Been paying member of pic monkey for many years. Once loved it, but NO more. They chugged out an overbuilt, bloated "new design' of the site. More money for them. But not enough money put into perfecting ease of use design. A p-poor rollout on flat tires.
They reduced the two inch wide picture bars that actually told you what tool each was, to a. 25" circle that is unreadable and has generic name instead of the precise names like 'ombre', 'blur' etc.
They moved everything around. NOTHING is where it once was, and features we used heavily are missing completely. The learning curve to learn this muddled site, is steep now. Suggest you pass it by completely for a site that is: a] user friendliness with all options pic monky has hidden or eliminated. B}That you choose a site that has welcoming and friendly customer service instead of snarly, disinterested people. 3} if you have a disability, seek sites that follow ADA policies [American Disabilities Act] which says that if a disabled person asks for an accomodation, a discussion will be opened to make an adaptation. Having low vision, I told a customer service man from pic monkey that the new picture headers were too small to see, [the. 5-. 25 inch circles], that the software they were running seemed not to display right on imac [ overlapping columns and text,] and that the light gray print on the site is IMPOSSIBLE to read for people who have low sight. His reply was 'That's the way it is.' End of convo for him. Really hurtful
You shouldnt have to spend more time searching and searching for tools on picmonkey than you are spending on your art. One of the MOST important features of any graphic or art apps/software, is spontaneity and flow of your execution of your ideas,.
IMO Pic Monkey took a huge greedy wrong turn in their cheap redesign. You can go back to old picmonkey on their site with incessant and irritating pop-ups that keep trying to steamroller you into "new" picmonkey, That old app works on Flash, and that is going defunct in dec 2020. So even that will be messed up st Picmonkey. They want to rake in money it appears but dont want to spend money to build competent non-buggy platforms that work for all,
Good luck; I know you'll find better; there are at least 40 other apps rated far far higher than picmonkey. Google for those.
