yall out and letting yall know if yall are tryna sell in platos closet in the area of Dothan AL please dont you will be very disappointed!

They give you $1 and sell for $10, $15. I will never bring anything there again. They only buy nearly new items.

Went with 2 bags of clothes as told. However, I was informed that my 2 bags half full was not acceptable. After dealing with some youngster in charge, he said it was Ok. They finally took my bags and told me to return in 3 hours... amazing! They are across town & I really wanted to see how the process works so I said ok. I came back within the specified time only to be told I should have waited for a text. No instruction was given other that come back. They are very unprofessional and imbarass you infornt of customers shopping in the store. I however always keep it professional & went along with the process. They guy finally found my property & told me that my teenager male clothes in the bag were too dressy. Therefore, they didn't want to purchase anything. This experience was like a hidden camera show where they test your patience. As they stated when I arrived that they were very busy, I really don't believe they even looke in the bags as she had some items with the price tag stil on them. Such a disappointment! I went right next door to Goodwill and received my receipt for a tax writeoff. Please don't waste your time. The environment was very lax and unprofessional. I wasted an entire day for nothing but lost gas. I predict they will be out of business soon! Unfortunate, because it was a great business idea. The atmosphere is terrible! If you don't believe me, go in yourself!

Don't go to this place they are racist and talk about you when you're shopping! I heard a girl talking about a customer right in front of me.

I arrived at the store. There are about four young woman at the desk. I said hello no one acknowledged me I said hello generally, it's polite to greet someone when they enter your place of employment. I may have been a little aggressive on the second hello but the fact that no one couldn't even acknowledge my presences was a little shocking to me, especially when you are can customer service.

I'm there to sell clothes and everything is going fine they're gonna call me in a few hours. I return to the desk and tell her that I forgot some things that Ron hangers one of which was a $500 jacket. She says you don't set the price on the island we do I said I know Mass I was just letting you know that it was a valuable item and she's like I don't like your vibe you need to take your stuff back. At which point it's her right to refuse service her reason being wise, she didn't like my vibe. I continue to stay in the store and shop for about 15 more minutes, so I was just banned from selling not shopping. I was respectful the entire time I did not swear the only rude thing that I said was when I asked the woman her name and she said it was Karen. I said that sounds about right.

A couple of years ago I recall bringing a Lacoste sweater there with the tags still on it it was $164 and they offered me nine. I sold it to them then regretted that asked if I could have it back and I said yes, but it would be $56.

Although if this isn't 100% true I think they somewhat prey on the poor if you're gonna give someone nine dollars for $164 sweater I mean what type of business is that. I'm 37 years old I've never written a bad review on the business in my life however,Karen, the manager was absolutely awful. It's totally understandable why they have 1.5 stars I would avoid going here at all costs.

Very strange they would let me ship but not buy my clothing. Are you going to treat me like a customer or just be rude to me the entire time until I leave.

Disgusted, disappointed & disrespected. I have been buying and selling clothes to Platos closet for over five years now. Today was the absolute worst experience I have ever had and may be the last time I step into a Platos at any location. Tonight I went to the Cumming, GA location to sell and buy some clothing before heading to college. I was nicely greeted by Morgan and then BEN starting go through the THREE filled bags I brought in. As I watched BEN he did not pick up or look at one item, he dumped the bag out items fell to the floor and he put them straight back into the bag, the clothes on the floor he kicked to the side gathering dust, dirt and whatever else is on the floor, no regard at all that these are my own personal items that I work hard to pay for (and some items still had tags on them) and no regard that I am a customer. I understand not all items are taken but everyone should be given the respect they deserve as should the clothing brought in. I was absolutely disgusted that BEN was not respectful toward me or my items. When BEN called me back up to the counter there wasn't even eye contact made. He stated he was passing on all items. Do you want to be treated like this? I don't. I'll be taking my clothing to Uptown Cheapskate or donating from now on. Disgusted, disappointed, and disrespected by the service from BEN and Platos closet tonight.

Always friendly smile and helpful employees with every visit! I sold my items and rec'd 63.00! Always a good day when we go to Plato's!

Very weird heard this place carried good stuff and went in there and almost everything is extremely used. What a waste time going there.

I would not recommend Platos Closet as an employer due to the fact that they don't know how to train their employees correctly and then fire them.

Platos is awesome! They always take my clothes and give me the right money for them. They also sell such cute items!

Our local platos, we been shopping at since it got been. We spend 200 to 500 each time. I was in there a few weeks ago and was told my teens couldn't try on sale items or bring them back. Mind you they always have and they having growing spurts. So, we go in today with one big bin of shoes. I mean nice most never one shoes. Botquie ones too. Two big bins of clothes and a trash bag full. Half of them or more still had tags. The other half at least a quarter of them or more I got from that platos within the last year. I had anerican eagle, simply southern, shein, Nike more name brand and boutique clothes. They took absolutely nothing! After one all the money I've spent at that place, number two we're in there enough to see some of the crap they sale! Like slutty looking clothes is what most of the women's stuff is. And I've seen stuff with stains and holes in there a good bit. I've seen walmart clothing and plain stuff but yet I go up there with name brand and a lot stuff that has tags on them. Plus they told me it would be over an hour to look through my stuff bc I had a lot. And I left and got a text in 20 mins they were done. Seriously doubt they even looked at it all. I will never step foot in a platos again. Yall can kiss that 3000 to 5000 a year goodbye.

Love this place. I found lots of great dresses. The shoes are cute. I get most of my shorts and leggings here.
