I utilized their free trial and cancelled within the time allotted. They charged me for a full year anyhow. When looking for something else I noticed online at my credit card site that they never refunded my account. I contacted them and the credit card company. Picmonkey never emailed me a refund / cancellation statement or if they did it went into any junk folder and maybe was deleted. CC says without that they can not refund. PM refuses to do anything. As someone who was loved the Nordstrom Way and other great customer satisfaction companies I find Picmonkey's treatment of this customer and its practice to be shameless and pitiful.
I just learned I've been charged $47.88 eight times and $41.19 one time since 2017 for a PicMonkey account that I canceled after a free trial. This comes to $424.23 in charges. (I even got charged twice in one year for an annual membership I never agreed to or used!) Additionally, I didn't receive a single email notification about any charges or auto renewals. This is fraudulent. I contacted PicMonkey and they're only willing to return one $47 fee and said I should've reached out sooner. I couldn't reach out sooner because I had no idea I was being charged since they never sent receipts or notices of auto billing before billing me. Fraudulent company with deceptive practices - clearly they are desperate for customers or they wouldn't resort to such tactics. I want my money back.
PicMonkey has the worst customer service department I have ever dealt with. I made a mistake and opened 2 accounts, and instead of helping me correct the problem the staff ended up canceling both of my accounts even though I had paid for both and only requested the monthly account to be closed. When I let supervisor Jay know about what happened, he said he understood my frustration but now that his staff closed both accounts there was no other recourse but for me to pay for the annual account again. So, I am out $120, how is that customer service?
In 2020 PicMonkey was my go-to for my social justice blog, podcast, and youtube channel. It had an overwhelming library to choose from. Once it was sold it seemed to become very right-leaning to the point that when I tried to find some MLK images I was given an overwhelming amount of American flag pictures.
I then tried to look up BLM which used to have a lot of variety. Unfortunately, I was only able to find one or two references which were far outweighed by the "All Lives Matters" images.
It seems as if they are doing everything they can to pretend that there is nothing wrong in this country.
I have been trying to contact you, via your support for days. Would just like to know when you are going to respond to my emails. I signed up for a trail account and I specifically asked to be billed on a monthly basis. You have charged my account for a yearly subscription. After I signed up it never worked properly, so I did not like to app. You have charged me £77. And would like to be refunded for this. I know you are going to say that I was fully aware of being charged for the entire year, but I see that many of your customers have had the same problem. They can't all be just saying this for a refund. I would suggest that you check out this problem on your website and fix the issue.
BEWARE! This company will charge your credit card for a year subscription for a so-called "Free Trial" and refuse to cancel it in spite of stating that they would issue a refund. This is a scam company.
I signed up for the free 7 day trial. I didn't like the site and cancelled within an hour. Three days later there was a charge for $120 from them. My trial period had not ended and I cancelled but I was still charged. I tried contacting them and of course they used covid-19 as an excuse not to get back to you. If you notice they don't show proof of the day you signed up for the free trial. For me it was on the 8th of January.
With a free account, you cannot do anything you wouldn't be able to do with MS Paint and Photo. They will NEVER delete our account claiming "don't have a tool to delete PicMonkey accounts completely." even though their website says "Upon request, PicMonkey administrators can permanently delete personally identifiable information. If you are an EU customer and would like your account to be deleted, please visit your Account page."
Worst customer service EVER!
I created a trial account using a disposable email. In doing so, I had to use my credit card for the trial.
Then, I cleared my browser history, and lost access to the account as my login wasn't saved.
I went through the absolute hassle of emailing multiple parties at this company, and they kept referring me back to an email I told them I didn't have access to. I proved it was my account by showing the charge, showing a picture of my credit card, repeatedly referring to my name on the email, and repeatedly demonstrating that I was the owner of the account.
However, they refuse to help in any meaningful way. They keep referring me back to the email I have no access to, despite me telling them repeatedly i don't have access.
Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone for any reason.
They got access to my google account without permission so i had to block their access. Then, the got my email and phone number and strated spaming me with alerts! I am STILL trying to block them do not get it!

I cancelled my account with them in the beginning of 2018... I wanted to start their services up again around June and realized they had been charging me EVERY SINGLE MONTH since I cancelled. I let it go as it was around $50 but still emailed them as I was not happy about it. I then bought a year purchase for a project i was working on and IMMEDIATELY cancelled the renewal. I am now AGAIN getting charged after cancelling... A YEAR LATER.
Do not use this site or company. They are consistently charging fraud and I'm going to have to get a whole new credit card because of this.
I signed up for trail and never used their service. The next year they charged me again after I thought I had the account cancelled after the trial. I disputed with the credit card company and got my money back. Then a month later they spent time and money trying to get my charge back on my card. Even though they could tell that I never logged back on to use their service. This is terrible business practices. Horrible company. Stay Away.
By the way. I have never written a complaint against any other company. This company really upsets me to treat customer like this. If they need $70 that bad, they must be hurting for cash.
The program is easy enough to use, granted, but they get you with an 79$ charge, after saying 7.99 after the free trial ends. I am looking into false advertising due to the fact that this is an ongoing issue with the company. I saw a few reviews on their facebook page as well that outline this issue. There is no phone number or contact information for this company and any links they give you in their site to "help" reconcile the situation just link you circles back to your own account page. I am very unhappy with this service and still continuing to try to contact this company for a refund.
I was a customer since they began many many years ago, and the new version is a GIANT waste of your time and money. Like being back in the dial up days. Customer support is a bad as it gets. Whenever I edit a photo and save it to my computer, the image looks fine. But when I send it it is missing part of the top and bottom. I am a paying member and this started with their new "improvements". Before this I would have given them four stars.
My favorite editing website so far, i just love it! I used it for a while 2 years ago, then it became very stupid for a year or something, and recently it became awesome again. I'm using it for the past 5 months to edit some renders done by me in 3ds max program and then i modify some lighting problems and put a frame and other stuff on pic monkey. It is so much easy and fun. I truly recommend it to everyone i know.

If I could give them ZERO stars I would. I signed up for the free trial canceled the subscription and was billed 120.00 for the full year the only option the give is to lower the plan. I don't need this service and would like it to be canceled effective today 4-21-20. I have no problem with the service being prorated but I don't want to pay the for a full year when I'm not using the service. I can't afford this with COVID-19 going on and shelter in place please cancel the service and refund my money.
I used to love using this site and would have rated a 5 stars, however, I just found out last night that for those people who used the site for the free services, that you must get membership (you get a free week trial for it) in order to save your images. This is surely a rip off in itself because there are other editing sites (that are the same quality as picmonkey or even better) that offer free services that picmonkey used to. I've been a member for 5+ years using picmonkey and recommended friends to use it. They just lost my business since I don't trust them to start charging and stealing my credit information just so I can save images.
Tldr: Essentially, for those who want to use free online editing tools picmonkey is longer that site to use.
